While attending a work conference last week, we stopped to have some team fun! This was my first time ever at an Escape Room. We completed The Timeliner room with less than 2 minutes left on the clock! It was a fun and creative theme. While we started off a little slow, we quickly got in the groove to complete the challenge. I'm looking forward to the next opportunity to experience a new theme! The location was located in the mall. We were met by a friendly staff who was very helpful throughout our session.

It was way more fun than I thought it would be! We really had to put our thinking caps on for this one. Seriously, teamwork isn't optional, you absolutely need it to get out. There's 8 of us in the group (including 2 kids), so we didn't have to play with strangers. I'm so glad we decided to give it a try. Highly recommend this for a fun challenge!

We got the painting!

Very complicated, very fun, we had a great team that had some experience. I think this was one of their harder challenges.

When we first entered. The game master said we could take a picture.

We were looking to do an Escape Room on 4th of July (2025) and discovered the one we wanted to go to in Rocklin (Beat the Room) had closed its doors permanently! We didn't want to drive out to Folsom or Sacramento and have already done the rooms at Quandary in Roseville, so decided to check out Escape Game at the mall in Roseville. We were bummed when we saw that people could join your room if there were still spaces available. (Can hold 8 people, so if you only have 3 or 4, another family CAN join you.) I told my hubby that most people probably would check a different time rather than share a room, but he didn't want to take a chance. So I suggested we go LATE, after the fireworks, instead of daytime. That strategy worked out great. We showed up around 10PM and were willing to try the next escape room available that was wide open. We ended up doing Special Ops: Mysterious Market, and had a private experience. We've done around 13 Escape Rooms in 5 cities so far, and we all agreed this was one of our favorites...Top 3for sure. We especially loved the room we started in- the puzzles challenged us but we figured them out with little to no help. (Oh, and we LOVED the ambiance and setting! Felt very immersive. We've been in some escape rooms where the props were done kind of cheaply like a middle school art project. Not the case here. Good quality props, and fun puzzles!) The back half was a lot harder for us- we were very impressed with the technology there! It was more than we have had in other escape rooms, with the exception of the VR escape room. I would say difficulty is 8/10. Our game master/guide Andrew was wonderful. He kept his eyes/ears on us pretty well. We made sure we talked our thought process out loud so he could nudge us in the right direction if we were on the right track, or stuck and needed a hint. (Example without giving away spoiler: at one point , we felt we needed to do something physical but were afraid of damaging the prop. Andrew typed on the screen we were on the right track and it was okay to do what we had said out loud.) Fantastic experience! We definitely want to come back and try the other rooms! Oh - hint... check Groupon! They had discounts for groups of 4, 6, or 8 when I checked the next day, but we were only a group of 3, so the Groupon wouldn't have helped us, but maybe it works for your family.

We did the Timeliner escape room and it was so much fun!! Brooke helped us out and was super friendly and helpful. The novelty throughout the game kept us on our toes and we will surely be back in the future to try another one!

Located in the mall next to outside of Round1. Fun with a group of competitive people. Pricing is comparable to other places.

Loved it! We challenged ourselves with the Timeliner Room. It was set up well. The puzzles were difficult enough to give us a challenge. Full disclosure: we used the hints so it was very challenging. Hints were super helpful. Staff was great. (Shoutout to Kat! ) We thoroughly enjoyed it!

They were really kind and the gameplay was amazing and they also gave me a birthday card. :)

I absolutely love the Red Door Escape Room franchise, and the Rancho Cordova location did not…read moredisappoint! Their rooms are always incredibly immersive, with puzzles that actually make sense, flow well, and deliver those amazing "wow" moments Red Door is known for. I've completed all the rooms at the Concord location, so I had to venture out to try a different one. My siblings and I chose the Taken room, and it was both challenging and a ton of fun. The difficulty level kept us engaged the entire time, and the experience felt exciting from start to finish.

2 stars = "could've been better". Not saying it was awful but:…read more1) For a group of 4, they should provide more than one light source in the dark room we were in. 2) This was my first escape room experience, we were in a 9/10 difficulty room, and there were many combination locks involved. Probably more than 25 locks across the different scenes. One of the combination locks had letters so worn away it was very hard to read, so we spent 10 minutes with what we thought were the correct letters, only for a staff to point out that we had it on B when we all thought (4 of us looked at it) that it was on R. The paint on the B was worn off so it looked like an R. I told two staff about the letters being worn away, and neither of them seemed to care. Had they just said "Thanks for letting us know, we'll look at getting a new lock" that would have been good customer service. There is another review here mentioning "apathetic staff" and I think that's exactly what I experienced. Staff should inspect those items, in the dark as customers experience it, to see when things are worn out so as not to be readable. Not being able to see or read the objects should not be the challenging part of an escape room. Replacing a $5 padlock is better than a customer having a bad experience (with the room and with the staff) and never wanting to come back again. Overall, again this was my first escape room experience, but when the puzzles almost entirely rely on combination locks, that to me doesn't seem very imaginative. Granted it's not easy to find all the combinations, but it gets kind of boring keep figuring out letters and numbers for the sake of opening locks. If I ever do another escape room, I'll probably try it at a different business.

Having just watched the D&D movie…read morethe night before, we decided to do the dragon quest room, and it was exactly what we wanted. Fun little exercise, with lots of different styles of puzzles. The phone in the room was always there in case we got stuck (and in 1-2 instances where it was actually possibly a mechanical function issue), so HIGHLY recommend you use that if you think you need assistance. We made it out with 2 minutes to spare. The staff was also very friendly!

We showed up about 10 minutes before our scheduled time, and since another group arrived around the…read moresame time, we had to wait just a bit so the staff could go over the rules with all of us at once. It wasn't a long wait at all, and everything moved smoothly from there. One of my favorite things about this place is their leaderboard system--it adds a fun competitive edge! They feature the top three all-time best times as well as the top three for the month, which definitely motivates you to think fast and try to beat the clock. There were several themed rooms to choose from, and you can tell a lot of thought went into designing each one. I've done about five other escape rooms at different locations, and I have to say--the system this place uses is incredibly well-integrated. The way they handle clues and game flow made the experience smooth and immersive without ever pulling us out of the action. The staff was awesome--super friendly, funny, and clearly passionate about what they do. They actually create the rooms themselves, which makes it feel even more unique and personal. At the end, we were given a stamp card so we can come back and try the other rooms--and you bet I'll be returning to get every last stamp. Highly recommend this spot for both first-timers and seasoned escape room fans.
