When we first moved in a few years ago we actually enjoyed it here. However over the last year and more recently we have had problem after problem for MONTHS now. When the apartments were bought out they raised our rent $700! We made that work but immediately after that our fridge broke. That is considered a maintenance emergency. Rather than coming that day to fix it or give us a replacement fridge they gave us a key to a unit 30 units away and we had to move our food there for 4 days before they came and fixed it. They didn't care whatsoever about the inconvenience it caused us. Our dryer broke right after we moved in and the dryer has since broke 4 different times. We are now on the 4th time and it's been two weeks and our washer is still not fixed. We're just getting the run around from maintenance to the managers, to the office people who don't know how to do anything but rent an apartment. They told us a fake date on when someone would come look at it. Rather than saying they don't have a time they're trying to blame it on us and saying we're lying. I also feel bad for our neighbors below because our washer has been leaking causing damage for the last TWO tenants and rather than fixing the issue we are having the same problem AGAIN. From the coffee machine being stolen, the broken washers and dryers, the inconsiderate construction workers across the street and the crappy new leasing office management and workers it is absolutely not worth living here or paying the price to live here. read more

Recently moved in, and I am very happy! Very clean building. The staff is super friendly and there is a variety of different age groups within the building, but there are no noise complaints. although this is a pet friendly apartment, you don't hear many pets, or cause issues. office is always super informative organized and leasing agents are always willing to go above and beyond. Channing,Carly, Danielle, Nick and Caleb from maintenance have all been great help and I would definitely recommend I moved here from California and the location is very convenient near food grocery, stores and my favorite, walking distance from IKEA. read more

Update: I have lived here for almost 3 months and I really like it so far. The residents are all really friendly and I appreciate how dog friendly the community is! The leasing staff recently changed, but the new staff seems just as friendly as the old ones. My only complaint would be the amount of insulation, you can hear EVERYTHING in these apartments, much more than other apartments I've I'm convinced that even a mouse walking would sound like a heard of elephants. Community Utilities are also extremely low, so I'm not sure why everyone is complaining about them in these reviews?? I also haven't experienced or seen any sneaky behavior such as car theft or vandalism on the property. Overall I would recommend the Glenn! I revoked my original review since management remedied the situation. I haven't moved in yet, but will update after I do! I will say, the community is OUTSTANDING! Hands down one of the most beautiful communities I've toured! The amenities seem great and they have a salt water pool which is pretty cool! The apartment color schemes are very modern and they have several floor plans to choose from. They have mandatory valet trash, poo prints (dog DNA testing), pest control, and allocated community utilities (minus electric). I do feel they charge less "mandatory fees" than most places in the area. You also get one free parking spot in the garage! While there were several mix ups with information from a leasing agent and incorrect information being given to me, the staff in this office worked very hard to fix the situation. They are some of the nicest people in the industry. After expressing my frustrations with Athena she invited me back in to fix the problem and clarify everything, which I really appreciate. She also followed up after and I received and apology email from Pete which was very thoughtful! I also spoke with several residents and everyone was very friendly and said they really enjoyed living at the Glenn. As far as them keeping admin fees/deposit... I was told you only receive those fees bif you are not approved, but it looks like from other reviews that may not be accurate??? I would just recommend being SURE you want to move to the community and that you make 3x the rent or more and/or your guarantor makes 5x the rent, just to avoid any potential problems with them not crediting those fees back. If you are like me, you use reviews as a large part of researching when making big decisions such as where to live. There is so much positive info here in the reviews for The Glenn that I agree with, and it is those things that keep me here. For me this includes the location, amenities, office and maintenance staff, great neighbors, pets allowed, and building/landscaping upkeep. But there are several negative things that I wish I had known before signing my lease. My first issue, as others have noted, rent prices here can be high as expected for a higher end complex. But these prices could be excessive even for a luxury complex. Greystar is the property owner and management company. If you search for "Greystar Price Fixing Class Action", there are accusations that Greystar, in collusion with other property companies, knowingly used a pricing algorithm that set rates at much higher than market. My personal experience is an average increase of 15% per year during my time at The Glenn, much higher than rate of inflation, and market rates for the area. Next, this luxury complex is newer (Finished in 2018) and has great amenities and updates throughout so you would expect this to be reflected by a higher quality construction as well. Unfortunately that is not the case, especially in the residential units. The HVAC system is LOUD and located right in the living room area. Do not expect to easily hold a conversation or hear anything but the fan when it is running. But the most obvious problem is the lack of noise abatement due to the substandard materials and techniques used during construction. You can hear noise and feel movement from the units above, below, and surrounding yours. It's definitely not as bad as some mid/low-end buildings but far from the quality you would expect from being a new building with high rent prices. I can't even imagine how difficult it must be for those living under a unit with little kids, partiers, or barking dogs. Heavy walking adults are bad enough. A related issue is with reporting noise complaints. The office staff is responsive and helpful when reporting, but after hours you are encouraged to contact the security service hired by management. Don't expect much from security when it comes to noise, they are dismissive and slow to respond, if they respond at all. These last few items likely just come down to personal preference or expectations but could be helpful to know. The lease requires that you enroll in a valet trash service at a cost of $35 a month, even if you never use the service and prefer to dump your own trash in the chutes. They also only pickup Sun-Thu, not on holidays, and not when it snows. Anecdotally I would say that I only see 20% of residents on my floor using this service regularly, with the majority of us not using it at all. But you still pay. Utilities for common areas and amenities are shared by everyone. Expect them to be higher than the utilities you pay for your actual unit, and don't be surprised at all the associated nickel and dime fees that are included. The Jones District where The Glenn is located, is currently under construction all around the building. Be prepared for noise from 7am-5pm during the week and frequently on weekends. This is also impacting the availability of outdoor parking for you and your guests. The entire rear parking lot for The Glenn is closed to residents/guests. These last are not unique to The Glenn or any other living space. But be prepared for a small number of selfish neighbors who think the rules don't apply to them. Some of these include not picking up after pets and letting pets do their business in the hallways, ignoring the non-smoking policy, violating parking garage rules, not cleaning up after themselves in common areas, and after-hours noise especially from the pool area. Even with all of this, overall this is a decent place to live. It could just be so much better. read more

