I completely understand salons need cancellation policies to manage their schedules. However, I was disappointed that the €93 deposit was retained with no option to transfer it to a future appointment, despite giving notice. The salon itself has a great reputation and I would genuinely like to book again, so I hope there might be some flexibility or goodwill for returning clients in situations like this. Not that it was needed as there was plenty of people who were happy to help with whatever I needed down to a phone charger. My stylist really listened to me and I felt like she really understood what I wanted and she delivered that and more and told me what she thought would look best too which I am glad she had because she done a beautiful job. My haircut I asked for a really layered style with bangs and I love it. Overall my experience here at the space was beyond my expectations from the moment I walked in with a lovely greeting from the girls to the second I walked out and was left with care. Will definitely be back! Thank you so much to Jorja for my colour and cut x

They rang me back within five minutes and told me to come for 5pm! I asked for sleek with a wave but had very flat top with very curly ends. I washed my hair the next day and when dried the cut was not the standard I paid for. I needed to go to another salon to have it fixed. This was the last appointment in the evening so maybe this was the issue. I can honestly say I will never go back 59euro for a cut that needs to be fixed is really disappointing.

You also get that blinding-light analysis of 'problem skin areas' but she's really kind and covers your eyes which let's face it is much preferred to any interactive kind of situation involving mirrors and pointing out stuff. There's no hard sell of hundred euro cream (instead it's lovely and soft) and you get to take home your mask of gold which is a little like a death mask arguably but is better cos it's, you know, enlivening. Then to have your nail that had split across the nail bed (due to your excellent reflexes if you say so yourself in catching your laptop as it plummeted towards the ground 3 days earlier) fixed unprompted and as a random act of kindness by magic-hand Annette is just the icing on the cake. Or the acrylic on the nail, strictly speaking. This place is open till nine several nights a week and caters for parties big and small, and is in the expansive basement of a beautiful Georgian house on an elegant terrace, with low lighting and candles a- -go-go (or the ones that look like candles but don't carry the risk). And if you bring your pre wedding girlie party there you get champers and truffles served on a silver platter which may in itself be worth getting married for. Or at least there are worse reasons. So treat yourself. Or better still, look overwrought around your mother when you meet her, complain randomly but consistently about the kids/the job/the car tax/the anti climax of the solar eclipse/whatever you're having, and you might just find that she treats you.
