READ THIS POST BEFORE DOING BUSINESS WITH WOODFORD BROS…read more They were retained to replace my sister's gutters for $10.3K. They wanted a $3.1K deposit which she had to pay in cash because their "credit card reader failed". This amount turned out to be excessive and in violation of NY law. The work was schedule for December of last year. Without notifying her, they rescheduled the installation for March of this year... without her consent. However, my sister who signed the contract became seriously ill... is in the hospital... and would not be available to supervise the work at that later date... a date they rescheduled to do the work without my sister's consent or knowledge. As such, a demand for return of the full deposit was made and refused by Woodford. We will be taking further action. UPDATE While it was inexcusable to have withheld the deposit, Woodford is making a full refund of the remaining deposit and promised to send it certified mail the same day. My thanks to Eric for his prompt response to this matter.

Extremely disappointed with the work Woodford Brothers did in my basement…read more They did waterproofing for me a couple of years ago, and when they dug and re-poured the concrete around the perimeter of my basement, they left the floor with a significant and uneven slope. I didn't notice how bad it was right away because I've been slowly saving up and doing small projects over time to turn the space into a playroom. Once I finally started bringing in professionals to move forward, the issues became impossible to ignore. The slope is so severe that I can't get flooring installers to lay carpet, and shelving can't safely sit against the wall without leaning -- which is a serious safety hazard since this room is meant for my two-year-old. I've called the company multiple times and was told I'd receive call-backs, but no one follows up. No real solution has been offered, and they've shown no willingness to fix the problem. Even a professional from Lowe's said they had never seen a job done like this and that it absolutely shouldn't look this way. For the cost of the project and the trust I put in this company, I expected far better. I would strongly recommend getting multiple opinions before choosing Woodford Brothers.

They were concerned that I shouldn't just let anyone have access to my security cameras and wanted to assist at no charge and just "being a good neighbor". Wow, who does THAT anymore? Today everyone wants a Benjamin. In any event, turns our T-Mobile doesn't work well for me so I kept my current internet provider and didn't need for them to come out. That said, I did need my gutters cleaned. They provided a "no pressure" and very affordable estimate after driving past my house (took a photo) so I didn't need to be present. The estimate was not just for cleaning the gutters but removing the gutter guards and rinsing every out. I had quite the mess up there. You can see from the photos they provided me with after the job how bad it was. Photos of before and after? Yes. THEY DO THAT!!!! Their Technicians, Rachell and Vasil were here two hours and did a fabulous job. They gave me a window of time from 11 - 1:30 and they were here within that window. Both of them were quite the team. When I pulled out my checkbook to give them a check, they said "we'll email it to you". Seriously???? They also did a review via email from the owner regarding the job and the overall condition of my roof, and what could be improved. I can't thank them enough. I will be referring them to my friends and coworkers. They stay in constant contact with you via text & email letting you know when the techs are arriving and throughout the whole process. I can't thank them enough. Thanks again to Frank and his wonderful team! I'm the daughter of a self-employed roofer and trust me this is a big deal!

You could wipe your hand across it and a fine rust colored powder came off in your hand. My siding is about 8 years old. I am told this is typical for vinyl siding. Today, 1 day after Wash Genie came to my home, it looks like my home was just newly sided. I am over the moon with the quality and their time and attention to detail. They didn't leave until it looked perfect.

Erich's the kinda guy who can talk the talk (and talk he does, for hours on end), but not walk the…read morewalk. Supposedly he says he has "20 years of sheetrocking experience," but what he really means is he has 20 years of subcontracting experience to others. Most of the work that Erich did, he did in a shoddy way. The only saving grace, and the reason for a 1 star rating, is his workers were decent at their jobs at least. Took roughly a week of work to get my bathroom reno done. The project was simple: get my small, old barnboard and plaster and lathe bathroom up to date with drywall, 2x4 framing, fresh coat of paint, plumbing, tub/shower, and adding new vanities. The project was done in FEBRUARY OF 2025. First, the good parts: Bathroom looks much much better compared to what it started off as: a puke inducingly ugly thing, initially carpeted (which I took out immediately after purchasing the house), followed by scraping layers of rubber rotted carpet underlayment until the ugly plywood remained. The bathroom, after the renovation, now looks modern, clean, and the ceiling is much higher not having to have layer after layer of hackjob framing the previous owner of the house did. Erich's subs did...decent... work, although left much to be desired when it comes to proper finishing. Some drywall joints have visibly large amounts of mud, tape, and paint noticeable. Poor craftsmanship drywalling. The framing was done well at least, so I can do future bathroom renos myself. Last, but not least, a list of screwups off the top of my head that I can pin entirely on the business owner, Erich: The scope of work included adding fiberglass insulation within the walls of the newly framed bathroom--this was never done. Athough not required for inside walls, the scope and invoice pricing included this service. Of course, Erich pocketed the cost of insulation for himself after returning it to the store, rather than refund me for services not carried out, or even leaving the insulation so I could have used it later personally. Then, and this is quite embarassing, he struggled for a solid 45 minutes trying to install a toilet flange. I stand by what I stated: I would never hire you to replace a faucet in the future, let alone any sort of serious construction. Oh yes, he also failed to patch up a huge hole in the wall, which the scope of work included. I've attached a picture showing that, as well as I've labeled who worked on this project on the studs and the tub wall. (In the off chance I get dementia way down the line 40 years in the future, I'll know who did this sort of shoddy work, and not hire that company or their descendants). Finally, it is expected that you maintain a clean working environment. NO protection was used on my hardwood floors, including NO plastic sheets or cardboard sheets to prevent construction debris and dust from getting rubbed in. I had my roomba mop the room at least 3 dozen times before the hardwood got back to its starting shape. Plaster and lath dust gets EVERYWHERE. Oh, and the icing on the cake: Erich was supposed to have hauled away the construction waste after job completion. This was NEVER DONE. In fact, the contractor I hired for my roofing project did that. You should be ashamed of yourself, that ANOTHER contractor had to fix your screwups. My entire garage was FILLED with at least 40 construction bags of debris. All I got were excuses after excuses: oh my guy's wife is sick, oh my truck broke down, etc etc. Keep in mind, this is now AUGUST of 2025 and he still has yet to pick up his junky old vacuum cleaner which he left behind here ON TOP OF THE OTHER JUNK... BACK IN FEBRUARY! (And I just got to this review after so long because I had a whole slew of other projects going on this year--new metal roof, removing a chimney and fireplace, framing and drywalling my living room, etc, all done by another contractor who actually gives cares about proper worksmanship). TLDR: Stay clear of this guy. TERRIBLE business. By FAR the worst contractor I have ever used. See screenshots for more details.
