Do not waste your time and money working with them. I am sharing my real experience with the Gonzalez Law Group to help others make a more informed decision when hiring a lawyer. This firm has proven to be incredibly unprofessional and shows no genuine care for their clients. The service they "provide" is without a doubt horrible. The attorney assigned to my case (Chloe Martinez) was unresponsive, often taking four weeks or more to reply to emails. When I tried to address these issues and terminate my agreement with them and ask for a full refund of all my payments made to them given that after +6 months they did no work towards my case, the department supervisor, who is supposed to help resolve client disputes, was equally dismissive and unhelpful and unresponsive. They don't pay attention to critical details in cases, which is unacceptable for something as serious requiring legal assistance. Their lack of diligence causes immense stress as they keep you in the dark with regards to any progress to your case. Despite charging me a significant amount of money, they refuse to refund UNEARNED fees for services that were never provided. When I asked them to provide proof of how the money was spent on my case, they failed to do so. Instead, they are making the entire process of disputing this frustrating and exhausting. It's clear they are holding onto unearned fees without justification, which is unethical and unprofessional. This law firm does not prioritize its clients or their cases. They are unresponsive, inattentive to crucial details, and unethical in retaining fees for work that was never done. If you want lawyers who are responsive, professional, and trustworthy, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. I don't recommend at all! Don't waste your time! Or maybe you'll have better luck than I did. I was in a car accident May 9th 2024 and I called them immediately to help me with my problem. They agreed to take my case and I spoke with a Mr. Dunlap. I was sent documents to sign off on. It was the weekend so I waited to see if a paralegal would reach out to me the following Monday. Didn't hear anything, so I reached out to them and come to find out some of the documents were sent to my spam folder. They sent me documents again and I assume this is why they didn't reach out to me because they were missing signed documents. Either way, you would think that if this was the reason they would call to ask about the other missing documents. The person I was dealing with at that moment was Litzy. Sweet girl. But the girls this firm hires seem very inexperienced and lack empathy and urgency. It took about a week for them to gather the documentation and from what I understood after two weeks into my case and checking status that a letter of representation was sent to the insurance company on May 15. At the same time I'm also asking why have I not heard from anyone to schedule physical therapy. We are now almost three weeks in and no one reaches out to you. No urgency to get you therapy. When you call, someone is either at lunch, not there and then you have to explain your situation to someone new while your in pain and when they say they will follow up with adjuster they don't call you back to let you know what was done with the follow up. The two paralegals that I spoke to were Shelli and Yennifer. The last time I heard from them was May 28th. I reached out to them again on Monday, June 3rd and was told they would follow up in an email to the adjuster and that they the law firm would be in a meeting all day. Setting the expectation that you more than likely won't hear from them again that day. This call was my confirmation that there wasn't really no sense of urgency to help me. That there was no empathy to understand the amount of pain I was in or show that they even cared. Seems these ladies are being overwhelmed with work so much that they aren't being given the time to give the right enough care towards clients. I blame management for their lack of communication and more importantly lack of care for their clients. I immediately reached out to a new law firm. Explained my situation with car accident and this law firm and I kid you not the paralegal/case manager that I was assigned to reached out to me as soon as she received my information and she even got me physical therapy within 2 hours of speaking to me. Something this law firm couldn't do in almost a month! I fired this group and sent them the letter of termination and as of yet I still have not heard from them. Some may have better experience with this law firm. I tried to show support for those that are part of your culture to look out for them and help with referrals but seems like they don't put that same effort in their own. It's disappointing. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND ESPECIALLY YOUR MONEY!!!!! I filed child support on myself in 2022, the case was dismissed after an attorney was hired by my ex and the proper channels were not taken. I tried to fight for my children on my own but quickly realized that the corrupt court system we have, that was impossible. I hired this firm in middle of March 2024, I expressed my concerns about the opposing counsel trying to use a Mediation agreement from the dismissed case. I don't know the law which is why I hired this law firm. It was said to me that they will handle everything. Well after several court resets from the opposing counsel, I was told by my attorney after 4 months and over $5,000 that we need to go to mediation. At this point I was irritated since my children were still being denied to me. The incompetence of this law firm is out of this world. Why did it take from March to July to tell me we have to go to mediation? After this I had had enough!!! August 10th, I terminated services with them. I was told the last invoice will be taken care of by my $3500 retainer. After several weeks and messages left without a call back; On 9/20/2024, I had to go in person to speak to someone. I was told that they have not been taken off my case yet, waiting on the A.G. to sign off on that. So that tells me that my retainer will be $0 by the time everything is over. I went to mediation alone without counsel and won, I now have my children again after 3 1/2 years. Over $8,000 that this law firm has taken from me for what, what did they actually do to help me get possession of my children. It is a disgrace to treat people like this, especially a Veteran!!! ***BUYER BEWARE!!!!*** They asked for my "Review" so here it is & maybe it was just my luck. I can only say that this was not the best experience when it comes down to dealing with a law firm. The staff was very polite, courteous & seemed professional enough, But they will keep their hands in your pocket, not to mention what seemed like a lack of or limited knowledge!! I kept feeling the sense of being "Over Billed" even though I stressed, on day one, that I wanted to keep things extremely simple, with as little communication as possibly needed, for the sake of minimizing my billing. I noticed that they billed me for absolutely EVERYTHING! If they looked something up online-CHARGE, if they moved my folder from the blue folder to the yellow folder-CHARGE, if they called & left a message-CHARGE, creating a witness list, when there's no witnesses to the hearing but my ex wife & I, $100 charge, if my attorney orders coffee while on the way back to the parking lot after the hearing-CHARGE-CHARGE-&-CHARGE. They even billed me, every month, for "verifying" that they were billing me correctly! Never saw that before for sure. I thank God I didn't let them handle my divorce! I would have had to move into my car or beg my ex wife to take me back! Gheeeze!! & all I had was an enforcement hearing concerning the divorce decree that my ex was, abundantly clear, in violating. I say all this to say, scrutinize EVERY invoice you receive and question ANY charges that doesn't feel right. Mind you, they can bill for as much time (Creative billing), on any particular item, as they want as long as it's not apparently gross to the point of you noticing it. I called to enquire about my billing a few times, only to be told that they will check into it & call me back shortly but never receive the call. On my "Final" bill, never received the final invoice though, was billed nearly $300 additional dollars. Without the invoice I had no way of knowing what the charge was for. I called, once again, to inquire and was told that someone would call me back, once the young lady I was speaking with couldn't figure it out. No one returned my call after a week. So I called back and was connected to this obnoxious para legal. He tells me that the additional charge was for the "closing" of my case. So, for the nearly $7000 in attorney fees I was suing my Ex for, my defense managed to only include $4000, leaving the rest on the table buy charging me nearly $3000 more after the fact. Either neglect, incapable, or incompetent. You decide... Final point, if they're going to bill you like they're top tier, they need to represent like they're top tier. You want top tier results for those top tier charges. PERIOD!!! read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS LAW FIRM, go elsewhere! Also, they are claiming any negative review is not a client found in their system. I first hired this firm a year ago, they advised me not to file or prepare an important document that was needed to be filed and told me to wait for any next steps. I didn't hear anything from them for the remaining time, even as myself and my wife would call to confirm and check in. A year later, DAYS before court, they informed us they needed this document done and we're asking for even more money after we paid the agreed contract balance! Unfortunately, while we were waiting nothing was done on my case. I gave them all the documents they requested and we paid the FILING FEE as requested two months before my court appearance. Only to find out in the office days before court, they still didn't file anything! Even though we paid them the filing fee and confirmed they had everything they needed at that time. Because of this, it's led to a delayed process in my immigration case. There have been multiple miscommunications, almost every time I make an appointment with this office, no one can find me on the schedule when I arrive, and I end up having to wait around an hour or hope to get squeezed in. After we informed them of termination, they refused to listen and kept calling both my wife and I when we stated in the written termination letter not to call anymore. We were also never informed that our original attorney we met had left the office and we were to be appointed with someone new. Nor did they mention it during the exchanges through out the year. The new attorney was not updated or familiar, let alone prepared at all in regards to my case yet he was supposed to represent me in court days after my wife only just met him. He also came up with new proposed plans and demanded we decide 48 hours before my court appearance. I never met the new attorney myself. This is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. After we informed them of termination they refused to honor our wishes and said we had no other option and then demanded we send them documents that we already filed with them, 24 HOURS before court! These documents were collected and as I mentioned, we paid the filing fee two months before my court appearance for the attorney to say he never received them. Even after we said they were terminated! So I am to appear before court, entrusting a law firm who never filed the application regardless of them confirming they did and us paying the filing fees and Im still dealing with their extortion! DO NOT USE THIS FIRM! They lie and extort you, they're unprofessional and will not prepare for your case. I am expecting a full refund as they did nothing with our services! read more

