The process from ordering our food to receiving it was quick and seamless. The service was welcoming and friendly. I had the solo nachos, which were enough to share as an appetizer. I also had the BBQ baked potato with brisket, along with a side of mac & cheese and baked beans. I enjoyed everything I had. This is somewhere I would recommend and would return to.

It is the type of restaurant where you order at the counter, they give you a table number and then drop off your food when it's ready. There is indoor seating at tables and a well stocked full bar. Outside seating is also available. We chose inside, in hindsight sight it was a beautiful day and we should have sat outside to avoid smelling like a smokehouse when we left. Our food was very good. I ordered the smoke house salad with smoked turkey and raspberry dressing. My husband ordered the smoked 1/2 chicken with baked beans and potato salad. The salad was very generous and the turkey was moist and delicious. The raspberry dressing was a little too sweet but still good. The chicken thigh was very moist and as would be expected the breast was not as moist. Still good but a little drier. My husband tasted my turkey and said he would make a smoked turkey for Thanksgiving if he could the breast meat as moist as Mike's! All in all a good experience. There is a pretty extensive offering of beers and a very limited wine offering.

Food was delicious & the bartender was very personable and provided excellent service. I had scallops & shrimp Mac & Cheese and it was delicious with very fresh seafood. My daughter had the Pollo Maria and she said very fresh with crispy breading. Our other family member had the flounder, shrimp & grits and it was the probably the tastiest out of all 3 dishes.

Cassie was behind the bar and a true pro at working that whole liquor dispensing thing...Great attitude cause I'm not much of a beer drinker and so I had her run through the entire beer offerings and she did it with grace! Plus I mighta had a more prurient interest cause she had to bend over...Hey! I ain't proud but I am a guy!!! PS She also has a double barreled personality, if you know what I'm saying... Excellent locale right next to Milanos and just a class interior and decor...got a postage stamp stage and I was told they have live music...I have a feeling that if I ever visit this place after dark with a crowd I'll be updating to a 5...however this is a great place for day drinking and I say that because that's all I've ever done here but as stated above I'm sureI I'd love this place after dark!! If in Houma stop in tip an adult beverage and relax!!

I've been to some of the best burlesque and drag shows in the country. I've seen gravity defying,…read moresultry, sophisticated shows in New York. While this is not that . . . it's perfect for New Orleans and the south and has it's own flavor. I loved the show here! Madame Kennedy was the perfect emcee (and also put on a wicked black light bubble show). Some acts were sexy and seductive. Some acts were acrobatic and martial arts based, as Madame Kennedy said, "I'm sure someone is missing their anime character somewhere." There were hula hoops, feathers, and grinders! One act was a woman who put a grinder against a metal plate on her belt and sparks flew everywhere! I also saw my first (as far as I can remember) burlesque by a transgender man. It was so much fun! We did the reserved tickets, so we got a table right up front. There isn't a bad seat in the house, but I really prefer being in the center of the action. Doors open at 6:30 for a 7 PM show, but ours was running late (we didn't mind). They have a basic bar with decent prices. They also do dance classes, varying show themes, comedy routines, and more. So you'll always be able to see something different.

The whole production was visually stunning and engaging. Angie Z has not only a beautiful style of dance, but her voice was incredible! We were all just sucked in by her and by all the dancers that night. Remember to bring money for tips and it doesn't just have to be dollar bills. Big bills are appreciated too but very well deserved! It was classy, nostalgic and titillating. Burlesque is an art and it takes dedication to do it right. You can tell how much heart they all had for this production. Really enjoyed the experience, would definitely recommend to others.

You may have…read moreknown it by it's prior name, Baton Rouge Little Theater, but either way- it's quite good. I have experienced well over 50 shows there as a patron and volunteer. The production standards are quite high for a place that relies on volunteers for their pool of talent. They put on over 10 shows a season, including musicals and plays that were on Broadway just a few years prior. The theater itself holds less than 300 patrons, so there's not really a bad seat in the house. They also have a smaller space next door where they put on more avant-garde pieces, which seats around 100. The ticket prices are in line with expectations and a fraction of what you'd pay for the same show in NY.

Ronald Coats is one of the funniest actors they have. And Marion B sings amazing. The costumes are always authentic and the sets have great detail put into them. Every Halloween they put on Rocky Horror picture show. Christmas they do A Christmas Carol. The summer musical is usual great for kids. Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast were great. They do a variety of plays from dramas, comedy's, musicals and suspense. The theater does have a bar, so before the show and at intermission you can grab a drink. I enjoy my nights at the theater and will continue to be a member for a long time.
