The place is very clean, which I think is a plus. Some of the spa places might be a bit ghetto looking, definitely not this one. The staff were very friendly and professional. The staff start off checking my scalp with the machine. Then my massager lead me to the room to prep for session. I believe my massager is Amy. She was really good with my massage. She definitely target my tensed shoulders and trying to break the knots. I really enjoyed that massage. After my 1hr massage, I was asked to sit up while she quickly transform the massage bed to a head spa bed. I thought that was pretty cool because I don't have to get out of the bed and wrap myself around and walk from room to room. The head spa was a little different than my other experience. I believe because Mulan head spa actually use Chinese herbal tea to soak your hair and scalp. I end up falling asleep in and out during my head spa. I'm not sure if it's the Chinese herbal tea or their hair product they use, but after that head spa, my hair feels silky smooth for days! And way less hair knots I get. I do highly recommend trying this place out, especially for their massage. Surely ask for their membership or group packages to get a better deal for your spa.

There is a slight curl, but that's it. I ended up with a really red eye for two days after the second time. The first time there was no head or neck massage. The second time there was, so that was a nice added touch. I might give them another chance to see if I can get the same results as the first time. I feel as though I wasted $95 for the second time; that was the price with the tip.

This is a review of the massage services…read more I desperately needed a massage but on a budget so of course I hit up Groupon. I chose this location because it was close to home. My appointment was for 12:00 on Sunday, which was perfect. It was my birthday weekend and I had plans the day before. I received a call that morning asking if I could move the appointment to 1, which was only slightly inconvenient so I agreed. I arrived at 12:45 as I expected that there would be forms for me to fill out. It's in the great Creek Rd area so you can get a massage and hit some of the local stores and maybe even have lunch. Parking was a bit limited in the front of the salon but I got lucky. I was immediately greeted and given the clipboard to fill out. The only uncomfortable item about this is that as these forms do, it asks medical information. When I returned the form to the salon receptionist she was reading it. Not exactly information that I wanted to share with someone outside of the massage therapist. I don't know if the owner was there as she didn't introduce herself. That would have been nice since I was a new customer. The therapist arrived just slightly before 1:00. I expected he would have been there sooner, especially since it was cold out and cold hands don't make for a fun massage. The Good and Great: Jeremy is an EXCELLENT massage therapist. I've had massages at some of the best places Ritz Carlton, Arizona, Caribbean, etc and he is very talented, attentive, great pressure and communication. I got a swedish and expect that a deep tissue would be even better. After the massage he explained his technique, the benefit of massage, etc. I will likely go back and I've already recommended him to others. The not so great: - So the massage room is at the rear of the salon. If you're looking for a fancy spa experience, this isn't your place. Although he has relaxing music playing you will hear conversations from the salon. I went on a Sunday when there weren't many customers, so it may be louder on a busier day. - The room smelled like hair spray, hair products, etc. It could definitely use an aroma therapy mister. - The room temperature. Since the bed isn't heated the room should be warmer. They need a heater in there during the cooler/cold months. Or heat the oils. But there were definitely moments when it would have been nice to feel warmer.

I've had multiple disappointing experiences at La Blue Nails on 1817 Mt Holly Rd, Burlington, NJ…read more On my most recent visit, I called around 12:25 PM to schedule a fill-in and spoke with Ryan, who told me to come in since they were not busy. I arrived around 1:04 PM. When I got there, I was told one nail tech had already left for the day. I was then told to see Tim, but he said he couldn't take me because he had appointments. However, I had just seen him leaving and returning, and there was no one visibly being serviced at that time. This is not the first issue I've had. On a previous appointment booked in advance with Ryan, I arrived and he was still finishing another client. I was not given the option to wait for him and was instead sent to a newer nail tech, which resulted in my nails being done incorrectly and I was also overcharged. Overall, I've experienced inconsistent communication, poor scheduling coordination, and unsatisfactory service despite booking ahead. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.
