I recently went to the Hatfield for a meal with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. The food was well presented and the staff were very friendly. The homemade chips were a little greasy, as they had been fried, but they tasted good! It is situated on the seafront, near the pier. There is ample parking outside if you arrive after 6pm, but there are restrictions before that time. We were able to eat our food looking over the sea, which was really nice on a sunny end-of-summer evening. We didn't feel rushed, so spent a very nice evening chatting, drinking, and eating.
