Our entire apartment building flooded from a burst sprinkler pipe, we stayed here for a couple…read morenights while trying to navigate the chaos of what was going on with our apartment and the building. The hotel is older, rundown when compared to the Hampton Inn in Manchester. We changed rooms three times the first day - heater wasn't working properly in the first room and the night stand fell off the wall in the second. Dark mold was everywhere in the shower and was gross. My boyfriend and I initially booked for one night and decided to add on a night to our reservation since it wasn't looking like we could return to our apartment. I notified the evening front desk of our plan to add on a night to our reservation. He was very nice, wore a Carhartt hat and informed me that we wouldn't have to check out since it'll be added on to our current reservation but would need to stop by the front desk at some time the next day to get updated key cards. Since I was the person who booked the hotel, I asked if they would be able to give the updated room cards to my boyfriend who gets out of work several hours before I do. He wrote my boyfriends name who is staying with me and said it shouldn't be a problem. Fast forward the next day, my boyfriend was denied entry into our room. Jay, who was present for the conversation I had at the front desk with the other hotel staff the night before, said since he did not book the room, he cannot give my boyfriend the key to the room where all our belongings are. My boyfriend's name was on the hotel reservation, I called the hotel, spoke with Jay, and informed him this has been settled the night before. I am a registered nurse and work long hours, my boyfriend would've been sitting in the lobby for 3.5 hours until I got out of work. Even so, denied entry to a room we paid for with all our stuff still in the room. Jay told me we were supposed to check out that morning and recheck back in the next day and that I needed to be present to receive the key cards. All of this opposite of what I was told and confirmed last night. He requested I fill out an authorization form, to be emailed to me, with my credit card number for incidentals. This took away from my work. After our two night stay, we still needed hotel accommodations, we checked out and spent several nights at the Hampton Inn in Manchester, it ended up being much nicer.

I've had an interaction with him almost every day I've stayed here and he's been nothing but warm, attentive, inviting, everything you could possibly want and need from someone working in hospitality. This was also one of the nicest Double Trees I've stayed at. Ever. 10/10. Would recommend staying here, especially for corporate stays. Some negatives: the bar is not great (my margarita was a terrible premade mix and I was charged $16... with a table salt rim) and the breakfast buffet should come included. $18 - $20 was astronomical for what we got. I had nicer, free breakfasts at embassy suites and other budget hotels. Also if you have a conjoining room, you will hear other people. But people were considerate when I was here. Made this post mainly to highlight Christian. Really was in awe of how good he was at his job.

The lounge stayed equipped with snacks 24/7. Breakfast was available from 7am. The pictures I looked at showed a jacuzzi, so I was expecting one but all they had was a pool. Pool is spacious and heated. The gym area was quick spacious with number treadmills, bikes, and elipicals available for use. The parking lot was $15 and on the cheaper side for Hilton parking prices which allowed in/out access.

How cool is that? We would love to see a game here and party in the room. Below us was a deck to take out food and drinks and watch the game. Now upstairs, our room was nice with blackout curtains which we like. The bathroom was good size. Everything was clean. We did tell the front desk person that the bottle of shampoo was nearly empty. During our down time we played cards at a large round table in the back room off the deck. We saw a good sized conference room with a large screen and plug-ins at the tables. Would recommend it. We had two good breakfasts in the dining area. As Hilton Honor guests we used our $20 credit for candy bars. There was a large selection of snacks to choose from, and bottled drinks. We even watched a football game in the lobby with other guests. This hotel has a large parking lot, and is in a good location. There is a shuttle for getting around.

Always a smile and good morning from people at the front desk. I needed an ice pack to be frozen every night they put it in their freezer no questions asked. If there aren't any games or if you want to save a few bucks get a room with city view instead of the ballfield. You can go out on their patio and eat and drink and watch the game from the comfort of your hotel. I've stayed here several times and I would take this hotel over the doubletree downtown in a heartbeat. Only good thing about doubletree is you can walk to pretty much anything downtown. Your choice.

The place was fully booked though I reserved my room in early Oct '24. The rates for a basic king size room were okay. One of the elevators was on the fritz so we decided to take the stairs to the 5th floor instead of waiting / cramming with a bunch of other people. Disappointing that there was only (1) trash can in the bathroom, the fridge didn't work well (no capability of changing the temperature with the fridge model). The room was clean, comfortable mattress & a large wall-mounted TV. The staff at the counter were friendly. All around the counter are beverages & snacks that you can purchase directly or add to your room's bill. Love that they have wall-mounted soap, lotion, shampoo & conditioner - I find it far more efficient than the small bottles or individually wrapped bars of soap that dry out your skin. We feared that it would be noisy but amazingly enough it wasn't, though we were in room 518, directly located across from the elevators. We used the Hilton Honors app to choose room 401 (in a corner) with a digital key but somehow that fell through. We dealt with it. I agree with a fellow reviewer that the room is compact in size, but for us, decent enough to crash instead of going home an hour away after a late night.
