She read good things and the hours were perfect for us to stop in on a beautiful Saturday morning in August. They are open every Saturday morning, April through December from 8am-12pm. We arrived about 10am and it was very busy. The main parking lot was full and there was a small line of cars trying to find parking spots. We continued on to the overflow parking area closer to the river bank and there was plenty of parking available. We walked up to the location of the market which is a covered area providing shelter from inclement weather and the hot summer sun. The variety of the different booths is diverse. Everything from fresh vegetables, canned salsas, jams and jellies, baked goods, pottery, frozen meat, and fresh flower bouquets. We enjoyed seeing all the various items and ultimately bought a package of six S'mores cookies which were incredibly delicious! It's been quite some time since we've been to a farmers market and this is a great one. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

I came here for the first time for a community event called Prayer and Purpose. I have a ministry…read moreto those battling addiction and know first hand the power in prayer, it really can change the trajectory of someone's life for good. Several powerful testimonies were shared from women who had gone through the House of Pearl's recovery program. Their testimonies of recovery from addiction are truly inspiring. The event was hosted outdoors. Refreshments were generously offered to all who attended this event. There was prayer, testimonies of recovery, and a beautiful song of worship at the end. I left inspired. I was given materials from the House of Pearl's booth which I will be sure to utilize to the women God brings across my path. The house is beautiful and historic and I look forward to visiting again during business hours. Also, I minister on a free 24/7 prayer line : 866-987-7729 please call any time for prayer. I highly recommend the strawberry tea...taste like summer. We started with the cheese ball sampler. Not my fav as the flavors were not there. It came with 3 mini cheese balls; pimento, goat cheese and a garden veg with pineapple (IKR). Again, great presentation but none of the cheese balls had much flavor to match the name. For entrees we opted for the chicken salad sandwich, the chicken pot pie and the country chicken casserole. My sister loved the chicken salad, my mom just ate most of the filling of the pot pie, I was not a fan of the casserole (one note, no veggies and everything was mushy except the "herb" bread crumbs on top). Next time I will stick to tea and the lovely finger sandwiches and room for the lovely desserts from the bake shop.
