I bought a Groupon for a Swedish massage with Kathleen, but I was really curious about reiki and I…read morehad an "ulterior motive" of finding out more about it and why it's so expensive. First off, the place she works out of is really cute. She's in an old building in Orangevale and you have to take your shoes off before you enter. It's so peaceful inside that I could literally feel my energy junking things up. I guess that's a good thing though! I've done lots of groupons, but the problem is that even during massages I can't relax, and I never really find a good reason to go back. Kathleen paid attention to my shoulders like everyone does, and it hurt like it always does, but for some reason the room and the oils just helped my mind wander. I was shocked by how refreshed I felt afterward--very unusual for me! Needless to say, I'm definitely going back for her raindrop therapy. I'm still curious about reiki, but I think she is trying to ease me into the heavy-duty energy treatments and I'm not going to argue. I can't really comment on her healing powers since I just got a massage, but if the massage was any indication, she really does have something my previous therapists didn't.

What a wonderful session I had last week with Kathleen! I am familiar with energy and chakra work…read moreso I did have some expectations. Kathleen did not disappoint. Entering her space, I could feel the calming energy greet me at the door. Lying on the table, Kathleen went to work, first using essential oils on various spots on my body then working on getting the blocked energy unstuck. I could feel the energy start moving almost immediately. Towards the end of the session, she used tuning forks and the sound produced resonated with me at a soul level. I felt such joy running through my body! We closed with an intuitive reading. I highly recommend booking a session with Kathleen. She is truly gifted!

Fairfield's stone, crystal, and gem dealer! This is a cool…read moreshop right on the Fairfield town square! It's a neat Native American store with lots of stuff from lots of tribes across the Midwest and Southwest. I'm originally from New Mexico, so I could recognize a lot of the Navajo and Hopi designs that they had around the store. They carried a lot of drums, dream catchers, and other tribal goods. When I went, there was a guy shopping for drums, and I was impressed to see their selection of tribal drums that they had to offer the guy! The offer lots in the way of stones. The shop has even made little placards that explain the healing powers of each stone. If you have certain maladies, you can get a crystal to put on your chakras to alleviate the problem. The selection is amazing. Whatever your problem is, they have a beautiful stone to cure it. Even if you're not into the stones as a healing mindset, it's still a really cool rock shop with beautiful specimens of lots of wonderful stones at quite reasonable prices, and so what if they'll also cure your migraines! They also have incense, smudges, and herbs. Parking can be a bit challenging, since it's right on the busy square. They have a friendly little dog that'll greet you at the door, he's cute!

I was blessed to meet Ed and Judi Fox and their "little girls" Heyoka and Tate last year. The love,…read moreintegrity and knowledge they possess on Native American lineage makes me want to sit at their feet and listen to the Lakota history explained by their storytelling skills for hours at a time. Plus there is no place better to receive love, hugs and lickies than from the two "little girls." Every time I enter the store I find "gems" for my heart and soul. Don't just go in to browse; go in to be regaled with the past, present and future of a culture. In case you can't tell. I love this family. Shellagh
