We had our wedding at The Fig House and had a really great experience. Shae, the manager, was very kind and patient throughout the whole process. She helped us with everything from the venue tour and contract to the menu, tasting, rehearsal, and all the details leading up to the wedding. We really appreciated her help and kindness. The venue itself is also very beautiful, so even without adding too much decoration, it already looks great. On our wedding day, we unexpectedly had a heavy rain shower. We weren't really prepared for the rain, but the Fig House team did their best to make sure we could still have our outdoor ceremony as planned. The staff worked really hard, and thanks to them, we were able to enjoy our wedding without much trouble. Very cute wedding venue. It looks much bigger than it actually is because of a strategic mirror placement. I attended a wedding here in August and it was very quaint and cute. I loved the trees in the outdoor ceremony section and it was great that it was shaded. Indoors it gets a little crowded for the reception, but it works. Dance floor is spacious and the whole thing is just very cute. They have valet parking which is great. Location is easy to find - I love that it's in between Pasadena, Glendale, and Downtown. From the moment I stepped into The Fig House, I knew it was where the wedding was going to be. It was an already an incredible and gorgeous space, but since 24 carrots had taken over, it has gone above and beyond. They upgraded furniture, updated the bridal suite, and provided the most exceptional catering and bartending services. We were honestly so grateful to have them be a huge part of our special day. The transition from our original contract to the new contract was so seamless. It was almost as if nothing had ever changed in the first place, the professionalism, the courtesy of everyone involved was just so incredibly nice and accommodating, we couldn't have asked for a better result. Shae was our venue manager and she was so understanding, willing, appreciative, and a genuine energy that made us feel like we were in amazing hands and it was more than we could've asked for. We got married at the Fig House in November 2025, and had an amazing day with great food and hospitality provided by the staff. Our event manager Shae was extremely responsive, professional, and helpful as we closed in on final details and configuration for the day. The lead server Josh was great at both the menu tasting and making sure our event ran smoothly, and they also accommodated some of our guests with gluten allergies. We really enjoyed the food and received many compliments about it from our guests. Since it was raining pretty heavily on our wedding day, we especially appreciated their flexibility in adjusting the layout to conduct everything indoors, and giving us a reasonable time window for that decision. As the team/venue transitioned to being operated by 24Carrots, we were notified and given a lot of latitude in terms of menu options - so we appreciated that professionalism on their part. We didn't have any issues bringing in multiple outside vendors for snacks and activities, and the Fig House worked with us and our day-of coordinator to make sure the everything went smoothly (it did). The bartenders were great, and super friendly, and they helped us make great use of the "cabin" in the back corner as well - which was a hit. They even had chaperones with umbrellas to help guests in between the buildings. All in all, the venue is beautiful with great indoor and outdoor space, and the overall operation and catering services by 24Carrots were wonderful. I highly recommend them for your event. read more

My sister passed away unexpectedly. We were scrambling to try and find somewhere to host her Celebration of Life. The Fig House came up in my google search and I thought there would be no way they would have availability or would be able to stay in my budget. The team bent over backwards to accommodate both. They were so helpful before, during, and after the service. Our friends and family kept saying how beautiful the venue was, and it really is so cool and eclectic. Both the outside and inside is clearly well maintained. All of our guests commented how good the food was and it was all done in house, so it made things so easy. My fiancé and I had a tour at Fig House with Shae and were pretty disappointed with it. After arriving a couple of minutes early and following the noted directions, we were met with a guide who lacked enthusiasm and interest in engaging with us and selling the venue. The entire tour took about 20 minutes, where my fiance and I were given what we felt was the bare minimum information on the venue and what they offered. We have been on tours before, so we were expecting to receive more information. Shae was not a personable host nor a very informative guide. From previous experiences, we were expecting her to ask more questions about what we wanted for our special day or to take notes. To be honest, she seemed standoffish and made us uncomfortable because it felt like she was uncomfortable. We were unsure if she didn't know how to give a proper tour, if she didn't want to specifically give US a tour, or if she was otherwise distracted and not present. Finally, my fiance and I expressed interest in having Cuban and Argentinian elements to our reception, and Shae kept referring to it as "cultural food," which to us said... a lot. We were a bit put off by that. We wanted to write this review because, although it is a