It feels like a very upscale hotel with the bustling sidewalk restaurants, the gorgeous horse in the lobby (stuffed), and the fabulous rooms. Not to mention the pool! WOW! This rooftop pool has a spectacular view and lots of lounges, and even bar service. The water could have been warmer for me but it felt great after very HOT days. The breakfast was worth every extra penny (try to get your rate to include it as it was 35 Euro). So much interesting food on the buffet, but incredible made to order options too. I had dinner in Limon on my last night and it was so delicious. I wish I had ordered the truffle cheese pasta as I saw them make it in front of many guests but I had the lobster spaghetti which was incredible. Overall, this was a fabulous stay. I would definitely stay there again if I find myself in Vienna.

I asked him for some recommendations upon arrival and he did not disappoint. For pizza he told us to hit Disco Volante and Bros Pizza, for cake he told us to hit Vollpension, and for schnitzel he told us to hit Zum Wohl and 7Stern Bräu. He did not let us down as these places were great. I loved that there was someone in the reception and bar area 24/7. We don't have that here in the states and it made for a great experience. The highlight of the hotel, aside from Ivan, was the amazing breakfast we got each morning of our stay. So many fresh choices and the hot cocoa was fantastic. A great start to my morning every day. It was great to gather with others from my team for breakfast every morning. This would definitely be my go to option for somewhere to stay when I am in Vienna!

I wish I could write about the comfort of the beds or the quality of the amenities, but…read moreunfortunately, I never got the chance. Midway through my stay, I experienced a devastating personal tragedy -- a death in my immediate family. In the midst of overwhelming grief and the need to urgently return home, I was told by the staff that everything would be taken care of. At the time was nice to know and allowed me to focus on getting home. I contacted Capital One Travel with whom I booked through, and they told me the hotel refused to refund the remaining two nights, and they are bound by "hotel policies". I contacted the hotel via email, hoping for understanding and compassion. Instead, it has been a week and I've yet to hear from them besides the email receipt for reimbursement of my prepaid breakfasts. At the time of checking out, I was informed multiple times by Ruby Marie's staff members that I would be reimbursed. Now, I've been met with silence. I understand that businesses have rules, but exceptional circumstances call for exceptional humanity. It's disheartening to see a hospitality business fail so miserably at being hospitable. Ruby Marie's stance has left me feeling unheard and unvalued as a customer. I wasn't asking for special treatment -- just basic human decency. If you're looking for a place that treats guests like people instead of transaction numbers and revenue generators, I recommend you look elsewhere. You never know when life might take an unexpected turn, and it's clear this hotel won't offer you an ounce of grace when it does.

Two items of the dinner were most memorable to us - the hamachi 2-ways and the house sourdough with butter 3-ways. That said, every course was beautifully presented. While I can understand the restaurant didn't want to waste the opened bottles，but this either means their business isn't good so they can't sell their wine or they just have poor business ethics. In either scenario，the tasting experience at Silvio and Nickol left a bad taste in the mouth. At the end，I asked Oscar to hopefully improve the tasting experience in the future and offered 100Euro tip as courtesy.
