    Great photo spot!

I photographed a wedding here earlier this spring and it is such a gorgeous venue. Some of the nicest staff and people that work at this venue. And seriously the best wedding food I have had and I have been to over 100 weddings! There is some limitations for photos since the venue is on the smaller side, but I love the funky velvet couches they have. Can't wait to go back here again!

We got married at The Fig House last month and we had a great experience! Kevin was our venue coordinator and he was very helpful and communicative. He even organized a private tasting for us since we were planning the wedding from a different state. Everything went perfectly the day of! The food and drinks were amazing and the space was great for our guest count (about 120). I highly recommend The Fig House if you're looking for an indoor/outdoor venue with great food! We were married at The Fig House in March! We had a lovely experience -- Kevin was our venue coordinator and he was extremely thoughtful and communicative. The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed (from the visit to the tasting to the actual wedding day). Adrienne was our designated day-of staffer and she was an angel. The food was DIVINE, and we are still getting compliments on it from our guests. The only hiccup was that the dinner service ran 45 minutes late, but The Fig House accommodated our event to ensure we could still have our full party. Definitely recommend The Fig House for your dreamy, garden venue wedding!

The Fig House and their team are incredible. Our event specialist Leti was extremely communicative and helpful the entire time. The fact that so many elements are bundled with the venue eliminated the need to juggle tons of vendors, and for the vendors we did bring in, the Fig house made working with them a breeze. If you're researching this venue, you've seen the pictures. It looks incredible and feels intimate. The food was excellent. We still get compliments on it months after our wedding, and the cocktails/bartenders were fantastic. I'm a tiki nerd and we provided recipes for some custom cocktails. I was stoked to learn that they did not cut any corners--all ingredients and spirits were quality. The staff are total professionals but most importantly, they have an amazing energy about them. Just good vibes all night! We live in Highland Park and drive by the area all the time. When we do, we only have great memories of our experience at The Fig House. We can't recommend this venue and staff enough.

We really appreciate all the hard work Leti and the entire Fig House team put in to making our wedding the most amazing day ever. We had postponed four times due to COVID (finally had our wedding June 2022) and the Fig House worked with us to reschedule and to make sure that our day was everything we wanted and more! Everything went perfectly, and we got so many compliments about the venue, the food, the drinks, and everything else. Literally every person told us this was the best wedding they'd ever been to, and your team's incredibly hard work contributed to that.

My husband and I got married at The Fig House Aug 2021. I researched every venue imaginable in LA, Malibu, and South Bay, and we landed on the Fig House and wouldn't have it any other way! Here's why: - The venue has an amazing color pallette and lots of cool furniture to work with. - They are a one stop shop for catering and alcohol - Their food presentation is beautiful and one of a kind. We did their "activation station" where a chef "paints" on a white table and builds out the appetizer of your choosing. Guests can enjoy watching their appetizer get created and eat what looks like a work of art! Guests LOVED this and were all talking about how beautiful it was! We also got their "nachos in the gutter" which was exactly what it sounds like... a "rain gutter" filled with nachos that is carried out to the dance floor as a late night snack! - They have a "secret" room you can choose to use for a whiskey tasting, fortune teller, cigar roller, etc. We did tarot card reading in there and it was a huge hit! - They brought us our cocktails and all of our apps after the ceremony so we could enjoy them and have a moment alone, which was so sweet. - Staff was very responsive and flexible working with some of our specific ideas. We worked with Leti and she was amazing! Guest raved about the unique look and the delicious food! Seriously, who mentions the food at a wedding? It's usually so bland and forgettable, but with Fig House that is not the case. The only downside is that you have to use their valet service and it is very expensive. It's a flat fee, even though we only had a handful of guests who were driving. I wish they were more open to negotiating a per-car rate. If I were to do it all over again, I'd definitely choose Fig House for my wedding venue.

The valets really love to put those cones into traffic. It messes with the flow and you have to swerve to dodge them. Not safe.

It sat vacant for a few years and briefly reopened as a performing arts space in 2013 but was forced to shut down. After being declared a historic monument, it underwent a complete renovation by new owners in 2015. The building changed hands again in 2023 and functions as an event center and a shared common workspace. This three-story venue has rooms upstairs. Downstairs is the main room with lofty ceilings, large windows, wood floors, a kitchen, bathrooms, and a stage for a DJ or live bands. Downstairs is a speakeasy style bar and the backyard is also a nice spot for an outdoor reception. I've driven by this place numerous times thinking it was just a church. I recently saw that there was a Holiday Market Place being held here so I stopped in to do some shopping. There was a man on the front lawn making pupusas and people sitting at tables enjoying them. Inside is quite spacious and there were several vendors selling their merchandise. The tables were nicely spaced apart, so it was easy to browse. This realty is a nice spot for an event or to use as a shared workspace. *Street parking only.

CRATES. they barely had any garbage disposals for us to clean. main thing was the workers under the company look lazy and rude. if we didn't clean, they would keep the deposit. I don't think a reception of that size would be overlooked by the host and simply wasn't disclosed that significant detail. for the price of a different venue with all services for cleanup, seems like it's better to go somewhere else. plus, no parking and it's only street. interesting space but pass.

Last night I went to Buck Meek's show at the Ebell in Highland Park. In spite of promises of accessibility on the venue's website, when I got there, the security guard had no idea how to access the ramp; everyone in line was filed up a set of difficult stairs. I would have pressed the issue but I wanted to make sure I got a good spot where I and my girlfriend and I could see (we ended up not being able in I see anyway). I tripped twice. The ramp should be readily available for use. I had called earlier in the day to see if there was any seating and to their credit, someone working there was able to give my girlfriend and I chairs. But as often happens, he put us off to the side where we couldn't see at all (why do the tallest people always stand in front?). Then I went to the bathroom. The website had promised an accessible bathroom but it wasn't accessible, not even a little bit. The stall was cramped and the floor was soaking wet. I have experienced this and more in LA, more times than I care to count. When are artists, promoters, and managers going to hold venues accountable and make their shows accessible to ALL their fans?

There is also a lovely grassy area in the center where you can sit, relax, or have a small picnic. Geese walk freely around the gardens, and colorful parrots fly overhead, adding even more charm to the atmosphere. In April, the garden looks especially stunning -- the pergola and trees are in full bloom (I wish I remembered the names of those gorgeous flowers!), and the whole place feels alive and magical. Honestly, this garden is beautiful in any season of the year. You can come here with dogs, which is a big plus, but it's important to respect the property rules: pets must be on a leash, owners are responsible for cleanup, professional photography requires a permit, and activities like skateboarding, drinking alcohol, or organized sports events are not allowed. These rules help preserve the calm and cleanliness of the space. There is also a secondary school located on the property, which adds to the unique character of the place. Parking-wise, we were able to find free street parking nearby without any issues. This is a perfect spot to slow down, enjoy nature, and escape the city noise for a while.