nice venue, it's essential to have your first impression of it be a positive one. The Fig House and their team are incredible. Our event specialist Leti was extremely communicative and helpful the entire time. The fact that so many elements are bundled with the venue eliminated the need to juggle tons of vendors, and for the vendors we did bring in, the Fig house made working with them a breeze. If you're researching this venue, you've seen the pictures. It looks incredible and feels intimate. The food was excellent. We still get compliments on it months after our wedding, and the cocktails/bartenders were fantastic. I'm a tiki nerd and we provided recipes for some custom cocktails. I was stoked to learn that they did not cut any corners--all ingredients and spirits were quality. The staff are total professionals but most importantly, they have an amazing energy about them. Just good vibes all night! We live in Highland Park and drive by the area all the time. When we do, we only have great memories of our experience at The Fig House. My husband and I got married at The Fig House Aug 2021. I researched every venue imaginable in LA, Malibu, and South Bay, and we landed on the Fig House and wouldn't have it any other way! Here's why: - The venue has an amazing color pallette and lots of cool furniture to work with. - They are a one stop shop for catering and alcohol - Their food presentation is beautiful and one of a kind. We did their "activation station" where a chef "paints" on a white table and builds out the appetizer of your choosing. Guests can enjoy watching their appetizer get created and eat what looks like a work of art! Guests LOVED this and were all talking about how beautiful it was! We also got their "nachos in the gutter" which was exactly what it sounds like... a "rain gutter" filled with nachos that is carried out to the dance floor as a late night snack! - They have a "secret" room you can choose to use for a whiskey tasting, fortune teller, cigar roller, etc. We did tarot card reading in there and it was a huge hit! - They brought us our cocktails and all of our apps after the ceremony so we could enjoy them and have a moment alone, which was so sweet. - Staff was very responsive and flexible working with some of our specific ideas. We worked with Leti and she was amazing! Guest raved about the unique look and the delicious food! Seriously, who mentions the food at a wedding? It's usually so bland and forgettable, but with Fig House that is not the case. The only downside is that you have to use their valet service and it is very expensive. It's a flat fee, even though we only had a handful of guests who were driving. I wish they were more open to negotiating a per-car rate. If I were to do it all over again, I'd definitely choose Fig House for my wedding venue. read more

The process of touring, booking, and planning was very organized and we felt respected and cared for the entire time. We definitely recommend this venue. It is beautiful, with an incredible vibe that needed very little additional décor. It was also so comforting to have both indoor and outdoor options in a year where it has rained so much! The best part about The Fig House is that they do so many things in house. It really simplified the process and gave us piece of mind that we wouldn't run out of drinks! The service was impeccable. My husband and I got married at The Fig House this past May, and although our wedding day was lovely, the aftermath we had to deal with was horrendous. We had a beautiful time on our big day, but the week after our wedding once we returned from our honeymoon we had realized a few of our gifts (cards with cash and checks written to cash) were stolen from the property. After a long back and forth with the Fig House Director of Operations (about four months), we requested that we get reimbursed for the money that was stolen on our wedding day. We were met with a long winded email back about how they were not liable, asking if we had "accused her [our wedding coordinator] of stealing your gifts", and stating that "We don't have enough information to determine whether there was a theft at your wedding." This note back was disheartening for more reasons than one. We had given all the information we had regarding the cards that went missing on their property, we had done our due diligence with reaching out to the banks that the checks were from, we dug into details of the day with our wedding coordinator, and among many other tasks we had requested that The Fig House share their security footage - which they were slow respond on. The Fig House's coordinator, SueJean was great upfront as we were planning our wedding, but once it was over and we had started asking questions, the team went pretty silent on us for a while. This meant constant follow up emails and calls to get a simple response. Please note that security on the night of your event is required by the venue, so we were even more disappointed to hear that they were unable to protect our items with this mandatory cost/resource in place. They also flagged that "[Their] insurance carrier does not cover loss of personal property nor does The Fig House." We were asking to be repaid for less than 8% of what we had paid for the venue, but they were not compliant. The Fig House failed to provide a holistic, positive experience for us and for that I wouldn't recommend this venue to anyone else. Our guests, friends, and family are all aware of the incident and equally aligned with not using this venue in the future. I'm writing this review as a forewarning to anyone that may want to book here. Again, we had a beautiful wedding, but the aftermath we had to deal with was not worth it. read more

