Melissa at Concord Road found this out and did her best to accommodate all the kiddos, how nice is that? My daughter has been attending preschool at Concord Road for just a few months now, and she loves it! The classrooms are very small, only 8 kids in her class. There's lots of staff, resources, and everyone is on top of things. The building and playground are in excellent shape, and my girl is learning so much! Not to mention, tuition is very reasonable. We're so grateful that we've found this gem of a preschool

The…read moreteachers are nothing short of amazing with the kids, many of them former teachers in private and Williamson County schools, and it is visible that they love the children and helping them learn in fun, creative ways. They have tons of active learning and fun activities with visits from the fire department, people who show them how to make apple cider from a press, guest story tellers, Halloween parades and trunk or treat, they have their own pumpkin patch, "friendship feasts" at Thanksgiving, breakfast with Santa, "career dress up days", way too many more to list! They have an annual program where they teach the kids songs and dances and the teacher even handmade their costumes. Then they provided each family a DVD of the whole thing so you don't have to crawl over parents to get a blurry video. My son comes home every single day with creative art work that is cute enough you want to frame it. He has learned his letters and numbers in fun ways like saying them while jumping on a mini trampoline and they spend as much time teaching them how to be good friends and respectful little people as school work. The teachers send home folders daily with specifics on what they did and learned that day and what they plan to do that week with reminders of any upcoming dates (and remind you of anything needed via email also). Communication is top notch, they will even let you know if your child is having a great day by texting a photo or if they had a hard morning, they will text you when they are all good (usually about 5 min after you leave!) From pick up and drop off to the order of the day it is a fine tuned machine. I was amazed today at the parade of how all the kids line up, use manners, and look so happy to be there. The classes are small (usually 4-6 kids) so they have lots of one on one attention and little friends they get to know and play with. It's really a special place for your little one to grow and learn and everything I ever hoped for in a preschool and a hundred times more. The tuition is more than affordable, especially for the attention and learning and genuinely caring teachers the kids get each day they are there. There are some great preschool programs in the area, but this place is one of a kind.

I put my baby's name on their toddler wait list one year before the semester starts, and they told me they will finalize the list for the fall semester around February, and they promised to send me an email as soon as they finish the process. But they never send me any emails. So from February to May, we called them numerous times(all goes directly to the mailbox) and never call back. Finally we received a rejection letter from them( send it to my old address) in May. I wrote an follow-up email a week ago, did not hear from them as usual. I know daycare here is very hard to get in especially Montessori, but at least respond in a reasonable time. Otherwise, do not post your email address or phone number on your website if you do not want parents to bother.

We are so fortunate to be able to spend five fabulous years there. We have had two neighbors join the school after hearing me rave about it. The community CSM has created is so special, full of kindness and love. They instill a joy of learning and a strong foundation of skills that will serve children well into their adulthood. It's not only academics - they build real life skills, grace & courtesy, social & emotional resilience, and care of environment. I attribute my child's love of washing dishes and windows solely to the Montessori works she happily chooses in the classroom. She also has been able to participate in enrichment art, dance, and soccer classes during the school day, which is so convenient for working parents. The guides are well-trained and tenured. They managed to have continuous in-person school throughout the 2020-21 school year because they keep their classrooms and school environment so clean and safe. The before-care is free and the after-care is at a reasonable rate. We only need to use the after-care occasionally and my child begs to be allowed to stay more often. Montessori is all about "follow the child" and she shows me everyday that we made a great choice in joining CSM.

This is our 3rd year our child has been attending Brentwood Montessori Academy. My husband was not…read moreconvinced going into our first year...He said one, maybe two years, but that definitely changed!. The first year, she started to write in cursive...The second year she moved into a new classroom and had several work stations, jobs, and an extra bonus of getting to go to violin class (with only paying a violin rental of $20 a month), and several extra curricular activities that we could add on after school (1 hour extra). Her teachers noticed after a few weeks she was behind on reading a little, and let us know promptly so we could get right on to ramping up her reading...She made a huge turn around! We love this environment of learning. We love that kids are able to be kids, but also learn lots of responsibility and independence. They get to go home and be a kid without loads of homework, although, you can request some learning sheets to be sent home. Now, in our choice to choose Montessori once again, for a 3rd year in 2020, we had a couple important requirements with our choice to go back. We already had an excellent experience so far, but the pandemic and how it was going to be handled at Montessori was key to us continuing. After reading their new policy, we saw that great efforts were made in making the children's environment as normal as possible. This was absolutely critical in us sending our daughter back. They had also placed common sense approaches for keeping kids and staff safe. Because the kids have separate work spaces where they do their individual work, they are already socially distanced. They do temperature checks where my child can be checked with her wrist. They also have hand sanitizing stations (my child is able to bring her organic sanitizer-90% ) and they take the time to keep things extra clean. They have a great system of separating rooms, in case of Covid exposure which really limits the amount of shut downs. This has been brilliant! We have seen the damaging effects of other overly strict policies in so many other surrounding schools (including a lot of depression, discouragement, and lack of learning) so we couldn't be more happy in the way they have handled this so far. Because she is able to go back to school, and not have us home school her, the teachers were able to recognize that she had a bit of a learning disability and we were able to immediately jump on that and get a tutor. One of her teachers actually took the time to educate herself better on her type of disability in order to understand and be able to serve her and some other kids with this issue even better. We would have never even known she had some issues. Now we can save her the heartache of losing her self confidence and falling behind. We highly support Jim Bernstorf and his highly compassionate & knowledgeable staff. We thank them so much for the way they teach the children. Thanks to them, our child can go to school in freedom. As Maria Montessori said, "Let the children be free; encourage them; let them run outside when it is raining; let them remove their shoes when they find a puddle of water; and, when the grass of the meadows is damp with dew, let them run on it and trample it with their bare feet; let them rest peacefully when a tree invites them to sleep beneath its shade; let them shout and laugh when the sun wakes them in the morning as it wakes every living creature that divides its day between walking and sleeping."

