Not only does Doggie Style charge a few bucks less than where we were previously bringing our pup, but they also did a better job! Plus you can't beat the convenience of having your groomer come to you. Brittany got to our house right at 2, the van was parked on our street with our dog in it for about an hour, and he came out so clean and fluffy. She took the time to brush him out and clip him rather than shave him down. We will absolutely continue to use their services. The only thing that would improve things would be Saturday appointments (the hours are Monday-Friday), or late evening appointments during the week. It's not a huge inconvenience to take an afternoon off or to work from home every 9 weeks for us, but I can see how it would make it easier for a lot of people.

One dog was very old and sick when I brought him in, and they took amazing care of him. When it became apparent he wasn't going to make it (and I knew that was a distinct possibility when I brought him in) they rushed him to the vet, and on his last day, visited him there out of sheer good will and concern, to say goodbye to him. They gave his "sister" extra love and support and walks because she was so distraught and needed extra attention. They went above and beyond the call of duty, walk the dogs so much, and are so full of compassion for the animals, it is clearly not "just a job" for them! The animals are well exercised and their rates are incredibly reasonable. It was distressing to leave my animals anywhere for so long (really, I am not a bad dog mammy!) sometimes life just throws you a curveball and I am grateful to them for helping me through the difficult times. Won't go anywhere else!

Then, they went back and got her in the morning and nurtured her while we were gone. I could not have asked for better care for Caroline. Then I go to pay and the staff felt so bad. I could not ask for any more care than they gave Caroline. Pawnal Pets is our "go to" pet hotel for a reason. They are amazing.

Even they never stay long though. This has been going on for years, so it's clear the problem lies with upper management. Recently I spent over 5 solid minutes waiting for help to get a creature for my fish tank, was told someone would come and no one did. This was after I wandered for a few minutes trying to find someone. Two employees stayed by the register. One got all panicky and couldn't do it, the other guy stood there the ENTIRE time chit chatting with a customer (personal convo, not just small talk to be nice). I finally gave up, they lost a sale. I'll just start driving over to a different pet store in NY. Oh and the insect feeders are all half dead because they don't provide fresh gel cubes/water.

Not only is the store filthy, but the poor bettas are kept as if they're being punished for unmentionable sins. For every betta with clear water and decent health, there are five with murky, unchanged water. What's worse is the dead ones, floating side-up, eyes glazed, fins rotting, gills covered in fungus. What's even more appalling than the horrendous conditions is the blatant and cruel disregard and disrespect displayed by the employees for the lives of the fish. When I told a female employee that there were at least three dead bettas, she gave me the snarkiest of attitudes, and said that they "like to float on their sides sometimes". Then, like Darla from Finding Nemo, she grabbed their little cups and SHOOK THEM until either the betta got up (only one did) or continued to float, dead and sorry, corpse desecrated by some crazy, heartless lady shaking it around. She told me that only one of the three I saw was dead, but one of the ones that she shook was DEFINITELY in fishy heaven, but she was too caught up in shaking the poor thing to notice. I have never felt more horror, disgust, and deep-rooted sadness after exiting a pet store. For shame!

She comes home happily exhausted. Berkshire Dogs Unleashed has been fantastic integrating dogs, of any age, size, and breed for socialization. Lea has also had grooming and regular nail trimming. She has been here since week 1 and her training with them was above and beyond expectation. They were also very proactive when kennel cough ran rapid twice last year and were able to prevent dogs from being affected. The staff that the Kohlenbergers hire treat the dogs (and their people) like family. Courteous and respectful. BDU had also made incredible strides for their community. They supported and held a fundraiser for a young, sick boy from Pittsfield who had to spend months in Boston....(#Carterstrong) At Christmas, they sponsor a giving tree for kids in need. No tag was left behind. Every child cared for. They have held a wonderful canine carnival fundraiser for BASK (Balance and Service K9s). Story book donations to Williams School. They even sent me a get well token after I had emergency surgery in February. More recently, (Berkshire Poodles with the Kohlenberger family) has donated several comfort dogs (18 to date) into all of Berkshire County. I can tell by this expression how much she enjoys the facility and the staff. In their constant photo shares, daily, you can see she's playing and engaging with others. See for yourself. They are more than happy to show you around. We trust them with a member of our family.

They got a lot of the fur out especially are new addition to the family Maximus , he had so much fur we need professionals for the job, he looked so much better afterwards. My dog Remi has been going to daycare here for 2.5 years and she loves it. I'm only able to bring…read moreher once a week but when that day comes and I ask if she wants to go to daycare she perks up, starts spinning in circles and can't wait to get out the door. When I pick her up and bring her home she's exhausted, she gets on the couch and doesn't move for the rest of the night. Even the next morning it's hard getting her out of bed. The ladies that work here are great too. They're accommodating and very friendly. My dog doesn't need grooming but if she did I'd totally trust these guys! Niki (the owner) does a great job grooming from what I've seen. These ladies work hard too, they're there when I drop off and still there when I pick up after working a full 8 hour day and getting a quick workout in. And their prices are good