Reviewing from a wedding vendor standpoint. The Fig House was a bucket list venue of mine to photograph. 2016 I was honored to document a wedding there. Initially drawn to this place due to how gorgeous it is but was pleasantly suprised at how nice and accommodating their staff and catering are. From the get-go the day-of coordinators were welcoming and available to answer any questions we had. I won't name any specific venues but sometimes as a vendor you are treated not so nicely. Sometimes we don't even get silverware to eat our meal with. At The Fig House they had us eat our vendor meals in a pretty and private dining area. On top of that our meal from their in-house catering, Room Forty, was delicious. We were ready and energized in no time for a few more hours of photographing our lovely clients. Thank you Fig House for even treating us vendors nicely. If they treat us this well I can only imagine how well they treat a wedding client. There is a saying about how someone treats their servers (in our case, photographers) can reveal a lot about your personality. Fig House is 5 stars all the way! read more

Getting married is the best thing that has happened to me. Planning a wedding is not. Fig House made planning a wedding 100x easier. 1. The facility is a decoration in itself. It is unique and colorful- so it doesn't need a lot of decorations. 2. They have done this 100x and have a great network of vendors to refer you too. And since the vendors have already worked at the Fig House they know what they are doing. 3. The staff is soon helpful. Although I don't know why their voicemail box is full and no one ever picks up their line. i always had to email them to call me- which they did. 4. The wedding went smoothly and their team was there prepared to help in any way possible. My first time here on a Saturday night (1/7/2017) for the wedding of a friend's son. I had never heard of this place and was a bit surprised when I found out the location; i.e., northeast L.A. Upon arrival, my concerns were muted immediately by a professional valet parking staff and a very nice ambiance to the outdoor and indoor facility. The wedding service was outside. The wedding party had contracted for tents and heaters due to the chance of rain and the temperatures being on the nippy side; at least for L.A. (low sixties). If I am to understand correctly, The Fig House provided the wedding meal and service. Both the food and the staff serving the meals, appetizers and charcuterie tables were well trained, professional, courteous and efficient. The food, itself, was very good. I would have no problem recommending this venue for a wedding event, if ever asked. read more

Prepare to have a meal better than what some of LA's best restaurants could serve you. Attended a wedding/reception of roughly 200 people. The location is south Pasadena between Eagle Rock and Highland Park area and is tucked away behind a gate not clearly marked. We passed it up the first time. There is NO parking other than valet. If you're uncomfortable with valet in this area, this is not the place for you and your guest. The valet personnel were professional, well-staffed and cars were brought up quickly when leaving. Women's Bathroom is staffed and there is a tree with items such as spot removal towels Band-Aids, safety pins, needle & thread, petc. on a tray for guest use. Through the green gate you go to a beautiful outdoor garden area that was set for dinner. Very nice with different table shapes and sizes. No chairs which means chairs will most likely be used from the wedding area. My wedding planner instinct tells me that. Moving inside for the wedding (this was a one-stop event) with a bar and lounge with a 40's feel; semi-circular sofas, tugged chairs, etc. WEDDING: The wedding area is concrete, green walls with large abstract pictures. The chairs! Wooden with NO CUSH! Absolutely horrible ! I'll include a photo of them later. No average size person was comfortable and the balancing act to not fall getting up. Please, assist the elderly because the chairs are wobbly. Little kids would be comfortable. Wedding was great! RECEPTION: The same chairs folded and carried by staff and placed at dining tables. Staff is excellent, attentive and fast. Every time a person left their chair their napkin was refolded and placed at their setting. Food:appetizers were good, nice variety, sliders seem to be favored; Cobb salad with large slice of avocado and chicken with biscuit. Chicken was tender but biscuit could be replaced with something else. Portions were okay for me but most men felt it was small. Wedding planner notes: - Traffic control is crucial, guest are apt to run into the bride in the one restroom for the facility. - No nice background for bridal shots, something should be brought in. The walls are so green it puts the bridal party in a different light. Inside the lounge area is nice for some photos. It doesn't offer enough of a variety for formal and informal bridal shots. read more

