The Geode Shop, is one of my favorite staples at Knott's Berry Farm. I honestly didn't event know until January 2026 that there was an actual crystal shop in that little shack and I have been coming here since the 90's! I seriously thought they only sold the geodes out front. Imagine how surprised and happy I was to walk in and see crystals. I LOVE crystals and have an extensive collection of my own. So I am loving The Geode Shop even more now. Out front are geodes you can choose from to slice open. Prices ranged from $20-$60 or more, I think. If they cut them open and it's a dud, you will be able to pick another. I think these are worth your money and a fun experience. These geodes are amazing to see after they took millions of years to form. The crystals inside and to your left are all almost mostly raw material. I prefer and adore raw minerals, especially high quality. They're not high quality here in my opinion but you do get to see the different and more common types of crystals from quartz, to selenite, fluorite, calcites, apophyllite, amethyst, agates. There were some agate slices and rhodochrosite that were signed. I gasped hard when I saw this. I am so particular about my crystals being clean and bright, but it was kinda cool to see one with Mickey Mouse and the other from Star Wars. There were a lot that were signed but those two caught my attention. To the right of the shop as you enter are fossils of animals, bugs of some sort and fossilized leaves. Pretty cool to see. I may buy one of a leaf that looks like a fern. I have a soft spot for ferns, so that one is something I have my eyes on. Immediately in front of the cash register are more crystals, some made into bracelets, etc. There is a specimen cabinet right in the middle with more rare and higher quality crystals which I was enjoying. I could stand there for a long time to just admire their beauty. It made me miss staring at my own collection and made me appreciate mine so much more. If ever you were that child that loved rocks, the special things that nature made, The Geode Shop is a must visit for every time you visit Knott's. The staff is pretty friendly and so easy to talk to. One of them that I spoke with even has their own collection and their Ethiopian opal is on display in that HQ case I was talking about. I hope the shop never goes away. I would be so devastated.

So surprised that they had a minerals shop inside of the Knott's Berry Farm. Loved it. Geode Gene is attentive and helpful person. This is not a big store but it has a lot of colorful minerals. :)

We absolutely love this store. Since it is really close to the main entrance, (just before arriving at Ghostrider), we always stop by here. Plus, I have rocks in my head so there is a kind of unspoken kinship with me and the shop. Geodes vary in price and generally start ~$10. But... you get what you pay for. The more expensive the Geode, the more likely you are to get something absolutely stunning. We typically by 4 or 5 of the little feckers every time we go to Knott's. Every single one will come with a very detailed description of their age, composition and most likely, a couple corny dad jokes to go along with 'em. Absolutely love this store!!!

I came here today with a friend of mine for a school field trip and the worker or owner was so sweet and so patient with me. Everything was fairly priced, nice and neat and so beautiful. They also have a grab bag where u can pick different types of raw and tumbled crystals !This is by far my favorite gift shop in knotts berry farm and i will most definitely come back !!

As a geology enthusiast, I was super excited to see a minerals shop inside Knott's Berry Farm! They have nice displays of minerals with their name, source, and sometimes small facts. The store is small but pleasant, and the staff were very friendly. The minerals and geodes that they have for sale appear to be reasonably priced. I got one of their mystery orbs and got a pretty bracelet, a simple pendant on a black cord, and some very small minerals. Overall, it's a nice experience- definitely worth checking out!

This is a pretty rockin store that's located in the Ghost Town part of Knott's Berry Farm close to the entrance of the park. Here you will find an abundance of minerals for sale most of which have been shaped or polished already or ones that are straight from the ground! There is also a section of autographs from some of your favorite celebrities who have visited the park which is pretty cool to check out. One of the most awesome things here has to be the vault that holds the dinosaur egg fossils I keep hoping that one day they will hatch and a baby dinosaur will take over the park... But yeah I guess ill have to keep dreaming on that one! I'm kind of a geology nerd and have always been fascinated by the beautiful minerals that the earth has created over time it's just crazy what time pressure and extreme heat can create! What makes this shop stand out is the fact that you can pick your own geode from the cart and get it cut open to see all the beauty that nature has created for you! The best part of this is that the majority of the geodes are decently priced so anyone can afford them! Over the years we've boughten many geodes here and have ended up with some pretty awesome rocks that sit on the mantel at home! There is also a little coin machine here where you can end up with a pretty cool mineral if your lucky or something even better if your really lucky and get the special one! Also don't forget that if your a Knott's season pass holder you get a discount on your rocks! So if you love geology or want to learn a bit more about it check this shop out as I've always found that the staff here is very knowledgeable about the minerals and pretty good at answering any questions you might have. See you around the farm!

