They are tidy, each day they clean up before packing it in. The material they use is top of the line. I had tile removed and a hardwood floor put in, looks amazing. If they hit a snag they called me, explained and asked before doing something they may add cost to the project. I dont even think to call anyone else. I have many more projects and am a repeat customer.

The door was installed incorrectly and was falling off a few weeks later. He said he would be out to fix it a day later. He didn't show up. It took him over a month to come back. Constant phone calls and emails were either ignored or appointments were made and then he didn't show up. Never had the courtesy to call either. We simultaneously had him do some odd jobs at another house which he completed for the most part but I had to chase him for over 3 months for a receipt. He would promise I would have to receipt by the end of the day and wouldn't get it. He would promise I would have it by the weekend, wouldn't receive it. Didn't have any problem cashing the check It's not that Ray isn't capable of doing good work, he just can't be trusted to communicate or follow up on appointments. He would be better as an employee but shouldn't be a business owner.

If you are thinking about hiring someone out of the phonebook, think again!…read moreI hired this company on 4/25 to fix a window that was hard to open. The owner came by, said he could fix it, charged me $25 and said he would come back in a few days. On 4/28, he came and fixed my window and asked for another $50. After work, I tried to open the window and it was broken again. He came back, looked at it, and said he would contact Harvey for a piece (I believe this to be the balance) and would get back to me in a week. He never did. I called him the next week and he said I'll be there next Tuesday. He never came or called again. I called him again, and this process repeated for 7 weeks. Every time I called he said he would be there the next week and never showed or called. It is now 6/8, and I am frustrated at this point, so I just want my money back so that I can call another contractor, because I don't believe he ever planned on coming back. And why would I, it's not like he called me to let me know he wasn't coming or to reschedule. Anyway, I called again and he promised to come on 6/6 and this was my final date. He did not show or call...again. So I texted him Wed morning and he said he would definitely come tomorrow between 6:30am and 7am, because he knows i go to work at 8am. Well, it's tomorrow and I had to leave the house in 15 minutes (and...I'm finally at my breaking point), so I texted him that I would be by his house to collect my money. I only said that, because I didn't believe he would ever drive back to my house to return money. He called back and told me that I was not getting my money back and that he was actually on his way but sitting in traffic and that he did me a favor only charging 75 dollars when it usually would cost 150. Well, I gladly would have payed 150 for a fixed window, but now I payed 75 for a broken window. If he was really in traffic and not going to make it, wouldn't he have called so that he would not continue to drive to my house when I'm not going to be home? Also, so what favor did he give me? Except the stress of thinking he's burning me for 7 weeks. Anyway, after a few texts back and forth he finally said it wasn't worth the aggravation and that he would mail my check out tomorrow. I texted back,"Thanks, that would be a great gesture, since I still have a broken window." Anyway, we will see if he really returns the money. I doubt it, but If not, paying 75 dollars so that someone else doesn't have an experience like mine is going to have to suffice. Maybe I can help someone else to avoid this in the future. Update: he never sent me my refund!

If you want quality work, excellent communication, and ease of mind, hire Build Pros. We originally wanted to have our microwave vented out (rather than circulating air and grease in the kitchen) and add a second banister to the stairs to the basement to make them more safe for our growing toddler. We were also considering having our spare basement bathroom remodeled. The bathroom really wasn't very functional because it was built in pieces (so the gross tiny stall shower wasn't even in the bathroom). That was a big job, and we wanted to get a quote for all three pieces. The first two jobs were too small on their own, so we hired Build Pros for all three. They were amazing to work with, and the work they did was the highest of quality. The team was extremely communicative, and we always knew when they were coming, what they were doing next, and what to expect. Their spreadsheet system made it really easy for everyone to keep track of what we had selected, costs, etc. They helped us a ton with design decisions, made recommendations when appropriate, and made sure we were happy with absolutely everything before moving forward. Our house stayed unbelievably clean, given the level of work they were doing, throughout the process. Mike and Rouben were fantastic at reimagining the layout of our bathroom, taking all of our priorities into consideration. John, their carpenter, is a master. We went way over budget, but a lot of that was my fault. I wanted a bathroom that was functional, but the more we talked and designed, the more I realized we actually could get a really *nice* bathroom that wasn't just functional, but high end. They did a bunch of other random things in the area too. We just were so happy with their work, and they were already there, so we asked them to fit in a few small things and they were awesome in getting those done too (adding a couple outlets in the adjacent home gym, replacing our outdoor water spigots, etc.). We are extremely happy with the final products. We even had a water problem shortly after they finished. They fixed it swiftly with no charge. It might have been a part issue or a labor issue, and so in the beginning it was unclear whether we were going to have to pay for repairs right away. I would have been very disappointed if they had charged us, and have all the more confidence in them since they fixed it and stood by the work and warranty. The only real negative was that sometimes when we had to make a decision, and the team gave us a quick "off the cuff" estimate about how much a few different options would cost, the estimate was really a fair amount lower than estimated. That contributed to some of our cost increase, but in the end I think we would have made the same decisions regardless. We're extremely happy with the final products. We even hired them again and they're starting work at my mother-in-laws house this week! I'm already dreaming of putting an addition on our house in the future, and we will hire them absolutely if/when we do this.
