Barber - Sandra R Paid for Gotta Unwind service and went from full beard to goatee. I prefer to relax and keep my eyes closed once the neck cover is put on. Haircut was simple and done great. Shave was even better...hot towel to begin then trimming before the shave. A straight razor was used with cooling sensation from products applied to skin. Really great attention to detail...lined up the sides and neck portion of goatee plus the gaps near bottom lip. Cool water shampoo and finished appointment. Well worth it. Definitely recommend and will seek out Sandra again for next visit. read more

Brought my son here and after many terrible or okay-ish hair cuts, we found a barber shop that knew exactly how to meet my son's haircut requests. It's legit and there were grown men getting cuts as well, so if you take your kid they should be either old enough or well behaved enough to conduct themselves respectfully. Highly recommend- great fade, cut as requested, styled perfectly and service was prompt and responsive. read more

Easy appointment process and friendly staff. Will definitely return. Chill vibe in store,

We love this place! My husband has been going here for years and I started going here as my hair has been growing back after it fell out. It is really hard to find folks who can deal with short women's hair. Even though they are a barber they have been most most welcoming and awesome about getting my hair through all the awful phases from bald, qtip, spiky, etc. The atmosphere is fun and laid back. I also really enjoy the dads bringing in their sons for haircuts to look like mini me's. Ladies, don't be afraid to come in with the kids. Lots of other moms in here for sure. The owner is pretty fabulous as well read more

As always Jenni is just wonderful at getting my haircut perfect every time. The Good Barber Shop has a good atmosphere and all the staff seems wonderful and friendly. Highly recommend Both Jenni and the Good Barber. read more

Don't recommend. Thought it was an experience barber shop. It's just super cuts specifically for guys. Both boys got cuts that are not great. Had to fix both once we got home. Guess you get what you pay for. read more

This barber shop is much more than that. Every time I come either to bring my father for a cut and a hot towel shave, or my son for a much needed cut and style, I always leave feeling like I have received true customer service. These two very important men in my life also feel special and much more confident when they walk out of the Good Barber's doors. I have called ahead and asked for special attention for my father on his birthday, and the team there delivered in amazing style. He felt like a million bucks when he left there. It was such a great experience that when my mother was losing her hair to chemo, I called and asked if we could come in to have the rest of her hair shaved. She was cared for and when she left, she was contented and we felt well cared for. The Good Barber truly listens to the requests of its clients and then pushes the bar to make the over all experience the best possible for them. This is a top quality shop with a top quality team. The owners are phenomenally nice people who clearly push to make their business the best it can possibly be. Glad to have found this establ read more

Might as well go to super cuts or fantastic sams,I had to get another hair cut after I cut my hair here ...this place used to be good

I've been going to the good barber and seeing Jenni for a while now and she always gets my hair the way I want an like it! She even cuts to my double cowlick I got goin in the back well that so many other barbers have messed up before. Always inviting and the free refreshments make getting cut by Jen a great time and clean up read more

Great service with Jenni. Been with her for almost 10 years. Her attention to detail and great quality cut brings me back. Cheers Jenni!

Nicole G. has been cutting my hair now for the past 6 months (I like to wait a little instead of just evaluating a single cut.) She freaking rocks!!!! Every single cut has been perfect and exactly what I wanted. She is friendly, upbeat and intelligent. You would be doing yourself a favor getting a hair cut from her. read more

I brought my daughter into The Good Barber as one of her old hair stylist (Gina) works their. My daughter got a trim and some highlights done. I don't really know much about highlights but she looked great when Gina finished with her. Gina is always does a great job with the wife and daughter and they won't got to anyone else. As for The Good Barber in general... I didn't need a haircut this time around, but after visiting, I think I may have to get my hair cut here next time. Its a very clean and orderly barber shop, the staff is very friendly. As I was there a man came in for a haircut. And like any traditional barber shop, one of the staff offered him water or beer. BEER.. yes that right... this isn't the first traditional shop I have been to and I am glad to see they offer you a beer while you get your hair cut. The staff made small talk with the gentleman and made him feel at home... YUP... that beer alone just put The Good Barber to the tope of my list. So gentlemen, if you ever need a hair cut and/or a shave, schedule your wife, daughter or girlfriend with Gina... then sit back in the very comfortable barber chair and enjoy an ICE COLD BREW while you get pamperd. You will not be disappointed. read more

The Good Barber - Very clean and professional appearance - Barbers Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

One of the best Hair Experience I have ever had, not just a good haircut, but shave, hot towel treatment, shampoo. Styled my hair, took her time and get a drink when you sit. Will def go back to this location and recommend to all my friends and family. Michael read more

I went once years ago while visiting the area. It was great. I've been looking for a barber after moving back and thought I'd give it a shot. I was a walk-in. There was 1 other customer getting a haircut. I counted 4 other staff wandering around but they let me sit for 20 min anyway. Finally, reluctantly, one of them took me. The fade was good but the top came out all uneven. Noticeably longer in some areas and shorter in others. Then she rang me up for the upcharge. I just got a haircut. I realized later she charged me for haircut and a massage. So a $22 haircut became a $32 haircut. Which I ended up having to have fixed elsewhere. Waste of time. read more

Nicole is amazing at haircuts! A true barber, stop wasting your money anywhere else! I even got the "nice haircut " thumbs up from the wife! read more

Use to come here all the time. Prices have gone up and quality has gone down. You're paying Stone Oak prices for a mediocre cut.

