I placed a pre-order for 7 MTG boxes with this store in Aug 2020 (2 years ago approx).
They got back to me a month or two later and claimed the items were "lost" and offered a replacement of a different product. A similar box, we begrudgingly accepted this swap in items given they were trying to make it right.
Then RE the new items: delivery date after delivery date was missed. Over a period of 2 YEARS, 10 dates came and went where it kept getting pushed back and pushed back on delivery.
I had over 20 emails ignored in the period from Aug 2020 to January 2022. The longer the company defaulted on providing the items the more disdain they seemed to have towards us he customer in answering basic emails or caring in anyway they couldn't deliver.
This was for an order of cardboard of $1260+
They never came to a fair resolution. Games Cube couldn't even be bothered to contact me RE: refunding. Money was sent to an old account I had in 2020 and I had to chase it down over 6 months with them not helping one bit. 10-15 of my own hours were wasted in phone calls/emails to fix issues with this non-order. Despite ALL this being their fault and inability to deliver. By the way all other stores had these boxes instock 15+ units etc. This was a widely available item in every other store in Aus.
We were scammed, and they held out money as a free loan over 2 years then treated us like garbage and couldn't be bothered to reply. We are 99% sure due to the rising price in boxes they just cancelled most of the order.
I've got over 10 years experience ordering from MTG stores for my game group of 7+ people. Never in those 10 years has a company so blatantly and so awfully treated me horrible than the Games cube.
It was surprising given I had a history of some orders with them, but alas buyer beware they if something goes wrong they blame the customer and start to treat you awfully. It's bizare and they lack any care for what happened with this order.
This is the only business in 10 years I have had to report to WPN (Wizards of coast) & the ACCC and Sydney Fair Trade commission. They have the full details of the scam they pulled on us.
The most awful service of anywhere I've bought something from in my adult life. Very pathetic. BUYER BEWARE. They had years to reply to me. Never did they lift a finger to try and make things right for a $1000+ order. read more
