He's super friendly and was great to talk to. Got us some of their garden mix, 1 yard worth. He gave us some large plastic pots for us to haul the soil in our vehicle. Offered delivery but I figured for the amount of soil, I could handle it. The other employees were nice and friendly as well. They have a great place for tress and shrubs. It all seems organized and well kept. I'll definitely return based on the overall appearance of everything they had and the excellent staff they have.

Almost kept driving. So glad I turned around. There are so many things to look at. Lamps, wall decor, candles. I almost bought a candle and I have too many as it is. They have a whole aisle of clearance. There is a section with reading glasses, nice purses and other things. They have many house plants, real trees, outdoor plants, lawn tools, a pet aisle, Whew! I am getting tired! I think I was in the store 1 - 1/2 hours just looking at everything. I walked out with a wire butterfly sculpture for the wall, ladybugs sculpture for yard on clearance and frog sculpture on clearance and I do not even have a garden. You can always find an employee to help you. They are so helpful and friendly. Definitely will stop when I am in town again.

My 10+ year old orchid was alive but not thriving. It had recently developed a mealybug…read moreinfestation (source unknown). I drove over 200 miles (round trip) to get my orchid repotted because I knew I needed help. Mary is an absolute joy to work with. She inspected my orchid thoroughly and said its root system was very healthy, but it had mealies hiding in the nooks and crannies. She then proceeded to hand pick every last one of them off. The work was painstaking and thorough. A disinfectant bath followed, and then she modified my (newly sterilized) pot to fit the root system better (it was too big for the orchid, and I hadn't brought a smaller one, but wanted to use this style, so she used sterilized Styrofoam peanuts at the bottom to reduce the usable depth). She explained step by step what she was doing and WHY. When it was all done she gave me detailed instructions on cultural practices (watering, temperature, light, pest prevention and eradication). Rule of thumb is to repot an orchid yearly. I will definitely be making the 200 mile drive again next year to Mary and Goin'to Pot Orchids & Repotting Services.

Owned by the Cots organization, this project, now in it's second year, aims to use the grounds to grow food and feed those in the Appleton food desert. Riverview serves as a means to establish work habits and provide jobs, paid and unpaid, for many in the community. Many hoop houses have been erected, and garden beds are being prepared. Food bearing plants are being added to those already in place outside of the hoop houses. Sound organic principals are being practiced under the able leadership of Oren Jakobson. Certain areas of the grounds are dedicated to park like persuits. The former Country Club is being made into a community center. Volunteer driven. This addresses many needs of the community. As a first time shopper, I asked about the return policy and was told it could be returned for in-store credit. The sleeves proved too short, so I tried to return the purchase today. Initially the cashier said there was a 10 day return policy on clothing and refused the return. I explained the information I had been given, but since it was seasonal, she would only make an exception to exchange it for the same clothing item. She referred me to the back of the price tag, which does explain the policy; but what I was verbally told was different. Well, a larger size doesn't have longer sleeves, but since I had no alternative, I made an exchange. I said that as a first time shopper, it didn't give me a good impression of the store. Nothing more was said. (BTW, the item is now on sale for 20% off vs my 10% discount. Bottom line, I thought this might become a store I would shop frequently, but now I will not return. I try to shop local, but with policies like this, it's no wonder larger stores are winning the retail race.
