This is one of my favorite shops in this area- very gently used to brand new clothing and various other treasures all at excellant prices- no one ever knows that I shop resale. Ive been here many times over the past 3 years and NEVER had a bad experience with owner or staff- they are all very kind and treat me with respect and my children have always felt comfortable searching thru the store. I would keep my kids inline with the choices of the behavior in public so that nobody else would feel uncomfortable. I highly recommend this store to any style Savy woman- pregnant, profesional, hot, we all wear a lot of hats each day of our lives- this store has all the outfits and accessories for each hat read more

Service amazing and she , the owner, knows exactly what to recommend and she really knows her stuff. Great products and selection based on her knowledge. Big trust and the value if the knowledge merits the price of their products. read more

Not a thrift store! All new stuff! Some pretty things moderately priced if you need wedding gift.

Friendly staff. Wide range of gifts for your own home or others. Always changing what's available to keep new options fresh.

It's been a while since I have visited funky monkey, but in the days when the kids were younger that was my most favorite place to go. I have my first great grandchild coming and funky monkey is the first place I will go. read more

I was visiting the Houston area and found this little store with lots of great gift items. I bought my husband a wallet and had a message laser on it. The machine won't laser right but the young man that was working the machine never gave up. I wish I remember his name as he was so nice. My husband loves the wallet so much that he doesn't want to use it lol read more

This is a great place to find bargains on gently used kids cloths, toys and accessories. They also have a few new items hand made, some are a bit pricey but cute and if you can afford it unique. The staff is always friendly and willing to help and tell you about upcoming special sales, they also have frequent shopper cards that earn you something special. I really like this resale shop! read more

The Funky Monkey - Vitamins & Supplements Near Me - Friendswood, Texas

I love this local shop! I mainly purchase CBD treats for my senior dog. The staff are friendly, helpful and informative.

Here's something I've learned about parenting: when your kid is screaming and crying, it's so much more pleasant if they look cute while doing it. That sounds shallow, but seriously, it's true. So my wife and I like to dress our son in clothes that we think are super cute just to take the edge off the terrible twos (he's not two yet, but he throws truly terrible tantrums). The only downside is the clothes that we think are cute are EXPENSIVE, so we shop at thrift stores. I believe The Funky Monkey recently changed owners, so that may explain why they had decals in the window with brands like Hannah Andersen and Janie and Jack but they had no higher-end clothes in my son's size, except for a few Gap and Old Navy outfits, which don't hold up as well. They had one outfit by Gymboree, but it was totally fuzzy and looked uncomfortable. They had a toy section, but it was just some stuff in the middle of the store blocked off by baby gates. I couldn't tell if it was ok for me to go look at the toys, but there really weren't many, so I didn't deal with potential awkwardness of climbing the fence if I wasn't supposed to. After not really finding anything, I went to the counter to ask if they had any other clothes in my son's size that I may be missing, and the owner/manager and cashier were talking about something work-related. I waited for a few seconds for the owner to finish her sentence, but she just kept talking. After about 30 seconds of awkwardly waiting, I just turned around and left since it really didn't look like they had anything that would work. I've also heard through the grapevine that they don't pay a high percentage of the sales price to the consignor, so maybe people who have higher-end clothes are taking them to other stores in the area. read more

Less resale; more boutique. I used to like this store especially for children's resale clothes for holidays. But it has recently changed and half the store now is now gifts: monogrammed items, silly headbands, even home decor. I'm surprised...Friendswood doesn't need another frou-frou gift boutique! The boys section is minuscule and the plus-size section is gone. If you're looking for children's resale, look elsewhere...Small Changes in League City and Lollipop in Pearland are better. This isn't the store it used to be. :( Edit: added a star because the owner reached out to me after my initial review & offered a $10 gift certificate to come back & try them again. read more

I love this store! Most times I go in with a gift need and walk out with more than I bargained for because of so many cute things from clothes, home decor, nick nacks or gifts. Mother's Day is coming up and I'm so happy I have a good reason to go in. I'm looking forward to using the monogram services. Funky Monkey is one of a kind! read more

Do Not Shop Here! Staff members were rude and almost annoyed that folks with small children were in the store. This is a resale shop - not a fine china showroom!! Of course folks with small children want to feel comfortable shopping anywhere! Everything is pricey except the older items and the dusty junk. My daughter and I left our items behind because of one of the staff members making loud, rude comments about the folks shopping. I will never give my hard earned $$ to a large or small retail shop where rude employees roam. read more

Nestled in the heart of Friendswood is a store that meets anyone's needs from clothes to CBD to skating needs. The Funky Monkey not only carries the latest trends or cutest clothes for your kids to be seen in but they also sell home décor and little trinkets for those upcoming stocking stuffers. What makes this small business even more exciting is how inspirational they are there. They give back to the community, continue to empower their following with positive antidotes each day and strive to be knowledgeable in all their product lines. My mom purchases her CBD edibles there and when she asked me to pick up her order, they took the time to ensure that she was getting the correct dosage for the reasoning behind her use. They explained the different types they offered and how each one could help in a different way. They also support rising authors and local sport programs like Friendswood Mustangs and South Side Roller Derby. Seeing a small business put so much back into the community is inspiring and a reason I will continue to think of them when I need that special token or little extra something to make someone in my life have a special day! read more
