I very much liked dealing with Groutsmith. Matthew was very good about coming for the estimate and being prompt. Jonathan did a nice job rechaulking in the bathroom shower and kitchen and it looked great upon completion although I did have to do some cleaning up afterwards. After about 5 months some of the chalking in the bottom of the shower was coming up as well as behind the kitchen sink. I called Groutsmith and they were were very responsive about coming back and doing all the things that needed to be fixed. I appreciate their responsive and willingness to return. Don't bother with this solution. They don't remove bad grout and regrout. They only treat the mold with something superficially and then paint a stain over it. BUT IT COMES BACK! I was very disappointed with Groutsmith. I called for an estimate to have my shower floor cleaned ( or to have the grout replaced whichever was recommended). Johnathan came up and I explained that I was unhappy with the conditions of the shower floor. He said they would do the corners and perimeter ..( I assumed in addition to the floor.). When Andre came he did not do the floor. Andre said that was not on the order he received. I expressly wanted the shower floor done but I was told that was not what the 175.00 covered. Terrible experience!! We hired Groutsmith to remove black stain on shower floor. We were told they would remove the stain and that it was guaranteed for one year. However stain returned in six months. They are now refusing to repair the stain saying their guarantee did not cover mildew stains. The work was performed as promised and I was very pleased with the workmanship of the worker on my master shower stall. The problem came when I checked my credit card account! I was charged twice, within days of each other, double billed. I posted a message on their FB account and was called at 8:15 AM by a woman that said she corrected the error. She was very abrupt and did not seem sincere with her "apology" even when I wanted to know how it happened. She ended the conversation in a rude manner. I would not recommend them to re-stain your grout. You have to pick the color based on a small sample they put down and if it does not look right you are out of luck. Grout breaking up and few loose tikles. Injected ?? around tiles and replaced grout. Had to call for them to come back about 6 months later and replace some of the replacement grout that had already started to deteriorate. They came back and the guys were nice and they redid those. About a month later they had to come back and redo those again. They said there were voids under the tiles and they would all have to be removed and replaced. Big cost. I told them never mind. Within 3 weeks those started breaking up again. I did not call them again. I dug out the grout around all the affected tiles, went to Home Depot and purchased pre mixed grout, installed the grout with a putty knife and cleaned up. 6 months later and all that grout is still perfect. Would never spend money with these guys again. read more

I have to say that the grout looked wonderful when it was cleaned. Technicians were on time and thorough. My poor experience relates to the extra $100 I paid for the 10 yr warranty. Salesperson (owners son) told me that for the $100, they would come out and touch up the tile in traffic areas during that 10 yrs. When I called today for that, 3 yrs later, I was told I had to pay for the cleaning of the traffic areas $430 and the $100 that I initially paid was for touch up of any sealer that had broken down. That is not what I was told when I had the initial quote. I have used only the cleaning products supplied by Groutsmith, as directed. The 10 yr warranty advertised and sold to customers is false so don't bother paying the extra $100. The initial work done was good. read more

This review is for the Port Charlotte location. I had about 90 tiles requiring rebonding The holes were drilled and the bonding material was injected in approximately four hours on day one. On day two they returned to "color match" and fill in the holes with grout. They were at my home for approximately three hours. It looked horrible (see pictures) but I was told to wait for it to dry. As it dried it looked worse. I called the next day to express my disappointment. The owner came out four days later and scrubbed the tiles to remove the grout haze which they had left. I asked about the poor matching of grout color and was told it was hard to match twenty year old dirty grout. In their literature and in their sales pitch they indicate they will match the grout color. They represent themselves as "groutsmiths" but in my experience with them they know little about applying or color matching grout. My floor looks terrible. The cost for this seven hours of shoddy work was $1100.00!!! I feel like I have been scammed. Don't fall for the sales pitch. Call a reputable tile man. The fact they call themselves Groutsmith's should have been my first clue they weren't. read more

Used them to regroup and reseal a large area. When I called les than a year later and complained about the sealer and grout they reluctantly sent a man out to look. With out a doubt he had the most horrible customer service attitude I have ever experienced. He blamed the fact I had dogs, then accused me of using an incorrect product and the most amazing thing was he even opened a cupboard to see if I had been using a "wrong" product. Whatever you do don't use the company.....They do not stand behind their warranty for repair work as it clearly stated on their contract. (One year from 7-11-16 now 3-16 17) I've used them on many occasions on different property's I own. My personal home, condo rental, my oldest sons rental condo as well. I have spent thousands of dollars with them over a 10 year period. Never had the misfortune of having to exercise their warranty. Unfortunately, they did a grout repair for me on 7-11-16 in my home, and two areas did not stand up after the repair. The owners father came to my home and proceeded to tell my wife that his company did not repair this area. It was very evident from the new grout on each side of the damaged grout was a different color, as were all the areas repaired. He than told my wife these areas were not listed on the repair order. (FALSE) I got involved after hearing this exchange and told him, I expected the warranty to be honored and the repair made. He than stated he wasn't making the repair and would have his son call. The salesman, owner's son, came to give prices for multiple jobs in our home.He was arrogant from the beginning, but this was overlooked until he took other phone calls in the middle of measuring our areas. He then stayed on the phone with another customer, answering questions and continuing the conversation, as if I wasn't there. When he finally returned to me, I commented that I didn't appreciate him taking my time to take other calls, he told me "That was a builder and he's more important than you." This is the second time we've used this company. We have tile floors throughout our home. Last January a row of tile buckled up. I called many tile companies, all wanted to tear up the entire floor!!! The Groutsmith's owner came to our home and assured us that his men could repair the tile...AND THEY DID!!! Last week we had the same problem in a different room. Once again, the owner came to our home, gave us a fair price for the repair. The tech, was excellent (same man that made the first repair)!!! Extremely knowledgeable, polite, and professional. When he came back on day 2 to grout, he felt that the adhesive had not dried enough and offered to come back the next morning.