We always try to stop by here when we're at Knott's Berry Farm. Located near the entrance of Ghost Town, the Geode Shop is always a fun place to visit when we're at the park. We always look at the geodes out in front first. On our last visit here, the friendly employee helped us find the prettiest geode for the price. With prices ranging from about $10 to over $100, you really get what you pay for. While the cheapest geodes tend to be solid inside, we found a mid-priced one that was beautiful once opened. It's fun to pick out a geode and watch the employee cut it in half so we can see what's inside. Inside the tiny store is equally cool. Full of rocks, minerals, and fossils, we love looking at all the beautiful items. There's this amazing amethyst in the case that's so pretty. With a huge price tag of almost $20,000, I think it will hopefully remain in the store for a while. There is also some really cool fossils and dinosaur bones that are truly memorable. I also like looking at all the pretty jewelry and a small section devoted to old coins and copper and silver bars. If you are a rock or mineral collector or just like looking at all the cool fossils, this is a fun little store to visit when in Ghost Town at Knott's Berry Farm!

My body was ready for this. Regular season passholders get 10% off, but platinum season passholders get 20% off. My bff was in town and he has a platinum pass so we had to stop by the geode shop because 20% off!!! I've broken up a few geodes here and I think I have gotten better at selecting prime ones. Previously the most expensive one I had done was like $20. But this day I wanted one that was a little more. Saturday afternoon so it wasnt exactly empty. There was a family with 3 little kids crowding up the area where you can select a geode. Little kids just picking them up and throwing them. GD CONTROL YOUR KIDS! I selected a middle of the price road geode. $54 ($43.20 with the discount!). It felt perfect to me. I asked the man who was working (Randy) what he thought and he said it sure felt like a good one! I went for it. He put it in the machine and I waited as patiently as I could but I was so excited. I couldnt wait to see what was inside. I was also slightly annoyed because those kids were stepping on my toes and bumping into my side, and their parents were standing right there but they werent concerned at all that their kids were running amuck. After about a minute Mr Randy showed me my cut open geode and everyone, and I mean everyone, went "WHOAAAAAAAAA!" It was insane. Beautiful inside. Worth every penny. If I was standing there as a spectator I would be so jealous. Its now on my shelf. My precious.

Notice the mining cart full of geodes for sale. Starting at $10

The Geode Shop is located in Knott's Berry Farm near the entrance of the Ghost Town. They have a great display room filled with fossils, minerals, dinosaur eggs, bones and meteorites from world wide locations. Geodes are their specialty at the shop. What is a geode? They started their lives 100 million years ago as solid looking rugged rocks. Hallowed and lined with quartz crystals on the inside. They vary in size from a baseball to several feet wide. One large geode in the shop once belonged to Steve Wynn and was on display in one of his Las Vegas hotels. His wife snatched it in their divorce and found a willing buyer in the Geode Shop. An antique miner's cart loaded with a variety of uncut geodes for sale sits in front of the store. Buy one and they'll cut it open and explain to you what you see inside. One of the shops biggest sellers is copralite, the scientific name for fossilized dinosaur poop. One sample even bears a footprint of one dinosaur who wasn't careful where he stepped. I've always liked this shop. It's interesting to view museum quality fossils for sale. I stop by to look around every time we're in KBF and am always amazed at what I see.

This place turned me onto rock collecting. It's actually very amazing how these geodes form and are found. I recommend this place in knotts to anyone. I love it will continue to buy geodes from here to build my collection.

We spent 3 hours with John, his daughter Carrie and the staff. What an amazing visit. They were so nice! knowledgeable, and kind. They gave Sawyer a complete tour of the shop and shared the wonderful history and stories of many of their products: Gems, minerals, rocks, stones, meteorites, hand made Jewelry and much more. The Knowledge the folks at Burton' Gems shared was "beyond Epic" "very cool" according to my grandson. John is a living legend in the industry. They were so kind to give their time to Sawyer. We had visited The LA Zoo, Disneyland/California Adventure, and Magic Mountain this week. Sawyer was so impressed and in awe. We had a great time but I had such joy in seeing a 13 yr old young man being so excited for 3 hour, this was The most "Epic time he ever had". I loved the day as well. Every so often, you stumble across something so unexpected that it leaves a mark on your day. This gem shop was exactly that. My daughter likes gems and I was looking to surprise her with a unique outing so I yelped a gem shop and stumbled across this one. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted warmly and regaled with stories of everything in the shop. It felt like a museum that was for sale. They had everything from the affordable $1 "babysitter" bin of rocks to keep the kiddos entertained, to the essentially priceless (and everything in between). The highlight for me was the vintage jewelry pieces. They were so unique and stunning in a way that modern jewelry stores simply cannot compare. If you're looking for a nice piece of jewelry to surprise someone, they can definitely help. The owners were happy to discuss details of every stone and encouraged questions from my daughter like she was on a class field trip. They delighted in letting her hold and touch things that were clearly out of her price range. My husband enjoyed the fossilized dinosaur poop, because... poop. They also carve their own stones, and do repair work! If you have been meaning to stop in here, then I encourage you to do so as soon as you can. If they don't have it, I'm betting they can get it. We delighted in the stories and the gems, and cannot wait to return to hang out with these lovely folks.
