The lobby is large and modern, with the bistro bar in the front. There was a nice level of energy at the bar, with people socializing and 80s hair metal music playing in the background. We had a couple of drinks and a flatbread. The drinks were too shelf with Drippings Springs Vodka and carefully crafted. The rooms are large and designed with a flare that makes sense. Unlike A W hotel, where they sacrifice flow with being clever, the Indigo rooms have a nice feel elevated above the standard room in this price range. The clean, comfortable king bed and extra-large shower made for an upscale stay at an excellent price. We'll stay there again!

The Giraffe barn is attached to one side of the house, and their pasture is on the other side. It is the most fabulous "Barndominium" with incredible finishes and clearly thoughtfully designed. That experience alone was mind-blowing.... however we also had the Gold Packages and were able to experience everything the ranch had to offer! Zebras, Capybaras, Kangaroos, Otters, Deer, Homer the Dromedary!!! Everywhere you turned there were more animals and more experiences offered. My children and I were in absolute animal heaven and will be thrilled to return. I will say, our vacation was expensive and it did not disappoint. However, I do believe you can absolutely visit this ranch on a budget.... Probably one of the best experiences was their ranch safari and that is a nominal price and totally worth it! You can see the entire property and all of the animals on the safari trip. Additionally they have fantastic cabins that are themed, and if you have children under the age of 10, the pirate themed cabins are beyond your wildest imagination.... as far as I am aware all of the sleeping accommodations include kitchens so you can absolutely cook for your family instead of paying for the delicious ranch food. That said... Chef Alan is phenomenal and out of this world excellent chef. Each meal was made with love and artistry. The staff at Blue Hills Ranch all go above and beyond to create lasting memories for you. I absolutely recommend this experience as a NOT TO BE MISSED event! We are already planning a return in October/November depending on availability . Cannot wait. Looking forward to being among these amazing staff members (shout-out to Jen, Anne, Shelby, Emily, Chesney, Alan...) the guard dogs, and all of the incredible exotic animals. Thank you, Matt!

The entire staff was absolutely amazing--so accommodating, personable, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. The chef was incredible! Not only was the food delicious, but he was also so personable. He would come out and sit with us, talk with us, and make sure we were happy with everything. That personal touch made the experience even more special. The staff truly went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I had one of the most memorable weekends of our lives. We felt genuinely cared for throughout our entire stay. I cannot recommend this ranch enough. If you're looking for a special getaway with wonderful people, amazing food, and exceptional hospitality, this is the place. We had such an incredible experience and will definitely be back!

The air conditioner could not keep up in May when the high outside was 90. I looked across the room at any given point and most of the crowd was sitting and fanning their faces with paper. Sweating. Sitting and sweating from 5pm until 9pm. I asked one of the servers about the situation and they stated the owners did not properly fit out the building from an air conditioning angle. My wife is eternally cold, even in summer. She even said she was hot. Rent in cool weather only.

Taylor was very helpful, professional, and a great Ambassador for the Marriott family of hotels! The hallways are well lit and clean. The rooms clean and nicely decorated. The water pressure is good. The toilet flushes very loud and the handle needs a little extra effort, which could be better. The parking is plentiful but the surrounding area is not the best neighborhood. There is an abandoned store right across the street and it appeared to be a sketchy area. There are plenty of eating spots nearby and it is very convenient to the college and highway. The price was right! The towels were white and absorbent. Of course, hotels are going toolight on the amenities though so there was only one small soap provided. I also don't really like the dispensers in the shower that contains the shower gel, shampoo and condcause they can easily be opened and tinkered with by a guest. I bring my own amenities now. It would be nice if hotels used dispensers that could only be opened by a special tool The sheets were fresh. There was no cream and only one regular/2 decaf coffees...I had to go to lobby to get cream. It's nice that there is coffee and tea in the lobby though which I believe is comp. Again, the front desk associate Taylor was amazing! I would definitely return.

The Not so Good: -Did not love the breakfast selections (received one voucher per day redeemable for one item). Out of the breakfast burrito both days, and the breakfast biscuit was something found in the frozen section. Cinnamon roll was so dry I didn't even bother eating it. -If your room faces the road, it can be noisy at times with loud cars. Not bad, but not great.

There were a few folks there selling things but it was pretty deserted. There's a stairway up to a higher level where the artists work but being the holiday season it was also pretty empty. The employee was very nice and was giving recommendations about a certain artist to check out. The parking situation is limited and you'll have to find a street spot or pay to be in a lot.
