She greeted me with a smile and so much enthusiasm. I was looking for a particular pair of glasses and she did everything she could to find them. With luck, we were able to find them. She was willing to assist with any questions or concerns that I might have had and presented everything with a smile. She provided great customer service to me and others in the store. She asked questions and wanted to talk to me with a personal touch and not just a regular customer. I truly appreciate her assistance and entertaining attitude. I went there today to waste some time while waiting on my son, whom I dropped off to college this week. I'm not from this area so I wanted to get to know the city. while walking around Macys I heard a man behind me talking loud as I turn around I see him and another women looking at me. the man was still speaking to the lady about "that's what they do, they come in here and case the place. they record the cameras and case the store" I looked back again the man and women is still behind me. I continued to walk and found my husband , told him what happened and I wanted to find the guy who said something and confront him. we found him in the women's dept speaking with the same lady. I asked did he work at Macy's he stated he worked at sunglass hut. I asked if the comment he made was directed toward me and if so he had no reason to assume I was casing the store. he became defensive and said the store was robbed an hr prior and his comments were about that. He laughed and scuffed as if he was appalled that even thought that about him. We walked away from him and the lady but to know Im leaving my son in this city for 4yrs and to know there are people who have the same ideology as your employee is frightening. Train your employees to do better and if he was so sure that is what I was doing he should stand on his truth when he was comforted and not lie. Dale recently fixed my current glasses (they were a mess and I love them, I use them so much!) without charging me and also was able to determine the issue with my prescription sunglasses, which were purchased at Eyes on Broadway but the downtown Winter Park glasses shop seriously messed up the measurements and I took them back 3 times and they never got it right. Dale looked at them right away and easily determined the measurements were totally off. I'm super happy with my sunglasses after Dale's help. When she walked in she told the owner how pleased she was with them. He was glad to hear it, but mentioned that he did not stock that brand anymore. But.... My wife politely requested the doctor (an older Asian woman) that the glaucoma test not be done. However, the doctor forcefully declined the request and told my wife she needed the test done. My wife is an alternative health practitioner who knows about the glaucoma test. She knew she was in a low-risk profile for it and that the test itself required usage on many, many people to find one existing case. My wife had no reason to suspect this condition. She asked again to decline the test. The doctor told her that unless the test was done, she couldn't be seen. So my wife left, and it wasted our time. I had a conversation with the manager who just repeated the same BS lines over and over again of "It's a different company," "the doctor says it's necessary," and "it's the standard operating procedure." Standard operating procedure? What BS. We all know that the glaucoma test has nothing to do with getting an eyeglasses prescription (which was all we wanted). We all know that glaucoma mainly affects the elderly (which my wife is not). Not respecting patients' wishes is unethical, condescending, and rude. I hope the management of this place holds its doctors to a higher ethical line and makes needed changes.