There are lots of choices out there with varying degrees of curriculum, weekly fees and tenured employees. My biggest concern was just finding a place that felt friendly and where I knew my son wouldn't be just another kid. A co-worker highly recommended her daycare to me where she has her daughters just two days a week. We went together to meet the director and I was given a tour of the entire facility. First of all, the director is great and she has a very down-to-earth personality and totally understands the worry and stress of putting your child in someone else's care for the majority of the week. The facility is beautiful and cozy. It's a smaller daycare, about 95 capacity I believe, and it was built to resemble a house rather than a typical daycare building. The daycare is family owned and operated as opposed to a corporate chain. They do offer part-time care (which you don't find everywhere) and the cost for an infant was about $100 cheaper per month than the other daycare we were considering. I love the proximity to my office and I enjoy being able to stop in and see my son at lunch. I feel that all of the teachers are genuine and truly care about me and my questions and concerns and my son's well-being. They are honest and love filling me in on the minute details of my son's day there. They have a true 4:1 infant ratio and I have witnessed them being very mindful of that. It really pains me to put my child in daycare and not be at home with him, but if this is the option I have for right now, I couldn't imagine having my son anywhere else but here!

I was told some not so nice things about it when I was doing my research, and even had a friend call out to her facebook contacts to reach out to me to tell me about their experiences there. From what I could tell, the current director of the center came in and really turned everything around. They exceed all the state standards for a child care center, so I am not going to bore you with staff/student ratios, or scores from the state website. I will tell you about the great feeling I get every day when I pick my daughter up. She is happy, smiling, tells me all about who she played with that day. She's 2 by the way, so typically anything mommy asks is answered with a NO, but when it comes to her school she will talk my ear off. I also love that she starts radomly singing "Jesus Loves Me" and "God Our Father," songs I didn't learn growing up, but the staff made sure I had the words so I could sing along with her. They have great theme days, like next weeks Mud Day where they will put the kids in a mud pit from 4-6 (just in time to take them home all muddy no doubt), and asked the parents to come play with them if possible. They had a Mother's Day Brunch the Friday before Mother's Day, and my favorite things, A Pre-K Prom (I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to go to that). The staff is very good with communication. Not only do you get daily updates, but emails with Ministry teachings for the week and monthly learning plans so you can continue the learning at home. They have also done a lot to coordinate relief efforts for those who suffered recently in the tornados in Alabama. I thought that when I had to go back to work and switched my daughter from a Private Day School to a Child Care Center, she would be loosing some of the education elements she had been receiving, but I was mistaken. She is thriving, surpising me with her knowledge every day. I would recommend this center hands down to anyone.

This review is for OLIVIA in Nursery 1…read more Thank you, Olivia, for making it a little easier leaving my first child at day care. Olivia is sweet as can be, loving with the babies, and knows exactly what they need. My little nugget has some feeding and sleep habits that we're working on at home, and Olivia was more than willing to put them into practice at "school." My baby loves her - he smiles so big when I hand him over in the morning. It's a relief to not have to worry all day (even though I do because I'm a mom) while I am at work and can't be with my son. Tiffany, the Director, and her Assistant, Elizabeth, are too sweet. They do a good job, and don't mind at all when I call to check on the kiddo during the day. I feel horrible, but can't remember the sweetest, blonde lady's name, who is always there in the mornings, and is always in LITERALLY the best mood ever. She brings a smile to my face, which is tough to do at 7:00 AM. ;) It's not "fancy" like Primrose or Goddard, but it's loving, and safe. :)
