I got to know them in 2015 after friends convinced me to take part in the Qigong class offered at the Crow Collection of Asian Art in the wellness program. I knew nothing about Qigong, my expectations were modest. The first class was profoundly refreshing - almost revelatory. How could a mere introduction to the ancient discipline of Qigong relieve pain, and give me the best experience of breathing I'd had in years. This may sound strange (Breathing? Really?) but I assure you it's true. I think I had forgotten how to breathe some years back, and it's been transformative to get that right again. I won't enumerate all the great outcomes. I do remain slightly mystified as to how something as subtle and quiet as this Qigong could have such far-reaching effects. Only wish I had started sooner. And I'll just add that Qigong is only a part of the healing work they do!
