Got a free night stay for One Night Weekend Stay in Deluxe Accommodation - I saw the certificate…read moreand I was thinking fancy! But then when I read the reviews online, I was like oh, whomp whomp. I was less than excited to come here, but this certificate was going to expire beginning of April. I rushed to call the # that was on the certificate. Whenever I called, no matter time or day - no one ever picked up. The vm greeting was by James, I left messages and even wrote email and still never got any responses at all. I was thinking is this certificate going to lapse before anyone calls or emails me back?
I finally called the general # and got connected to someone that passed me to Isis and she helped booked the reservation for me. I want to give her 5 stars, because she actually followed through on our phone call.
I stayed here 3/14 - check in was at 3 pm. I arrived around 4:15 pm and Maria checked me in. She wasn't very hospitable or warm and didn't provide any information, besides elevator to my left. Went up and checked out the room and put stuff down and went to bathroom to wash my hands and I noticed the soap was outside the box. I thought it was strange, but I was thinking maybe this place leaves the box, but takes the soap out? But then I saw the water stain indicating the soap has been used. Then I saw the disheveled tissue paper and the toilet paper that ran down to a very full bin. The small towel wasn't folded nicely and worst part of it was there were remnants in the toilet. I thought maybe, I am tripping, and thought maybe the toilet has chips or damaged to it, but when I flushed to see if it would disappear - it did.
I felt gross, because I have OCD and I am a germaphobe. I went down and Maria was there and I told her about the room situation and her response was as though it's just another day here at Omni. She only said I can changed the room for you to the same floor, but I said I have a fridge and I read not all the rooms have fridge, so I was thinking it will become such a thing to move the fridge to another room. Again, very strange when hotel rooms doesn't have fridge! I said, it's fine since I forgot to bring sanitizing wipes and I was planning to go out to get some to clean the room. Maria said, she will get someone to clean the room for me. Then I asked her if she has a USB-C charger, since that's the other thing I forgot to bring, she said go to concierge and the guy with the short white hair said they have them, but they sell them. I really don't want to buy another USB-C, because I have so many of them and don't want to buy another one. He said, he would lend it, but unfortunately, he didn't bring his that day - which I will commend him for offering, because Maria could care less to do anything to help me. Not even for a few hours just to solve my dead tech.
I went out to roam around with L and decided on DTF and got back to the hotel around 9 pm.
Came back, saw the soap, towel, tissue, toilet paper, and bin were left exactly the way I checked in. I was LIVID - no one came up to clean the room and again, it really made me feel gross, because I am like has anything been cleaned? I started inspecting and the floor mat towel that was folded at some weird thing on it.
I went back down and it was younger African lady with glasses, I said someone with red glasses was here earlier and she said she was going to get my room cleaned. No one knew who this person was and she got the manager, Sandra and no one knew who and I said someone who has long straight hair was here around 4 checking me in. Sandra said, it was Maria and she excused her by saying she must have been really busy and forgot! Seriously, she wasn't busy and even if she was - we're talking about them GIVING ME A DIRTY AF ROOM! That chick, Maria should have ran up and cleaned it herself, because that is seriously ridiculous. I have been gone for over 4 hours and to come back so late, since I brought my god-daughter with me and we're tired. Like WTF. Sandra apologized and switched my room for me and called someone at the very moment to make sure the new room has been cleaned. She asked if there was anything else, I brought up the USB-C, since I did end up buying another one at Apple, but chick gave me the wrong one! Sandra went and looked and voila - she lend me one. Hallelujah! But now, why couldn't Maria just offered this or do anything remotely helpful besides acting as though I am bothering her? Was it too much to ask for me to get a cleaned room? Is it because I won a night here, so they are punishing me to make me do more than what it is worth? Maria is ZERO stars - the worst front desk person in the world. When I checked out, Maria was there, she never apologized. I asked for Sandra, since I brought back the USB-C, and Maria said she'll tell Sandra. That was it - like why couldn't she be more helpful or even friendlier? MARIA is USELESS! Why is she working in front desk? But at least pillows and bed were good here.
