We ordered two Beef roasts and a cheeseburger with millionaire fries for the mains. When these came out they were underwhelming to say the very least. The roast Beef I was embarrassed by what had been sent out the 3 roast potatoes were very small and cold, the Yorkshire puddings were flat and very chewy . The parsnips were burnt to the point that they were charcoaled and inedible and the carrots were only slightly better. The Beef was over cooked and was quite tough to eat. On a plus the gravy was very nice but I have to say that was the only positive on the plate. The cheeseburger was mediocre to say the least and the millionaire fries were over oiled and this resulted in the fries at the bottom of the bowl being soggy. When we explained the issues to the waitress she pulled a face and said oh sorry about that and walked off with the plates. There was no offer of telling the kitchen or the manager nor did we feel that she really cared that we were not satisfied with the food. The total bill came out at £122.00 and I have to say that after being served what we had this really wasn't value for money or good service. If you are looking for a nice, enjoyable value for money meal out this is not the place to go.

When the dinners were brought to the table and mine was put in front of me, I said " That's not mine, I ordered beef" and was ignored. I thought it was gammon. When I tried to cut the meat it was so tough it was impossible to cut. It was red and bloody. Eventually our friend said " I can't cut this meat" . We called the manager over to our table and said the meat was so raw we couldn't cut it. His solution - steak knives! We all said no, we want the lamb. When that finally was served it was gristly and stringy. So we picked at our meals. When the bill came, they had the audacity to have already added a tip! Truly the worst meal I've ever had. We have never booked and have always managed to get a table, although we haven't tried to eat on a Saturday night. There is a garden out the back which means it is ok to take children. The supercilious bouncers, rather than recognise regular customers, or take care of their clientele, treat you with distain. You are not even worthy of eye contact. God forbid you should try and make conversation. The final straw was last Saturday night; my best friend's Hen Party. The owner had met the groom at a charity event the week previous, and graciously offered a booth for the Hen, free of charge, and promises of 'being taken care of'. Ooooo, how lovely. So generous. The bride was so excited. We all were. When our party arrived at MuMu, there was no booth for us, but a sectioned off table, in the bar area, away from the dance floor. Disappointed it was not one of their 'booths', as promised, next to the dance floor, but fine, no problem, we were just pleased to have 'an area', and looking forward to enjoying the promised hospitality. I asked the manager if we could sort out some drinks for the hens. He said the owner was not there, and there was no note to say a bottle of wine or champagne had been arranged. Oh. How odd I thought. This wasn't what we were expecting at all! Confused and disappointed but I wasn't going to let anything spoil this special evening for my friend. "No problem" I said. "Could I purchase a bottle of wine or champagne"? "No. We don't sell that". "Ok, could I get a few pitchers / jugs or fish bowls"? - "No, we don't do that either". Hmmmm. " I have 16 thirsty ladies, what can I get them to kick start the evening?" I was offered a bottle of Smirnoff Vodka with mixers for £95.00 !!!!! (Oh and it wasn't even a large bottle of vodka! I think the Spa sells it for £18.00.) Alternatively I could buy cocktails at £8 / £9 a pop. "Well I need 16 drinks now - can you not do a pitcher - or at least give me a (bulk buy) discount whilst we wait for your bar staff to mix up the drinks". NO. Apparently not. Far too much effort for them. Flabbergasted, and totally unimpressed, but refusing to let anything spoil my friend's special night, I bit the bullet and bought the £95.00 bottle of vodka, from the unsmiling unfriendly bar staff (to match the bouncers). We all had a drink at our table, and then whisked ourselves upstairs to boogie the night away. I popped back down to our table after 20 minutes or so only to find, the £95.00 worth of mixers and remaining vodka had been cleared away!!! I attempted to speak to the manager, but he really wasn't interested, and I couldn't be bothered to have it out with him. We were 'Trying' to have a good night. I am a 40 year old professional business owner, not some young drunken idiot girl, and I have been on many a Hen Do, where the staff have bent over backwards to ensure the bride-to-be had the most fabulous time. I am truly disgusted with Mu Mu's and their staff for almost ruining this Hen Party. Some of the ladies had travelled from miles all over the country. The attitude of ALL the staff was antiseptic! Do NOT have your party here! Free booth or not. You're better off paying through the nose and finding a venue that actually cares if your enjoy your evening, and who knows, makes you feel a little bit special.