My son tried to apply for an apartment and they collected an application fee, an admin fee and the security deposit from him. Just under $500.00. He was denied and they would not return his admin fee or his security deposit. It is my understanding you only pay a deposit on a rented unit? We tried to talk to the staff and were repeatedly told they would not return any of his money. He is fresh out of college and starting a new job. So I do not have to tell you how he needs that money. Cost of living in Colorado etc. My son also went in to the office to request it and was denied once again by Pete and Chrissy. My husband called and spoke to Chrissy and was told he could be a little nicer about it, but at this point we had already been nice and given everyone a chance to make it right. Now, I will be contacting the the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Report office at the Attorney General office in Colorado, Phil Weiser. read more

The Glenn is a good community, but the fact that they have this company called Wyatt's to tow cars inside our garages makes the environment feel very degraded and cheap. Parking the car the other day in the garage I see a bunch of people, badly dressed up looking for something like hungry rats. I did not even get out of the car afraid of them, then I put the windows down a bit and ask them if there were any problems, they did not even care about it, and continued searching for whatever . I almost called the police bc I thought they were up to something before I realized they belonged to the predatory company hired by the Glenn to tow cars. Well, this morning I was ready to leave the complex, went to the garage and where is my car? .... after minutes of thinking I decided to call the police as the office at the Glenn( was closed until 12), after 1 pm I found out the car was towed, with my parking permit inside the car, and legally parked.... Who wants to live in a community where you pay rent , have a parking space available and have these predatory people coming to your garage and towing your car with a parking permit inside? I also called the towing company 5 times, and finally got someone on the phone , very rude who said I had to pay 300$ to get my car released and that I was not going to spoil her Sunday church , And hang up on me!. Get rid of Wyatts and get my car back in the garage intact ! read more

I'll start with the pro: staff is really nice. Sean the manager is extremely nice and helpful, and I never had any issues with any other staff members. The maintenance team is on top of it and so nice(however, many issues are handled by a third party, & thats a whole different story). They have fun activities every month which was really cool and unique for apartments. It is a VERY clean, aesthetically pleasing, and new complex, located walking distance to the light rail and a short drive to anything else you might need. I do believe many of the issues I had were out of staffs control, so I feel bad giving such low stars , but things I would've liked to have known prior to moving: A. The amenities are always broken. The place is brand new so that was weird. I would go up to the rooftop several times and only once was the fire place working. Hot tub broken often as well. The door to get into my area of the apts was broken for about a month. Everything is a "warranty issue" so they have to wait on a third party, who has no sense of urgency I guess B. These apts were just not built great. When my upstairs neighbor moved in I thought they were just extremely loud and stomped all the time ( to the point of waking me up). I voiced my complaints to management but they said that's part of community living... I've lived in apartments my whole life and never had to deal with this, especially in brand new ones. After talking to several other residents, one of which who actually moved out because it was such a problem, everyone hears their upstairs neighbors like that. It's just the way it was built. I also had to have construction In my apt because of the way the pipes were built, they were making loud noises after I moved in. It became obvious that unfortunately the builders were focused on not building them great, just making but making them look nice 3. All the fees/bills. Omg it was nonstop. "Shared utilities " went up A LOT every month, random service fee , trash valet fee , on top of water and sewer. After I moved in they were having a dog poop problem so I had to pay $100 to get my dog DNA tested for a program that was supposed to cut down on people not cleaning up after their dogs (it didn't work, dog poop still was everywhere). The fact that they were just expect you to pay $100 fee out of nowhere it was bad business to me. Overall I would not move back to the Glenn for the poor construction and excessive cost (high rent coupled with constant fees/bills) read more

Just moved in this week and I couldn't be happier. The leasing team was great through the process and the building is top notch - brand new with great amenities and amazing views. And since it's still new, I had options of brand new apartments to choose from - unlike the other places nearby (and there are several) where your options are based on who happens to be moving out. I got a place with spectacular views of the mountains on two sides. My options at other nearby complexes were a view of IKEA or a view of Maggiano's... I looked at several places in the area and the Glenn really stands out. read more

Before I say anything, I want to remind you that they are a corporation and they will write a comment to cover up their mistakes, they aren't stupid. To begin, I want to say that this place I believe is fine until you start running into troubles with them. Pete, our first leasing agent was AMAZING. This young man deserves a promotion because there aren't many people in this industry who are as nice as him. To make this review short, we couldn't rent here due to issues in the guarantor lease we needed. However I do have a problem with the women in the office. Friday and Monday I went in as soon as possible to turn in the information they needed. I called them Tuesday to see if we could have an update but they said they were busy but would call us back in the afternoon. They never did. Finally on Friday, after not hearing anything for days, Kristy picks up and I explain to her our troubles. She responded, "oh you were in here every day, I don't recall seeing you every day." How dare anyone talk to a customer as she did!? After all, am I the customer or am I her slave!? We pulled out of this place as soon as this happened. Never did management apologize or help our situation at all. THIS IS A CORPORATE LEASING COMPANY. All they care about is profit, be careful. Not worth it. Just because we are a young couple trying to move in you don't treat us like we are trash! read more
