The principals here literally bent over backwards to get my daughter into the school. They offered a promotional rate for several months as well as no enrollment fee and made some adjustments to make room for her in the class. We are beyond impressed with their caring and the education she is receiving. It is so clean and our child is so happy. We look forward to having our older daughter start camp here this summer as well. Thank you so much for being so great!!

My older daughter is now 4 and my younger daughter is 2 and they are still there and thriving. The teachers here are outstanding. And there's been very little teacher turnover (my 2 yr old has had the same teachers that my 4 yo had). They are caring, attentive, nurturing and know the smallest details about your child...it shows the level of care and attention that is paid to the children. My girls have also learned so much here. They have a solid "curriculum" for each of the classrooms. My 4 yr old knows all her letters by sight and can write them all. She's starting to write words now too. She can also count in Spanish and knows her colors and other random Spanish words. I researched daycare centers high and low prior to selecting Chesterbrook. They have exceeded my sky high expectations. I couldn't recommend them more.

I honestly cannot believe what our experience has been like with Newtown Friends School. It was…read morerecommended to us by an acquaintance whose children attend there and love it. Small classes, progressive values such as inclusivity and diversity, values that so much seemed to reflect our own. It just so happens that our fourth grader was the victim of a crime over the summer before attending this new school. His behavior was affected by this event and, initially, NFS staff, using their language of partnership and collaboration, provided support that had an immediate positive impact. As they expressed a willingness to collaborate with us so did they decide NOT to actually collaborate. The simple recommendation was to keep the support in place and unchanged for a number of months. For whatever their reason, they chose not to do so. This immediately set our child up for failure as they made changes to the support that was working perfectly. Despite our efforts to collaborate, they simply changed it with no regard to what would work for our son. As a result, he was basically set up for failure. Our bright and motivated 9-year-old boy was never in so much trouble as he was at NFS. He was clearly under their critical microscope and their lack of understanding, empathy and unwillingness to work with him was both shocking and obvious. We decided that this school was definitely not a match for him or for our family. The values that they tout are good on paper but our experience is that none of them were genuine and there was no caring about our child, family or experience. "Teaching the whole child", and all of their "partnership", was chewed up and spit out along with us. But they made a point of keeping our.overpayment. Please know that NFS collects tuition fully in advance of the school year being complete. So if you invest in this place for your child's education and well-being, be prepared to lose your money if your child is deemed not good enough by those on high in administration. A sad reflection of Quaker values equating to a complete and total lack of empathy, enormous hypocrisy and obvious greed.

Very sad that people working for this company who do so much for so little pay. On top of it all, it was very hard to take off even with more than a two weeks notice, and very inconvenient and inconsistent with breaks, there were multiple times I was told 5 minutes before my break that it was changed to a later time or that I wouldn't even be receiving one that day. They would also change the schedule on everyone for the next week with out notice, and even though they sent out two weeks of schedules, they would change the second weeks schedule every week, so basically you wouldn't know what your hours were til the Friday before the next week for the upcoming week. Also to mention with all of this being said, even if I were scheduled to leave before close, I NEVER got out on time, and the one acting asistant director told me to let her know when I had things scheduled after my leaving time (knowing that I never got out on time) so she could try to get me out close enough to the time I had something scheduled. Even then there were MULTIPLE times my schedule said 8 to 5 and I had something scheduled at 6 and missed it due to them not allowing me to leave at scheduled time. Which made making appointments very hard since I never got to leave on time and also due to the schedule changed EVERY week. I'm not even going to start sharing how incredibly rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional most of the staff were, if I did, this review would take you a long time to read. I could go on and on but to keep it short and honest, I'll just end with this food for thought...just driving around locally places like McDonald's and Dunkin are offering benefits and 15/hour for a starter position. Luckily I found an assistant teaching job locally that started me at 17 an hour and benefits, and helps with schooling every year. My new place of employment also has consistent break times and rarely changes the schedule on me, and when they do change it on the rare occasion, they notify me in advance and let's me take off when needed. So basically if you want to be treated unfairly and get underpaid, work at kindercare in newtown. Thanks!
