Simply stunning, both in location and character. Unless you were local you would have no clue that this little pub was present in its extremely out of the way setting.
Access is via a little long and winding country lane (famous for an appearance on top gear a few years hence) the drive to this pub can quite simply turn into a natural history lesson itself. I have seen on this drive marsh harriers, a barn owl, a tawny owl and numerous other marsh birds. Once you reach the pub the view out to the eastury is breathtaking and on a winters evening sitting in the pub looking at the cold scene outside makes the pub feel even warmer.
Serving traditional pub food (deep fried camembert anyone?) it is simply yet exceptionally tasty. Very well priced and plenty of tables so you need not book.
The sunday roast is especially worth a nice drive out for. Go and investigate, you won't be disappointed read more
