I have found that Raw cheeses are incredible for my gut biome and raw milk is a superfood! My grandparents and Mom had dairy cows on their little farm and the advantage this gave them with their energy and vitality was amazing. I read a book about curing cavities with raw milk that was inspired by Dr Weston Price. I love having these choices.

Run far away from any dentist who might tell you otherwise, not that you'd find any with a license. What it can give you, however, is E. coli, Salmonella, Campylobacter, Listeria, Brucella, Cryptosporidium, tuberculosis, and Avian Influenza (H5N1) resulting in paralysis, kidney failure, and death. Pasteurized milk contains the same amount of nutrients and is proven to be close to 900x safer than unpasteurized dairy which has resulted in at least hundreds of thousands of known deaths throughout history. Before widespread pasteurization, milkborne outbreaks constituted 25% of all food and water based illnesses. Do not give Sprouts your business until they remove these dangerous products from their shelves and continue to profit off of misinformation and social media influencer based trends that they know are harmful to consumers.

Every time I'm back in VA on a Saturday I make sure to stop by the Reston Farmer's Market. They've…read moregot some of the best produce in the area. The apples and pears are especially fantastic so I recommend trying and buying some since there are samples of most. If you go right around when it opens it's not too crazy but by 9am it's pretty crowded and I don't recommend parking in (or near) the lot itself. I'm addicted to carbs, so the real reason for my trip is always the bakeries that are tucked into the back of the market next to the lake itself. Nordic Knots has a "Pretzel Croissant" that's amazing. It's basically a really flakey, crisp croissant washed with lye and topped with pretzel salt to give it that real "pretzel" flavor. The pretzels themselves are fine, but the croissant is the pro move. They go quick with some aunties lining up 15 minutes before they open (which is always a bit late). My Cravingz is my true destination and it's basically the last stall in the marked (coming from the parking lot). The Turkish bakery has a cafe in Manassas but there are a few things you can only get here. The guy is always super friendly and is happy to explain the good to anyone unsure. My go-to breakfast is a cheese açma and coffee with a simit and nutella pogaça to go. The açma is one of the best pastries I've ever had. Flakey and buttery like a croissant but with a bit more chew and stuffed to the gills with high-quality feta. They'll warm it up for you on the spot, which I highly recommend if you're eating it there. If you're looking for a heavier breakfast of lunch the borek is great but a bit much for me that early.

I flew to DC for an end of life celebration, looking for something to take to share because grandma said you don't show up with just your hat in your hand. I was blown away at the number of produce vendors. We have a large market at the Pearl in San Antonio and lucky to see two or three produce vendors with limited selection. Parking is the most challenging aspect here. I didn't even try the surface lot as it looked packed. I was able to find street parking a few blocks away. This market must have had at least a dozen produce vendors. And the selection was incredible. The vegetables and tomatoes looked incredible. But I was flying back and could not enjoy them. I did buy some cherries and strawberries to share with the local family. They were so fresh and everyone enjoyed them.

So after meeting her local in person (and following her story for years before) I started going to whole foods again! This time in Reston location was to pick up more Unami sauce and some burts bee lip blam (cold season). While there, they have amazing fresh meals prepared and it allowed me and my lil to each choose our own meal for the day something we'd both love. I tried the spicy salmon on top of rice with side of veggies. The lil... well choose a pizza slice... then proceeded to eat half my rice and complain my salmon was too spicy lol. Memories to remember :) Will be back!

This meant that we…read morecould now walk there, so we wouldn't have to deal with the horrible parking situation at Plaza America. Like others who have also reviewed the new one, I, too, envisioned it would be like the ones in Fair Lakes and Ashburn. But, alas, no :( Still, it is far better than the old location. While this one doesn't offer any seating areas where one can order food, it is more spacious. Thus, their produce section is larger than the meat and seafood sections. Although they brag about having a huge cheese selection, it's about the same size as it was before. The problem regarding the size of the place is most likely because Reston doesn't have a spot for a huge store. Unless they were to find a plot of land in a good location, then build a free-standing one. That would be pricey! We think the aisle signs could be better labeled. For example, we wanted to get some tofu, but despite wandering around, I couldn't find it. Finally, I saw an employee and asked him. He directed me to a refrigerated case that was near the bakery and sushi counter. Otherwise, we found everything we wanted to get. So, yes, we will return...but not to do all our shopping there. They don't call it "Whole Paycheck" for nothing.