The Good Barber should be called the Best Barber! This place is fantastic. Jasmine is awesome and from what I can see so are the other stylists. They're thorough and do a great job. We got just what we asked for. With everything going on they are doing doing their best to sanitize and ensure safety. For the sake of the employees and customers use your mask. It's for everyone's benefit. They were very efficient, patient and great service. read more

Jenni is our girl! Been with her for 7+ years. Where ever she goes, we follow! Highly recommended.

The service was ok My boyfriends barber didn't listen after we both nicely tolls her to leave length on the top we have a quinceañera we are attending. She cut it way to short. And throughout the whole haircut she didn't not once speak to us or ask my boyfriend how he wanted the hair. This is the second time I go and the second time they don't listen and leave unsatisfied. read more

I'm surprised by the 3* rating because I think they are 5*. Once you sign in they offer you the standard beer or water like most barber shops in Texas. Next up, all the ladies that work here do great, including the one guy that is on staff. I have to say though GINA is the best. I'll wait an hour to make it to furthest chair in the back. I do a full cut and beard trim and it's always $25. This is higher than I'm used to paying in Denver but it's still the best price I've found in Stone Oak. I went to another place, won't name names but thing of the guy who fits bulls, it was $50.00. Another shop, named after the fuel that goes into your car that isn't gasoline. Same service. $45. So, TGB is a bargain at $25.00. This place can get busy, and I think they will schedule appointments but you will need to do the full service. I can ask. Overall, any of the folks here will do a great job, I just like going to Gina because she knows what I want and I don't have to explain it. If I wanted to be anti-social and never talk, it wouldn't hurt her feelings and would just roll with it. read more

I started going to The Good Barber over 4 years ago and I love it here! Everyone is so friendly and you can expect great service with the results you want, come check it out! Ask for Yvette and I promise you won't regret it read more

Asked for a haircut and a shave. It felt like 45 minutes of aggression as she pulled and yanked. Eventually I left, neck and face red, hurting, and, ironically, the hair on my head barely touched. No actual length was taken off my beard despite my request as well. She didn't ask if I wanted product which I clearly do use and for that price point, there isn't a shampoo? Light massage? Something? read more

For great service and an even better haircut ask for Jenni!! She is wonderful and will surely have you coming back next time!

I have been there twice. Both times they messed up a fade. The line is clearly showing in the back. I went with different people each time. I had to point out a clear line on the side on my second visit but when I got home I found the back was still bad. If you need a fade, I recommend going somewhere else. read more

I scheduled an appointment here when looking for a good beard trim and left very pleased. Staff was very accommodating and friendly and the shave was probably the best I've received from a barber shop at a great price. I'll definitely continue coming here. read more

I'd like to write them negative stars if I could. My experience there today was a total disappointment I went in for a beard trim. I was looking for a particular shape to be made out of my beard that I had been growing out for two weeks. I showed The barber pictures of what I wanted I reviewed the pictures with him I pointed out details of the style I want it. Now it's no wonder why they had a towel draped across my eyes the whole time. Because she did not give me what I wanted she didn't follow directions she didn't cut it to the style that I wanted. I will never go back there again and I don't think anybody else should either. How can you have a picture of present it to you agreed to do it say that you can't do it and then you just don't do it stupid. read more

My son and I had great haircuts with almost no wait. It was clean and the stylists were fabulous.

I just had the best haircut and beard trim ever. Kat was amazing and has "magic hands". I explained how I wanted my beard tapered and trimmed and she did not disappoint. She did not rush and her attention to detail was on point! THANK YOU Kat! read more

Good experience with a trim and shave and looking forward to returning... I walked in for a quick clean up and took my chances with the first available barber. Sandra did a good job and took her time to make sure to provide quality work. For the shave they used hot towels, good lather and a good moisturizer. Over all I am satisfied with the shave and trim and will update Yelp as I get a more extensive haircut but for now I am happy to recommend this barber and Sandra. read more

I don't know how someone could mistake, i want a fade to shave the side of my head.. chose your words wisely...

Easily the worst haircut. I have ever received in my life. Cut me up on my ears and side of head.

This is a great place to get a hair cut. The shop has a good vibe to it and feels very comfortable. I have got my hair cut several times by Naomi and she does a fantastic job. I need to find a new barbershop after today. For several years, I have been using TGB on Hardy Oak Parkway as the place to get my hair cut, and they offered me a military discount. Today, the owner said that this discount was only for active duty. I told her that Valero, Taco Cabana and LaPeep give me a discount without the qualification of active duty. I asked her how she thought was different as someone like me and others have protected her freedom of speech and other rights. She said she would think about it. Then, she asked me to shake her hand after I raised my voice about her possible change of policy. And to that, I responded "Why should I shake your hand?" read more

I've been working at The Good Barber since August 2020. I can honestly say that I'm the happiest I have ever been at a work place.
