So as an adult, I've always been intimidated by anything having to do with physical activity or gyms, and it's easy to let that intimidation turn into yet another excuse to not exercise. But Susan is an amazing coach. She's not a drill sergeant who wants to berate you into working out. She's nurturing and encouraging while also holding you accountable for what you're doing. I've been working with her for 4 weeks, and the before/after stats are amazing. I didn't lose a lot of weight (this is my fault; I tend to eat like a lazy college student) but I lost inches from all over (even my neck! I didn't realize someone could lose a half inch from a neck!). I can do nearly double the number of pushups I could do at first, and 6 TIMES the number of situps. My work with her includes workout plans tailored to who I am and what I'm capable of (including offering scaled-down exercises to suit my fitness level), while pushing me to improve. And it's an awesome blend of core work, weight training, and endurance. My body and soul are enriched by working with Susan, and you should give her the opportunity to do the same for you!

I have to update my review since there's been changes in ownership. I was hopeful this would…read morecontinue to be somewhere my family and I could go. After the change, my sons came in to work out, using their gym key card, yet Deshae told them to leave & kicked them out. I called to resolve this mistake- however ended up having to go in personally and help them locate our membership. The issue here was how rudely my kids were treated & had to leave the gym w paid memberships & key cards present. Next, I had $1500 worth of prepaid personal training remaining & agreed to allow my kids to switch to a new trainer. As soon as they completed the sessions, I authorized some additional sessions ONCE. Many weeks later, I was fraudulently charged $1000 to my credit card on file. I asked my kids about it & called the gym telling them it was a mistake. I was told it would be refunded. It never was. My youngest son continues to go to the gym& was being allowed to use personal training I had not authorized payment for. TODAY, I was charged another $1000 and immediately called again. I was told that Deshae walked over to the front desk & told Madison to charge my card AGAIN. Deshae is now saying we were on a "recurring" plan for training... which is a lie, but she'll refund the money & that my son still owes for 3 unauthorized training sessions that she will turn him into collections for if he doesn't come in and pay. Keep in mind he was a 16-year-old kid And she's been fraudulently using my credit card without my permission. We didn't sign up for more training & my son is a kid who doesn't keep a tally of how many sessions he has had. When they run out- they should not have rebooked him without his parents consent! My son is fond of his trainer Colton & this is jot any reflection on him. We appreciate Colten's excellent service as he is far more professional and customer service savvy than his manager- Deshae. I would highly recommend not giving this place any credit card information!!

I attended this gym in the pandemic months, I only attended for approximately 6 weeks, during those…read more6 weeks I went 12 times, they billed me every 2 weeks, at that time the MO. mandate stated that everyone must wear a mask, they even had it on the door, which I began to film each time I went in due to people all doing the same thing~ walking through the door with the mask on & then taking it off once they we're through the foyer. There we're rarely people working there. A couple of the clients told me that you don't have to wear a mask inside of the gym, you just have to wear it in through the door, so the next time I saw the person that worked there I asked her if this in fact was true... She said yes, & that's when she notified me that the owner was a nurse & since no one was steady working there the owner said no one had to wear a mask while working out, just in case someone collapsed running with a mask on, & them not being able to breath adequately through the masks she knew there would not be anyone there to call for help. So the only reason they were to wear the mask from the car inside the door was in case the State was monitoring whether or not people were following the mask as mandated by the State of Missouri at that time since they couldn't come in because they didn't have a key fob. That's how they were allowing people to come in to the gym in fact looking like they were wearing mask but in fact taking them off as soon as they came in, needless to say I called left several messages & emailed them, along with wrote a letter and left my key fob inside the door in March of 2021, yet they continued to bill me every two weeks for six weeks after that. They finally stopped billing me, but I never received my 6 weeks worth of payments they continued to take. Today 8/11/2022 I received notification from Transunion that they reported me for $550 to a collection agency. I haven't heard from these people I mean not a word since 3/2021, I never received my six weeks worth of overcharge fees back either. So now a year & almost 6 months later they send me to a collection agency for $550........ WOW!!! I'm assuming that the business isn't doing well , as this should be criminal no matter how desperate a business is. I noticed that there are several new complaints with the Better Business Bureau within the last three months for this location. Thank the good Lord I had the foresight to know to record what I was seeing, & kept copies of everything that I've stated here, including recordings that I made to the office as I was trying to cancel and make sure that they knew I left my key fob there, & they knew why because they weren't following the mask mandate, they were putting peoples health at risk, & now looking back not only that, as if not following State guidelines during a pandemic wasn't bad enough...... Now after over a year and a half out of the blue, sending me to collections trying to ruin someone's credit over frivolous charges, when in fact they owed me a refund is absolutely sickening. Thank the good Lord I kept my documentation. i'll be extremely surprised if this comment stays up for long, anyone reading this I would think twice before joining this gym or even trying it out.

It's definitely NOT a room full of people all doing the same thing at the same time with an instructor at the head of the class! I've had a memberships at other gyms where I would know faces but not people. I mostly kept to myself with my headphones on and that's the way I liked to train. I've come to know some really awesome people over the past year at Kri Chay's and I truly enjoy the camaraderie. Lot's of positive vibes!
