Came here for a night out after moving to Yuma. We loved it! Had a good time, drinks were nice and strong & they definitely know how to make anything. Im newly 21, not sure what I want all the time but I asked for fruity drinks and they were all very tasty! They played really good music and have darts as well as board games! Its a nice atmosphere. The only downside is that its a bit brighter than one would expect inside but it doesnt ruin the bar. read more

Popped in here when I was out in Yuma visiting the parents for Christmas. It is cash only but they do have an ATM. Thankfully I had cash on hand. Owner/bartender is super chill & knows his stuff. Bar bas darts & games which makes you want to hang out longer. I was by myself so I sat at the bar & drank & chilled for a couple of hours. Good music vibe too. I'll be back. Parking lot is small. But the bathroom was nice & clean. read more

I am visiting Yuma and this is one place that was mentioned by the locals a few times. It is a little bright inside but the bar tender was attentive and the drinks were well made. The crowd was younger but good, seemed more of a hangout spot but the rail was chill. read more

i drove by on my way to San Diego stayed at a hotel and wanted to have a drink. googled and found Friendly Tavern down the street so I decided to try them out. first of all it felt like a nice home style place not your average bar. I felt comfortable there and really enjoyed their drinks! the bar tender was super nice and the bouncer was very friendly and talkative. the bouncer made me feel at home as he would walk around and ask if we were ok or needed anything. he greeted us with a big smile and seemed to be very helpful there. I definitely will return to this place next time I swing by. thanks Ken who made my drinks which were amazing and thanks to Ramon the bouncer who greeted is with such friendly attitude and respect. yes I know their names as they introduced themselves and made us feel welcomed! thank you Friendly Tavern the name of the business is on point ! read more

Great place to hangout and play some darts. They have beer pong tournament, drink specials that are always changing and the owners are friendly and always greeting new faces. Wonderful Ambiance! karaoke on Thursday nights. read more

I travel through Yuma now and then, and have stopped at a few different places around town.  My Uber driver reccomended The Friendly Tavern. From the outside, this place may not look like a Vegas style bar, but I have always have fun here!     The atomoshpere is fun, and I have met some really cool people here. The bartenders are generouly smiling, or at the very least have a more than  pleasant attitude and (make great drinks). A few of us decided to take our Uber early one night to see what else was around town.  The vibe at several other bars and clubs are hard to explain (dark and sad?), but my tribe all looked at each other and without to words, were quickly out of there... Despite the 15$ cover charges of some of the other clubs, we didn't stay 5 min.  We just wanted fun, and so back we went to the Friendly Tavern and resumed our great time... played games, etc. We didn't want to leave.  I will definetly be back. Not my favorite kind of environment. If you're looking for a younger crowd, go to downtown Yuma. The price for the drinks aren't worth it either. There's a sage and sand bar that has cheaper drinks and better looking place than this. When you walk in, it looks shady and like a crackhouse. read more

Great neighborhood bar in center of Yuma!! Stopped with friends on weekday afternoon for drinks. Place was quiet but owner was serving drinks, interacting, and made our visit great experience!! Plan on coming back to sample his specialty Mexican cocktails. Had Touch Tunes juke box to jeep things hopping. Give the Friendly Tavern a try when you can!! Good times!! read more

This bar is awesome! They have a free pool table all week long and the owner is super friendly and cool. He's a great mixologist and will definitely hangout if the crowd is dead and pay for pay darts or maybe even drinks. read more

Nice friendly bar tender lady, good drinks. The one thing i didn't like was that the lighting the bar top was way too bright hurt my eyes had to sit at a table when i really wanted to sit at the bar. wow, we went here on saturday night when patricia is supposed to be there and she wasnt, if she is not there, then friendly tavern isnt a friendly place. We asked the two patrons if patricia was working cause there was no one behind the bar, when one of em, an older lady, got up went behind the bar and said, what do you think, is she the one behind the bar? WE showed our IDs and she saw they were out of state. the service went down further from there. we shrugged it off but truelly felt like outsiders, We still stayed for 45 minutes and had a few drinks, shots, and cherry bombs. My empty mason jar sat for 15 minutes before we left. If your a good bartender ask me if I want another drink when the one I have is still half full. We said thanks to the mean bartender and she yelled to us ", patricia will be back next Saturday." maybe I will call before we go there next time. How hard is it to be nice, there were 3 of us, 1 other patron, and the bartender, is it that difficult to put on a smile? Do you want a tip?
