I've had my eye on this place for awhile and finally made the drive. I placed my order via text and when I got there half my order wasn't available. The owner and his son went out of their way to make sure my order wasn't completed and that I left happy. Bad service. Dishonest. Ordered 5 pounds of large claws. When the delivery came, it was clear and obvious that half the claws were barely medium sized (see pic). The owner, Rene told me that the size can be deceiving because it goes by weight not size. Lololo. He then said that he would make it up to me on the next delivery. I placed another order of the following week (yesterday) and Rene refuses to honor his promise. Check out a pic of these "large" claws next to my pinky and a quarter. The Fish Plug! Great service. We pulled up to the bay and were immediately welcomed by the staff. We purchased 5lbs of stone crabs (had cracked) and 20 marine lobster tails. Out of this world deal. I am not sure if this Fish Plug seafood place is a legitimate business or not. they Never answer their phone and I have been trying to call about placing an order for pickup for two months. I left Tampa for a quarterly business trip down to Miami and went by the fish plugs place of business at 2:00 PM on a Wednesday and the place was all locked up. Through the window you can see a lighted open sign but there was nobody to be found. I banged on the locked up door and rang the bell, called , texted many times and after 30 minutes headed out to Ft Lauderdale where by the way I was able to find the lobster tails I was looking for and bought 20 lbs for a much better price than the fish plugs place. So thank you fish plug for allowing me to save money for what I was going to buy from you but apparently you people have no idea on how to run a business or treat customers. And by the way your competitors tails were as fresh at they come. I will be buying from them from now on! You can't sell product if you don't answer your phone and have a locked up storefront during your posted business hours. It's bad business and that makes me not want to do business with irresponsible people that don't care about their poorly run business! Horrible service. Didn't even get a chance to try their stone crab. I live in Oregon and get stone crab delivered atleast four times a year. If I could afford it I would do it more. And this is why when I saw the fish plug prices I was so intrigued. I reached out to the. Over a week ago hoping to get my hands on there large claws. A whole week later and still nothing. They have barely reached out after leaving messages several times. I've called several times and was told they would call back that day with a price. Never did. Honestly just felt like they just don't care. Maybe it's different if you're in the Miami area. I was patient with them hoping to open a door to a continuing customer. I could go on and on. I'm not a Karen I promise. I always look for the positive is places I visit even if it wasn't up to par. So to be fair this review is only based on their service. Awful. What a disappointment. Tried ordering Stonecrabs since Sunday the 15th and was told to call back on Tuesday for a delivery on Thursday the 19th. I sent the information they requested and was told that I would receive a call from the shipping department who would also collect payment. This was not followed up by anyone. I text the their number and receive a text back that they would call today the 18th, Never happened. I called and text today and after calling multiple times I was finally told that they couldn't ship it overnight right now. So what I'm saying is they give you the run around and if your counting on them don't. read more
