Never again. Went in YESTERDAY early afternoon and paid over $100 for a floral arrangement and balloons to be delivered TODAY for my mentally handicapped niece's birthday. I asked when I could expect delivery. They said sometime after 12. I wound up calling at 3:30 and again at 5:00 wondering where the arrangement was. The delivery guy turned out to be rude when I asked what took him so long. He said he didn't know they had to be delivered by a certain time. He asked when I was told they would be delivered and I told him sometime after 12. He said, "Well, it's after 12." NEVER AGAIN. I'm sure there are plenty of other qualified floral shops in San Marcos that I can order from next time. This place will never get any more of my money. read more

On Saturday, the day before the service, I ordered a funeral flower arrangement. It was for a memorial for dear friend's mother who passed away. For $175 plus tax this is what they put together. On Saturday as soon as the flowers were delivered the funeral home called your flower shop because of how unacceptable the flowers were. They got no answer & left a voice msg. When i walked in to the service on Sunday and saw what was delivered I was appalled. I called the shop on Sunday as soon as I exited the memorial & left a msg. This is beyond disgraceful. To actually put together this arrangement with flowers in such horrible condition is unacceptable. This is embarrassing for me as the giver of these flowers. This shouldn't have happened. On Monday Diana called me to tell me she wasn't there on Saturday & didn't know how the flowers ended up in such bad shape. She refunded half of what I paid. They went to funeral home to re do flower arrangement them took it to the church for the service. I appreciate the effort after the fact but I wish we would have had the proper arrangement for the memorial/viewing. read more

The petals were wilting, there were visible cut missing flowers, holes in the leaves, some of the stems were browning and all of the bottoms of the stems were dried out! I myself have purchased from them, (first and last time), they had limited flower and color selection, plus they are overpriced! Flowers are supposed to make people feel happy, not sad!!! I have received flowers from this place many times, the flowers are not adequate and they are horribly overpriced. Today, I went in to buy a bouquet. The woman behind the desk eventually asked what she could help me with and when I told her she said, "no problem" then the phone rang and instead of asking the caller to hold for a moment while she finished up with me, she spent at least 10 minutes on the phone before I decided I was done waiting. I should also mention that another associate was there as well, they were in the computer the entire time. Buyer Beware! Zero Stars! I wouldn't give Floral Studio any stars if the app would allow. Twice they failed to deliver! The first time I asked for a dozen roses in a vase to be ready on a Friday and that I would either pick it up on Friday or Saturday depending on when my wife would be away in order to surprise her. I went to pick it up on Saturday morning and they couldn't locate the order. Then they came back and said that they had run out of roses that Saturday morning and had to go buy more. I told them the order was supposed to be ready on the previous day and they gave no reason why it wasn't. They had to rob another order to get a dozen roses and then didn't have the vase I ordered. Very disappointed but finally got my order. The second time I ordered another dozen roses to be delivered to the house for my wife's birthday. They never delivered the bouquet. I called and they didn't even offer an apology or a reason but immediately proceeded to ask for my credit card information for a refund. My son is President at the San Marcos Academy who I understand does a lot of business with this shop. I will definitely be talking to him about the lack of professionalism of this store. Never again! Don't waste your time. I can't judge the flower arrangements because I never got to that point. I went and met with Maxine to discuss my wedding. She said she would send me a quote in the next few days. It's been three weeks and still nothing. I called her after two weeks and she said she was busy but will be getting it to me soon. Still nothing. And when I originally went in to discuss my options (which took over an hour) she couldn't even show me samples of her own work so it was hard to get an understanding of what she could do. She was also late and very unorganized. Weddings are stressful enough, and when people don't communicate with you it only makes it worse. I first used The Floral Studio when I was attending a funeral around the corner from the studio; I live in another town. Maxine was such a warm, wonderful person that two weeks later I decided it was worth the drive to order a corsage for my son's girlfriend from there and pick it up. Maxine is an artist! I ordered a simple rose corsage and expected to pick up the same 2 rose/ribbon corsage every florist around sells. Instead, for the same price as those boring corsages, I received the most beautiful corsage I have ever seen, she made it with several miniature roses and even the ribbons were beautifully done.
