I had Lisa do my make up and hair for my wedding day. I was aware of her vast experience and work within the pageant world; working backstage at Miss California USA and Miss Universe; just to name a few. Being a former Miss Illinois, my expectations for makeup were high and my search was very selective. After looking at Lisa's work online and speaking with her for the first time, over the phone, I knew she was absolutely the one! She is one of the sweetest people I've ever met. I was planning my wedding in Southern California while I was living in Sweden, so finding a place to do my wedding hair and makeup seemed like a daunting task. I am SO GLAD I found Lisa. I cannot even begin to describe how incredible she is. When I met with her, I sort of had an idea of what I wanted, but she was willing to work with me to try a few different styles until we found exactly what would look best. She is a miracle worker. I got kind of funky sunburn a couple days before my wedding and she was able to make it disappear with her magical airbrush skills :) I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup on my wedding day. If there is one person you need to have for your big day or any special occasion it is Lisa. Lisa was actually recommended to me from our jeweler. Trust me when it comes to my hair and make-up I am SUPER particular so I did my research before I scheduled my first hair and make-up trail with Lisa. 5 minutes after meeting Lisa into my trial I was SOLD. Not only was her personality stellar, but she completely understood my vision and I let my guard down and actually got to enjoy being pampered. Lisa and I did 2 trials before my big day and honestly you probably only need one but I wanted to do one closer to the big day for my bridal shower. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Ruined my wedding trial experience. Don't waste your time or money. I never like to write bad reviews but she claims to use high end products but when I had my makeup trial she used all LA colors brand which can be found at the 99cent store. I broke out right after because of the cheap makeup she uses. I had saved up for months to be able to have a trial with Lisa G because the trial alone is very expensive. I am so glad I went in for the trial otherwise I would have had a terrible experience with my hair and makeup on my wedding day. She does not listen to any requests and only does things her way. The photos I took below are right after she had just finished my hair and as you can see it looks like a rats nest. Even after I sent her photos of her work and expressed how upset I was she still did not offer a refund. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! I just had a makeup lesson with Lisa- it was fantastic! I never really used much makeup before, but my son is getting married and I wanted to be prepared for all the events and especially, for those every-lasting PHOTOS that will be taken. I brought in all my face products and cosmetics and Lisa helped me go through everything. She was VERY helpful with showing me how to use what I have and how to fill in some blanks. There was never a hard-sell for products. Then she showed me how to apply makeup specifically for my face for the look I wanted. Lisa did one side and I did the other side.