I truly, completely, absolutely cannot recommend the Fig House more highly. This one venue checks so many impossible boxes. Are you looking for a beautiful indoor/outdoor space with a genuine focus on truly good food? Stop reading and run-do-not-walk to the Fig House. We really wanted to find a venue that had a beautiful outdoor space for a ceremony but that also had an indoor space more unique than your standard 'hotel ballroom,' and the Fig House over-delivers on both - the outdoor garden is truly beautiful and the indoor space with its teal walls and gorgeous stained glass is a funky art deco dreamland. It is compact without feeling small - easy to navigate and handicap accessible, and it allows for a great flow during your event, plus they have really colorful lounge furniture that they let you move around (plus air conditioning, plus nice bathrooms, the list goes on). Where this venue really goes above and beyond is the food - Room Forty catering and Pharmacie bar set out very intentionally to be a cut above typical 'event catering' and truly they are LA 100 Best Restaurants level. If food is important to you, I cannot stress enough that this is your venue!!! Wedding planning is a stressful process, but communicating with the team at the Fig House (Leti, Kevin, Shauna) was an absolute breeze. They say that they are happy to help you customize the food menu and they are not lying - we threw a lot of crazy ideas at them and they responded to all of them with not only professionalism but such genuine enthusiasm and passion. I am pretty sure I researched every single venue in the SoCal area, and I could not be happier that we went with the Fig House. It made our day so memorable and magical. I came here a few days ago for a wedding and was impressed. You'd never realize or notice this place from the street. Once inside though, you'll see a beautifully furnished venue. I'd say it can comfortably fit about 200 people. There were two bars serving drinks ( a secret one hidden in a back shed!) FOOD The food surprised me. It wasn't anything too fancy or over the top but it was all good. Pretty solid. The salad was perfectly dressed and tasted great. The beef entree was really tender. The chicken entree was surprisingly moist and tender as well. I didn't try too many of the appetizers that were handed out in the beginning but the slider I had was pretty good! PARKING limited street parking. Valet is not bad here. But I did notice that a lot of people uber'd so that could've also played a part. read more

We had our wedding on July 16, 2021 at The Fig House (TFH). TFH is an oasis in Los Angeles. Upon entering the property, you are immediately greeted by the lush hedges and greenery that make the perfect backdrop for a wedding ceremony. We fell in love with the courtyard because of the decorative flooring and romantic landscaping where we had our wedding ceremony right under the pepper tree. With all the plentiful landscaping, you do not need much to decorate for your event. The property also features an indoor space that we used for our wedding reception with slider doors that creates an indoor-outdoor atmosphere for cocktail hour. We were also drawn to the stained-glass motif since it fit perfectly with the vision of our wedding. While TFH has great bones, the highlight of the experience is the friendly and experienced staff who guided and assisted us throughout the process, especially during the pandemic. Shauna is a great event coordinator who was responsive, professional, and accommodating. We also highly recommend TFH's in-house wedding coordinator. Lydia was organized, always on top of things, and in constant communication with all our wedding vendors to ensure everything went smoothly and according to schedule on our wedding day. Another highlight of TFH was the food and drinks provided by roomforty and Pharmacie, the in-house food and beverage caterers. When we reminisce with our wedding guests, they still fondly remember the food, crafted cocktails, and the meal presentation. We had four-star restaurant quality food and not the usual catering fare. Ask for the menu because they are more than happy to cater to the needs of your event and palate and there is something for everyone. The cocktails were reminiscent of what you would get at a speakeasy and the beverages were meticulously crafted to our liking. We selected this venue for its location, inclusivity, style, and incredible handicap accessibility (there are NO stairs, elevation changes, or tight passages in the entire place). The experience of planning our wedding here was pretty good - We worked with Leti who was, in general, quick to respond, professional, and very experienced with hosting weddings. She also worked with us to make sure we were getting the event we wanted within our budget and offered a couple of key discounts for decisiveness, which we greatly appreciated!! Overall, we would have preferred more communication and a more collaborative approach where we had more conversations about the vibe we were trying to create, what all the options are, etc. etc. It basically felt like you tour, ask a few questions, book, do a tasting, give a guest count, have one meeting...and then it's your wedding! But, this is a pretty minor gripe and I am assuming that the terseness or lack of options presented at times represents the venue coordinators' understanding of budgetary limitations and not wanting to set expectations that can't be met within the stated budget. In the end, our wedding was beautiful and basically perfect and we were very, very happy with our choice of venue and would recommend the Fig House to others planning similarly major events. Our single meaningful complaint is that on the day of our wedding, Leti was no where to be found and had not communicated to us nor to our coordinator that she would not be on site. We had no direct contact or previous introduction