This venue has a great indoor event space for any type of extravaganza. Lovely indoor and outdoor options with ample parking. I attended a Gala here last night and had a fabulous time. Food was great. They had a buffet style dinner and bar area set up to the side. Dj and dance floor set up perfectly after dinner to dance the night away. It was actually an amazing experience planning my wedding and having it at the Foundry! With the last week changes to guest numbers, etc, Ashley was flexible and so kind. With the planning over months, I never felt rushed or pressured. She thought through the way we organized the room so it fit best as to what I was looking for. She had great solutions to how to make the reception flow and to arrange the room. I sent emails with my many questions and she would answer each one. I never felt like I was being annoying emailing her so much or so often and was always available. I was so impressed with how she organized and set up the wedding and catering and it was the most perfect wedding day. It's a beautiful venue - we used the decks and the inside and it was beautiful. It's a great location on the river (Willamette) in Lake Oswego. It was amazing for guests to be inside and outside on all the decks and to be able to utilize them this June. I will always recommend the foundry for any event especially weddings! The food and the service was impeccable. The dance floor was an easy transition in the night and they were so easy to work with. We came to check out our wedding venue (yay June 2016!) this past summer - because we live across the country, we had to book based on my mom's photos and our experience working with Kaylee thus far. Man - we were NOT disappointed in our selection! Kaylee greeted us early in the morning on a hot July day, and showed us around to all the spots in the venue, including the outdoor promenade that we're planning to have our ceremony on. Kaylee has been responsive within hours (sometimes minutes!) for any questions I have - and has a passion and enthusiasm that will get anyone excited! We still have a long way to go before our wedding (and before I can actually write a full review), but I couldnt resist typing this up to give others a heads up that the venue is gorgeous, Kaylee is fantastic to work with, and that the Foundry, so far, has been a gem in a long and complicated planning process for us! read more

We had so much difficulty with management. They hired/fired at least four event managers in the time leading up to our wedding, all of whom were assigned to us, and all of whom failed to pass along our communications to the next. We started at square one every time. Our event manager brought her boyfriend to our event wearing a dirty t-shirt and tractor cap among our guests. She couldn't find keys to the groom's dressing area - after she locked it - while it contained the groom's handwritten vows and groomsmen's gifts. These were problems. She didn't know the wifi password, and didn't have keys to locked closets containing tables rented for our event. The kitchen had all the flower arrangements from the previous nights event, our caterer had to work around lots of rotten flowers. It's a nice venue, but it's amateur hour. Use it if you can't find anywhere else. read more

I had the pleasure of participating in a wedding this past weekend at The Foundry at Oswego Pointe. The venue was peaceful and tranquil -- along the waterfront (lake?). We saw some boats speeding by and birds chirping in the trees. It was just the right balance of water + greenery ...we could smell nature all around. The wedding ceremony was fit for about 100+ guests and we were all seated in the "round wooden platform" overlooking the lake. The only drawback was that we could hear boats speeding past as the vows were being said, but other than that -- the view was nice and there was shade during the afternoon hours. We weren't tanning in the hot sun! haha... The bridal room was big enough with couches + coffee table and bathroom -- so the entire bridal party (both girls and guys) could hang out and get ready for the grand entrance. There were mirrors available to prep too. Cocktail hour was hosted upstairs along the balcony of the main dining room -- plenty of room for people to stand and enjoy drinks / small bites -- you have a view of the lake from there as well. Main dining room was spacious with open windows and there was a big dance floor as well. It could easily host 100-150 guests. :) My husband and I had a fun time at this venue - we're happy our friends picked it for their wedding site! read more

As an event planner, I'm always looking for venues that provide beauty and functionality. The Foundry has it ALL, and it is one of the few that I know of that COMES with black chiavari chairs included! Just held a corporate holiday party here & it was flawless. Booking the venue with Natalia, arranging catering with Noelle and the staff onsite were just awesome! Pearl Catering provided the dinner and it was delicious with more than enough food. *Designing Bonus* they have a very tall ladder and built in hooks over the dance floor, which allowed me to easily install ceiling designs. It made me do a "happy dance!" I look forward to my next event at The Foundry! read more

As a professional photographer, The Foundry at Oswego Point is one of the best venues in the Portland Metro area! From the beautiful views from the promenade and amphitheater (a photographer's and couple's dream backdrop), to their newly renovated bridal suite, this venue really has it all. Living in Oregon, it is so important to have a back up plan in case of temperamental weather, and their indoor space provides that perfect plan B for summer weddings, or a great option for winter weddings. Aesthetics aside, their staff also makes this venue stand out. I have had the privilege of working with Natalia Barwegen many times over the years and the experience is always seamless and FUN. The Foundry was the perfect venue for my wedding last week. We lucked out with beautiful weather but had a backup plan to do it indoors in case of rain. Our wedding had a smallish budget and 150 guests and The Foundry suited our needs perfectly. The venue sells itself with the beautiful location and indoor/outdoor capability. The professionalism and seamless collaboration between our event coordinator, Courtney, and our caterer, Premiere Catering made things so easy and stress-free! Our ceremony was on the round deck and we fit almost all of our guests with a few hanging out on the upstairs deck by the bar. The bridal suite was comfortable, I only wish that there had been a place for the boys to get ready also. There are many beautiful photo spots at The Foundry and the surrounding park that give the opportunity to take perfect pictures. read more

