After inspection we found that the chimney is in bad shape and needs to be partially taken down and rebuilt. I told him that I was interested in getting an estimate on just taking it down for safety's sake and one for rebuilding it to be functional. A whole month later after numerous phone calls and voicemails I can't get him to respond, so it seems as though he never had any intention of doing the job even though he said he would get me estimates. I wouldn't care if he just told me he wasn't interested in the job, but to just ignore all attempts of contact is a bad way to run a business.

They clearly told us what was working well and what needed adjusted in order for the fireplace to operate safely and quoted us prices for all the work, letting us choose what we wanted them to do, then what we could handle ourselves. They also cleaned up the fireplace and emptied the ash bin which apparently had a record number of bird carcasses in it. Really glad I didn't have to do that! The only reason this is a 4 star instead of 5 review is they were over an hour late for the time range provided. They more than made up for it in service, and I would use them again, but a notification call would've gone a long way.

This winter (2021) I was still having problems and called for service again. They determined that I needed a new remote receiver which they installed. The repairman was not at my home for 15 minutes and I was charged $400 for service call and new remote receiver. Unfortunately, my fireplace is still malfunctioning, so I called another company for service. When dismantling the fireplace, they found the starter, panels and logs were not reinstalled properly in 2020 which was causing the fireplace to malfunction again. I am so disappointed to have been "duped" because I am a senior citizen. I found them to be dishonest in their repairs and in their charges. I am thankful that I found a new fireplace shop who has a high integrity and work ethic. Marge B