You be the judge of whether or not they are good lawyers- I have proof of invoices that were constantly being sent to me with fraudulent charges. When this was brought to their attention, they acknowledged but continously sent more and more invoices. My case was handled during covid, which I was told by the law firm there wasnt much they could do but it didnt stop the invoices from coming in. They had multiple people working on my case and were often not informed on what needed to be done. I also had a difficult time getting a response from my Lawyer Christina Gardner (I also have multiple emails where she acknowledged this) after thousands of dollars and two years my case was not resolved and they reported me to the credit beaurau for 7k which is ridiculous that isnt even the cost of a simple divorce let alone one I had already paid thousands of dollars for. Overall they dont care about you as I found out by many other people that were robbed of their money by this lawfirm. Its sad because as a single parent whos never received a dollar of childsupport with three kids that they would take advantage is just terrrible. They know they did wrong! I am a person of many questions, and every time I had one they were there to answser. It might have taken them a while, but I would get a returned call. Our case started back in 2016 and finalized 2022. Keep in mind this is an immigration adjustment of status, so it does take a while. Not the usual like now, but because of the pandemic it got rudely interrupted. Everything ran smooth with the I-130 then we got my husband's I-601 A approved which is the "perdon". With that document they did make us go to a psychologist, but that step helped a lot. Now Feb, 2022 my husband has an approved residency for the United States. I've learned so much along the way, because you do have to keep on top of your case, you're not the only one. This law firm is horrible! We had a lawyer that we liked and signed a contract with and then she abruptly left the firm with no explanation from anyone. I had to re-explain our case to different people multiple times as they CHARGED ME BY THE MINUTE! They have screwed up everything, went way over our original agreed price and now they won't return phone calls or emails. This has been the worse experience I could ever imagine and I hope to save someone else from making the same mistake. Now we will have to spend another 5K to get another attorney. They really haven't done anything and we've already paid them almost 4k. Completely horrible experience. We've tried emailing them and some of the email don't even work. If I could give this law firm zero stars I would. As the other reviewer said, this law firm is horrible. I signed with Maria Holmes who left without any notice to me and my case was taken over by another lawyer, Bruce Buskirk. My previous lawyer left and the firm did not notice me about this change until a day before we met in court. Although this was a huge shock to me, I still retained faith in the process as I still had invested a lot of money into this firm and this was my first time dealing with a law firm. When we had to re-explain the details of the case to the new lawyer, Mr. Buskirk we were charged by the minute. My ex-husband hid money and purposely extended court dates without any objections from my own lawyer. Mr. Buskirk insisted that he would be a good replacement with the many years of experience he had. There were multiple issues of where there were zero communications and I was not assisted at ALL throughout the case. Enough was enough, this firm had not helped me at all and I suspected was doing no work as they would not have several documents I requested when I would email them. I hired another lawyer, Mrs. Ashley Green at another firm for even more money. The difference between the lawyers was night and day, my new lawyer always had me updated, informed, and guided me through every process of filling out the documents. My previous ordeal with the Gonzalez law group left me uncertain about the case but this lawyer outlined the case so thoroughly that I felt much more secure than I ever did with the Gonzalez group.I could tell that she was genuinely interested in my case instead of blowing me off multiple times as this firm did and tried to reach a fair deal between me and my ex. However, the damage had been done and I found out that the Gonzalez law firm had not appealed or submitted multiple documents that needed to be submitted. This confirmed my suspicion that they were sending me huge invoices with little work. The case was salvaged by my lawyer at the new firm but I received much less payout than I should have because of this firm. I have wasted thousands and over a year on the Gonzalez firm and If I had read a similar reviewer complaining about the EXACT same issues I had faced since 2018 I would have never hired this firm.