to the event lead for the venue. Because of this, there were some hiccups with our arrival and the arrival of our vendors in the very short set-up time that caused the only major stress of what was otherwise a pretty perfect day. Luckily, myself, my mother, my MOH and our coordinator are all event and project management pros, so we just sorted it out ourselves... But, as a bride, I would have preferred to not have this experience, which felt like everything might just go to h*ll at the last minute, on my wedding day. Our guests also noted that many of the servers and other staff seemed new to the venue, so some elements of service were not as smooth as they should have been, but that this did not meaningfully detract from their experience. Overall both my husband and I, our families, and our guests loved the venue - For COVID safety, we held the majority of the wedding outdoors in the gorgeous courtyard and the flip from ceremony to reception was pretty seamless and impressive. Having the entire interior reception space for dancing and lounging meant we could easily spread out and get down without feeling like we were on top of each other, a total bonus in a contagious time! (Please note - no amplified sound is allowed outdoors after 9PM.) The food and drinks were excellent and plentiful and we received a ton of compliments on both. Pros: - Venue is all inclusive with great in house catering and bar service - Handicap friendly - Colorful, well designed, has lots of lounge furniture to set up cute vignettes for lounging, and photographs beautifully - Food and drinks are fantastic - Great venue for an old Hollywood, mid-century, colorful-glam vibe - Communication is solid, but not amazing - Costs are completely reasonable when compared to other venues with similar aesthetics, especially as many of those DO NOT include furniture, tableware, catering, and bar in house - Having these elements included is absolutely key to reducing stress in planning! Cons: - Not one single piece of art or mirror in the entire place was hanging straight on any of our visits or on the day of the wedding and this lack of attention to details applies to the care and cleanliness of all of the cool vintage furniture pieces as well. If I worked here, I'd have someone steaming, lint-rolling, magic-erasing, and straightening pictures before EVERY event. I have been to this venue a few times! The place itself is very cool. They have a terrific outside area and the inside is very modern and well kept. The Fig House definitely lives up to its reputation of being a fun and whimsical space. My fiancee and I were considering having our wedding here, but we found another venue to be a better fit for us. However, I am rating this place 5 stars simply because of their service. We had a soft hold at The Ruby Street and the hold was up in a day. We were deciding between these two venues and I called The Fig House to see if they can fit in a tour with us since we have to make a decision really soon. I was shortly in contact with SueJean and she was incredibly gracious to take us on a tour after hours so that she can help us out with our time sensitive decision. I ran into traffic on the way there and was almost about half an hour late. I felt sooo awful because I knew SueJean was already staying late at work, but when I ran in, she was so warm, welcoming and incredibly friendly. She made my fiancee and I feel so welcomed even though we were so late to our appointment! We were so thankful for her grace to us in that. She gave us a very thorough walk through of the venue, and later sat down with us to go over logistics, photos of previous weddings and answer any questions we had. She also gave us time to be by ourselves so that we can take our time to soak in the space. She even gave us a hot drink! It made us love the venue and we felt so valued as potential clients. I can only imagine how well they would've taken care of us as clients on our wedding day. Overall excellent service from an excellent venue. Other staff members at The Fig House were also very quick to respond to emails and was so accommodating to my many questions and customization of our wedding. It's so great to see a venue value their clients especially because a wedding is a huge event for anyone! Nice place for any social gathering. The outdoors area is great for outdoor reception. There are trees all around for privacy. It is located on a busy street right across from a school. I parked on the street I didn't see that they had any parking except for valet parking. read more

Well Designed, Trendy, Hipster, Fashionable" spots. Its NOT good for emceeing. This review is for all the wedding Emcees. Due to the noise ordinances they have, you can't have speakers outside during dinner. I was holding the mic far from me and I was YELLING while emceeing so people in the back could hear. Still, No one in the back could hear. There are some stand up comedy bits, you CANNOT do unless you have full command of the room. We had to crank up the volume on the inside speakers so we could blow all the Grandma and Grandfather's EARS out and people in the outside back area still couldn't hear. MC's nightmare. One of the most difficult spots to MC if they have dinner outside. As a wedding MC, I would give it two stars, but the staff that works there is great. Very helpful and professional. If you don't care about having a good MC, then this place is 5 stars. If you do care about your MC trying to entertain your crowd, then its 2 Stars. Great, beautiful party venue.
