No apologies, only a very defensive attitude because he decided my wild flowers in the area I didn't want cut were weeds and he couldn't recognized a foot and a half tall rosebush. In his final text, he said "Next time he wouldn't cut anything." I agreed and have not had him back.

The level of broken promises, unprofessionalism, and resulting damage is unacceptable. ​We hired Deuces for a primary tree removal project ( 2 large trees with add on of 3 smaller trees), which the owner personally assured us he would complete himself within two days, starting in July 2025 (July 21, 2025). We paid a required $2,000 upfront as requested. ​A Cascade of Failures and Deceptive Practices ​Illegal Operation & Hapeville Fine: The contractor failed to obtain the required city permit from Hapeville before beginning work, resulting in a fine being issued directly to Deuces for operating illegally. ​Subcontractor Deception: after taking our payment, the owner broke his promise and sent an unknown subcontractor to our property without any notification or consent, and the subcontractor started cutting down the wrong tree, and damaged our home, gutters and knocked down exterior light. ​Catastrophic Property Damage: The subcontractor caused serious damage to our home, including knocking a light fixture down from the house, and shockingly, started cutting down the wrong tree, which is now dying, and a larger tree is leaning closer to the house than before. ​Insurance Denial: The owner explicitly assured me he carried insurance to cover any potential damage. Now that damage has occurred, he denies ever making this statement. ​Major Project Abandonment: The primary tree removal project we hired and paid for was never completed. The small amount of work performed on three smaller trees was not the main job and is certainly not worth the $2,000 advance payment. ​Unprofessional Conduct ​Throughout this ordeal, the conduct has been consistently unprofessional. The tone of some of the text messages has been hostile and stressful. ​Conclusion ​Due to the property damage, the major project left unfinished, the contractor's lies regarding insurance coverage would cover damage if any, and the illegal operation resulting in a fine from Hapeville, I do not feel comfortable allowing this company back on our property for any reason. ​I strongly advise anyone considering Deuces Tree Service & Removal to look elsewhere. After waiting almost two months on an amateur who failed miserably, I contacted Jerry, who made himself available to meet with me promptly. The ones that did show up would not give me a quote on the spot. When it came to the job itself, he brought one other guy to take down my 70 ft. tree using ropes. The fall was perfect and did not damage other things around it. I also had a tree that had fallen and they chopped it up for me and stacked it neatly, asking how long I wanted the logs for firewood. It was cheaper to keep the wood. These guys are professional and their price was less than half the next lowest bid.
