Due to weird timing we had to have our kids at different daycares in the area (Adora and Kiddie Academy) and wasn't the best place for our kids. Ended up having an opening and we got both kids in and love Goddard. The staff is sweeter, genuine, and works with the kids better than anywhere else we've been. Goddard School has been the best choice for my family and I. I was referred to TGS by a coworker 6 years ago when I was pregnant. I immediately jumped at the chance to join the waitlist and haven't looked back since. When it snows and Greenville is seemingly shutting down, TGS stays open. This especially matters for those parents who don't have the option to stay home. Goddard cares more about their families and teachers than dollars. Every teacher knows your child's name regardless if they're the assigned teacher. Students leave learning something wondrous every day, and they also leave feeling loved and have a since of belonging. At Goddard, you're a part of a family. Thanks for this jump start to a lifetime of learning. This school has an effective approach to homework. Homework is beyond sending worksheets home, but instead, teachers implement a hands-on, interactive approach to learning. The curriculum and teachers encourage practical applications of learning while having fun. It's nice to have conversations with my child about ignite critical thinking without being a drill sergeant. Teachers at this school are effective. Teachers are all educated and have a previous, developed early childhood experience. They are not glorified babysitters. More recently, in light of COVID, the owners and staff at TGS executed an effectively solid plan to continue fun while learning and while keeping the children safe. It's not a racial friendly environment they are very good at covering it up by hiring certain types just for looks and I noticed the main Director tend to use her Christianity to cover her true self and for that reason we decided to go to a different location. Many might not like this review but as a physiologist I read people very well. As for the facility, it's nice. read more

When we were looking for a school for our son, we checked out a few but none really impressed us that much. Our criteria going into the search: good impression from watching the teachers interact with the children, play based learning environment, rooms are clean and don't feel too dated, and NAEYC certified. At one point, I thought we would have to sacrifice some of our criteria, but luckily, we found the Goddard School! It met all of our expectations and we are very happy that we sent our son here. The first day was tough when he got upset that we were leaving him - I broke down in the car too. But, the teachers did a great job and he was fine after that first week. I really liked how you get daily updates and the teachers were always willing to answer any questions we had about his development. I can say, without a doubt, that Goddard greatly improved my son's ability to interact with others - specifically sharing and cooperating. Unfortunately, we are moving out of the area so we are unable to keep our son here. I hope we can find a school on the same level as Goddard in our new home. read more

I can't sing enough praises of the staff, administrators, and owners of Goddard. The owners personally flexed their schedule to give us a tour while we were driving through town, and the staff have been absolutely amazing with our two boys. We can definitely tell a difference from having our first in an in-home daycare his first year and having our second at Goddard since 8 weeks of age. read more

Where do I begin? The first moment of walking in the school and you automatically feel how wonderful this school is. From the front staff to the teachers, you know that they are truly happy! Teacher turnover is low, which is very rare with preschools. My son started in August and is thriving so quickly. He does not scream or cry at drop off, which speaks volumes. They send photos to your email in the morning of what your child is learning that day and you also get a daily report emailed to you after pickup. They are very secure with who pickups your child as well. My husband and I could have easily chosen another school but we did not want to settle for our son. It's a bit more expensive than what's around the area but you get what you pay for. The teachers are loving and caring. We are very happy with our decision! read more

Amazing school! The quality of this preschool program is far beyond anything else in the area. The office staff and classroom teachers are warm, friendly, welcoming, and well educated in early childhood education. They enjoy what they do and it is evident in the care they provide to the children. The curriculum offers a good mix of academics, social emotional instruction, and child directed play. The environment is child friendly and always clean. Both of our sons attended this school from a young age ( 9 weeks). We were at this center for several years and our sons grew tremendously during this time. It was with great sadness that we left this school when our family moved out of the state. They have since attended other programs near our new home, none of which come close to the experience we enjoyed at The Goddard School of Simpsonville. read more

Amazing school, and we've been to 5. Fantastic teachers. Great learning experience for our two kids. Would recommend them to any one.

We were incredibly unhappy. The little time our son stayed at their toddler class, he learnt the words jail, death and killing.

I am SHOCKED to see a negative review about The Goddard School. I have two children there and the growth and development I've seen in them keeps me recommending the school to anyone and everyone. My oldest was shy and reserved and wouldn't take chances or take steps away from us. Now, it is an entirely different world seeing her independence, grace, intelligence, and curiosity. We have not had any concerns with teachers or negative influences. When we have had an issue (question, billing, etc), it is promptly resolved with a smile. I would recommend Goddard to anyone and everyone. read more