What an exceptional place! I attended the venue for a wedding and thought it was perfect. The weather was good and the views of the river outstanding. It was not an exceptionally warm day, however the building was cool and comfortable. I would recommend the venue for any type of gathering or celebration. read more

The Foundry - Venues & Event Spaces Near Me - Lake Oswego, Oregon

My friends held their wedding reception at The Foundry and it proved to be an excellent venue for their 120-person guest list. The food was top-notch, with a tasty buffet of flank steak and salmon and excellent sides. The servers were attentive, pleasant and blended into the background. The central dance floor allowed most of the guests to see the first dance and the large outdoor porch provided a breath of fresh air and good views of the Willamette River. The bride's room is downstairs and provided her (and the groom too) with lots of space to relax and get ready before the festivities began. There is also a pier extending into the Willamette open to guests. The few drawbacks to the venue are: The stairs to the top level hall reveal a bit too much to the people in the lower lobby for anyone wearing a dress. The four, large columns block some views of the dance floor. The only decent wall for projecting a slide show cannot be seen by all guests at once. read more

A beautiful venue. C&A's wedding went without a hitch, despite the many storms coming through the weekend. A rainbow appeared at the end of their ceremony! The big windows allowed us to enjoy the scenery even if the rain kept us inside. A brief rainless minutes, allow he wedding party to take some outdoor pics on the deck. The staff was accommodating and attentive. You rent this place for 12 hours, in which time, the caterers, dj, decorators, florists, set up. There is a private bridal room for getting ready w. a bathroom. The groomsmen room is not as big or fancy, but there was a poker table set up, although I don't believe they used it. The only thing I didn't fancy was that the door to the mens room, on the main floor, was not the most aesthetically placed. When the door open, the entire room can see who is entering/departing. There should be a partition in front to hide the mens' room door. in some of my pics, you can see the men's room symbol in the background. Also, because of rain, the reception was moved to the main lobby where the hor doeurves were served, however, drinks were still available only from upstairs. read more

I hate to write negative reviews and as such have been stewing instead of posting this one for a few months now. My dearest friends were married at the Foundry. The facility itself is very nice. Nearly brand new with neutral tones and nice finishes. They could have made a better choice on the carpeting but the slate floors and decking are very very nice. The wedding went off well thanks to the support of many friends who picked up where the venue services team fell short. The young woman who was supposedly the event coordinator was so busy flirting with all of the male guests and the groom that she couldn't manage to get her job done. I get it, being social and gracious is part of being an event planner. But for heaven's sake! I respect the work that event people and caterers do and I don't think they should be invisible but they should be unobtrusive and focus on getting the job at hand done! I have seen a few posts in the forums here about getting married at the Foundry and all I can say is plan on bringing your own event assistant or you'll be really sorry! read more

From the very start of our planning process, all staff were very helpful an made the event planning fun. The venue is lovely and our guests had a terrific time enjoying each other and the grand views of the river. The technology staff asked us all of the right questions to make sure we were ready for all speakers and videos. Pearl Catering was beyond great! Many guests commented that this was their favorite food from all other events. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SPACE! Waterfront, central location, plenty of parking, vaulted ceilings, creative and skilled people, and great vibes. In Jan 2019 we reserved the Foundry for April 18th, 2020 to get married on our 5 year anniversary! It felt magical the moment we stepped inside. Despite The Foundry's willingness to work with us to create a safe experience during the first days of COVID-19, we decided to postpone just 3 weeks prior to our event! Natalia was extremely accommodating and compassionate as we made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding to September 2020. Additionally, when we felt the need to wait even longer (in July), she continued to support us through our second postponement to July 2021. We couldn't have asked for a better experience through this otherwise impossible time. I heard from many other brides that they lost money, were forced to keep their date, and were faced with apathy. For the price of this venue, it sure is cramped. I am not sure how many different arrangements they can do, but if you want to do a ceremony inside, and your reception, your guests will have to file out to the outdoor patio to give the workers room to rearrange. If you do your ceremony near the water on the pier they have built, that space also looks fairly confined. Staff was nice. I have worked in similar locations to what The Foundry has to offer, and someone needs to get this crew in gear. They were really slow and seemingly disorganized. Actually, I suppose they could have been a part of an outside resource, but that seems unlikely. In a year or so I assume this place will be better, it just didn't look as seamless as it could have been. Will update if I ever see this venue again. read more

Word of advice do not accept verbal confirm number as it has no guarantee of your reservation. Incorrect reservation dates had my out of town family without accommodations at the last minute. Their unwillingness to help solve this problem was unsatisfactory especially when ask to speak to manager who didn't return our phone call. The Foundry was the destination for my husbands Christmas Party last week. I'm not sure who provided the food since this is a party venue. Its easy to find off of 43 in Oswego Point with a large sign at the entry. Abundant parking, lighting and a covered entry. Take the stairs to the top floor to a large room where half the room has windows with a view. Restrooms and access to a large deck. Food, Service and venue made for a very special party. read more

But that's nothing compared to how welcome they make you feel, how interested in you they are, and how kind they are.
