Beautiful pieces at reasonable prices…read more This is not a Goodwill, so don't expect the pieces to be cheap. What's funny is we were just at Goodwill so I saw a glass jar that was similar to one I found at Goodwill, it was $8 at Goodwill and $34 there. However, that was the only piece I found at Goodwill, whereas here there were so many beautiful pieces. You really can't compare the two, so I'll stop here, but I just wanted to make that clear. I've been into helping the environment recently, so I want to buy secondhand pieces when I can. We were looking for a vase. I ended up finding a gorgeous shell shaped vase. They actually had two, but one had a crack on one side, which is why it was discounted by $50. I decided to go for the non cracked one, which was $140. I think this is reasonable for the quality and it's a statement piece. I saw tons of other items that I loved. There was a standing desk for around $350 and a lot of benches and tables all in the couple of hundred dollar range. Again, not cheap, but definitely less expensive than they probably were when they were new. The guy working there was really nice and helpful. Parking was easy on both sides of the building. They pack this place full of such beautiful finds. I will definitely be back.

I decided to stop in at Dwell to see if anything felt like a good fit. I didn't find exactly what I was looking for this time around - though they had plenty of great pieces and they get new items in all the time - but I have to share how wonderful and helpful their team is. Not only is the store well designed and easy to navigate, but while I searched, I was asked by a few team members during my walk around if I needed any help. They weren't pushy and didn't stop me from what I was doing - just gently reminding me they were there if I needed them. Eventually, I realized I could use their help with some design choices I wasn't sure about. They happily walked around and showed me items like what I was looking for, and they were so helpful in honestly replying to my questions about whether certain items would look right with my furniture, which I showed them a photo of. They were honest and weren't just trying to make a sale - letting me know that my hesitation was right and the certain item didn't quite fit. But they showed me some other items that might. Super helpful and I truly appreciate their time and friendly demeanor. Now, to the gem I found along the way! Last holiday season, I badly wanted to purchase this adorable golden bear decor, as it reminded me of the giant golden bears out on Water Street. However, they sold out quickly and had to be purchased as a pair with a second panda decor that I didn't want, so I never purchased it. Imagine my surprise when I walked in to the Interbay Dwell location today and found it! I'm so excited to display it for this holiday season. Once I finish up with my move, I'm excited to go back to Dwell and figure out the finishing touches. And I know the friendly team there will be there to help!

On my last visit, I found an extra-large bar shaker, which was such a win. It's perfect for making cocktails for a group instead of having to mix multiple rounds. Do not trust the associates when you put an item on hold, they will sell it unapologetically…read more I placed 2 ottomans on hold with an employee that were at the very front of the store. It was a great find, and I knew it would get picked up immediately, so I wanted to make sure that they held them for me while I shopped around as they were too big to fit in a cart. I urged the associate to do more than just place a sticky note on it that says "CSS" (customer still shopping) and at minimum take my name if she's unwilling to place behind the 2 ottomans behind the counter like I had requested. She assured me not to worry, and that both will be available to purchase when I go to checkout. Well guess what?! They ended up selling both of the ottomans I had put on hold while I was shopping! The associate didn't even apologize and the manager wasn't willing to lift a finger to make it better. I was so upset I ended up cancelling my transaction for the other items I had shopped for and left. Do NOT trust these associates to actually hold your items, even when you urge them to take more info/action. The least that should've been done was offering a discount on the other products I was planning to purchase (I even asked the manager, and she said "no" and was equally as unapologetic as the associate who was supposed to hold my items). Purely infuriating & dissappointing, will be avoiding returning to this store at all costs.

Rustic Blueprint - This is me proving that I was part of the door install

The owner James, agreed to pay me $75 an hour to install one of his over priced barn doors…read more He said it would only take three or four hours, it took 11 hours and though I recommended adding a header because there were no studs he hung a heavy barn door, bolted four times into drywall, and only three times into header studs. He then only paid me for three hours of work. I was outraged by this and he said the agreement was for three hours and I said well it wasn't three hours it was 11 hours. This piece of garbage doesn't pay what he owes. He agreed on text message later that he owed me an additional $520 but tells me that I have to take him to court because I hurt his feelings. I have it on record that he acknowledges that he owes me the full amount and this jerk has the audacity to tell me he's going to wait to pay me for it to process through court. Do not do business with this man. He doesn't install the work the correct way and he cuts corners. And then he wanted to demand my insurance and say that I am 100% responsible for the door install when I told him the correct way to do it, and all he did was dictate how he wanted it done and get in the way and slow down the door install process , he doesn't know how to use a tape measure and he measured it incorrectly so many times I had to redo everything he was trying to do. It would've taken half the time had I done this by myself, including opening up the drywall and adding additional studs for the barn door to mount to. This guy does terrible work and then he is a hostile liar. Manipulator. Trying to pay me $50 an hour instead of 75, and then coming up with nonsense babble about wanting to meet me in person just to waste my time and try to pay me less than what he owes.

ER visit - cast - from poor quality designed furniture…read more Loved the look of my tables from here, however had some staff that built the benches that were very top heavy. They had put layers of the felt pads under the legs on the benches which also didn't help the bench issue? They bandaided that problem (I never knew about the layers of felt until after ER visit). My daughter was on the bench that tipped and smashed her toe, resulting in an ER visit and cast for weeks. Please note, I was sitting right next to my child in a chair at the moment this happened. (She is not a wild unsupervised child.) The owner took back our benches and gave us back some money. Also quality issues for the actual table. The table also had issues with falling apart and had to go back in to be reworked. I found an amazing craftsmen with great customer service from Pinellas to work for me now, he meets at my house and will deliver for free. He does all of the work himself and truly cares about his high quality end product. Sadly, I wouldn't recommend this place. From the first impression to the last impression, it's all about great customer service and they could have taken the table back with the benches after the way we were treated at the end. Too small of a town to be treated poorly.

The fee was to include Melanie"s expert advice and over seeing our project. That did not happen. Taylor her brother (worthless) was sent to oversee the install and in the process he ruined our stair runner which had to be replace. They knew they had ruined because threads run/pulls were all through the runner, when I questioned Melanie about it she said she knew but that the runner had been discontinued and she would have to replace it with something else. She was hoping I wouldn't notice. The painter she hired was terrible I have had to repaint every room that he painted, when I pointed out the paint job her response was I'm not going to use him again, the tile installer chipped my counter and wolf stove and the whole backsplash had to be redone. Melanie tried to pass a halfway job on the the tile insertion on my bookcases, also the tile installer installed a chipped tile on the face of our fireplace. Never fixed. The fireplace mantle had to be removed and in the process they scratched the entire front of it. The amateur rendering of our plan was on cardboard and not to scale, I was out of town on installation day and my bedroom board was missing when I came back. When I questioned her she stated she didn't know what happen well I do, they took it because we didn't get the bed we paid for ( or and by the way it was used soiled and scratched) and she didn't want me to cross reference the pictures thankfully I took pictures of her boards before I left. The pictures were hung uneven, my custom bedspread was wrinkled beyond repair and had to be replaced. The silk curtains were also a mess of wrinlkles. My floors were damaged during carpet installation $3090.00 to repair. I'm still waiting to have those fixed. Beware dealing with this company, they want everything paid in full the day you sign the contract and you have no recourse if there is a problem. My emails and phone calls now go unanswered.
