After that, I asked if I can train with her in addition to the training I've been getting. Now I'm doing twice a week PT with her. She understands human body so well and how to effectively target specific areas. Everytime after workout, I am sore in those areas the next day and that proves the workout was effective. I highly recommend her as your personal training coach!

I've been training with Marlie Wile for about two years, and I've been extremely impressed with…read moreboth her expertise and the results I've achieved. She has helped me become stronger, fitter, and more confident in my workouts, but what has stood out most is her ability to adapt exercises to my individual needs. I came to her with persistent shoulder issue and advanced knee arthritis limiting my mobility and causing ongoing discomfort. Marlie took the time to understand the problems and incorporated specific exercises to strengthen and improve those areas. The difference has been remarkable--my pain has decreased significantly, and I have much better mobility and strength. Marlie is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in her clients. She pays close attention to technique and form while making sure every workout is challenging without being overwhelming. I especially appreciate how she listens to my feedback and adjusts the program based on how I'm feeling and what I'm trying to accomplish. I would highly recommend Marlie to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate trainer, particularly those who have physical limitations, prior injuries, or specific fitness goals. She has made a real difference in my fitness and overall well-being.

This is my second time with Green Door Life. My first time was in 2019 as a 1:1 client and this…read moretime I joined their group cohort. While I had the information from 2019 and could've incorporated it back into my daily life, what I was really looking for was someone/thing to be an accountability container for me. I chose to go back to GDL because of the results I had the first time and their structure is something that fits into my life right now. GDL updated their content and structure a lot since 2019 and it has been such a positive experience. The content for the 12-week nutrition science has expanded a lot since 2019 and continues to improve. The structure is really what made the experience for me this time around though. There are different ways to engage with the content and community through the app, instagram, and Slack. I love having access to an online community of coaches and clients who can provide feedback, resources, and affirmation! I love the live and on demand courses for strength training. The weekly calls were also a great opportunity to reinforce the lessons, ask questions about our progress, troubleshoot any challenges, and just be in community. Although Shannon was the lead coach for the group cohort, we were also assigned another coach that provided reflections and feedback on our weekly progress form. I appreciated how detailed the feedback/reflection were, which indicated to me how much of an investment they have on your progress. Throughout the 12 weeks, I felt fully supported and didn't feel like I was being judged. Everything was an invitation that helped us get closer to our goal. If you're looking for a long-term lifestyle change, GDL is definitely worth the investment.

I was genuinely excited to start this program. After investing in countless coaches and courses, I…read morewas ready to finally put an end to all the second-guessing and commit to a plan tailored specifically for me. I enrolled in the self-paced program after doing my research and seeing overwhelmingly positive reviews. In hindsight, not meeting anyone on video beforehand and relying solely on text communication was a mistake on my part. After taking the initial quiz, I guessed my body type and was assigned a coach who shared that same type. I followed the program precisely for six weeks and saw no results after the first week. Only then did I learn I'd been placed in the wrong program for the wrong body type. I was reassigned to one of the founders, who reviewed my case and matched my correct type. Another 2-3 weeks went by with zero progress, even after overhauling my routines yet again. I even paid extra for their Tier 2 service, with no changes or signs of improvement. I did everything that was asked of me: 15,000 steps a day, consistent powerlifting, hydration, structure, and discipline, yet nothing changed. Instead, my lack of progress was attributed to mindset, quantum physics, and somatic blocks. I'm trained in trauma-informed care and have spent years doing deep somatic and therapeutic work. I fully understand the mind-body connection. But when a program cannot deliver results, shifting the responsibility back onto the client feels dismissive and unfair. Ultimately, it felt like the blame was placed on me when my coach no longer knew how to support my case which is exactly why I hired them in the first place. While I appreciate receiving a $750 refund for the Tier 2 upgrade, I am still left having spent $1,500 on a self-paced program that did not work for me. This is simply my experience. Be thoughtful, do your research, and I truly hope your results are better than mine.

I love Liv. I came…read moreto her a few years ago with all sorts of shame around my non-athletic body - I had never worked out in a gym, never been on a sports team, had been a half-marathon runner but given up due to injuries - but I had walked past her bootcamp for months in Hal Brown Park and saw that the people looked like they were having so much fun! And they were! When I started, at every session it was like I had to figure out which muscles were even supposed to be firing - I had literally no idea. And gym machines? Scary and intimidating. But with Liv's positivity, encouragement, and general bad-assery, I've gotten stronger and I absolutely love it. I feel proud of myself and what I can do - and I love how I feel at the end of a workout! I also love how flexible it is - I do her outdoor bootcamps and indoor small group trainings, depending on my schedule, which is always changing. Some weeks I go 3x, some just once, but I'm never bored and it's never the same workout twice. And the community - you won't find a bunch of nicer, friendly, positive folks who are kicking their own butts anywhere. Everyone at Body by X (where the indoor classes are) is also great, with a big range of abilities and styles, so you definitely feel like you fit in no matter where you are. Thank you Liv!!!

I switched to her Small Group Trainings which I have attended for almost 3 years. It is a brilliant set up where I train with 3-5 others at affordable rates. I get the individualized attention to my goals coupled with the camaraderie of working out with others. Liv gives me my sets based on my goals and how many times I am working out that week. She does this with each person and then watches all of us to adjust our form, answer our questions, and switch exercises if it is not working with an injury we have. The workouts change so that it is never overly repetitive and keeps my muscles and mind engaged. Liv has a varied background that includes yoga, martial arts, and exercise masters education and she combines them all. Her to-go app means I can get specialized training when out of town. To top it all off, Body by X gym is a welcoming community with great ambience, excellent equipment and clean facilities. Come work out with us!

I initially sought out Brooke for physical therapy for chronic lower back and neck pain, but she quickly became more of a coach and holistic support system to me. Brooke is extremely talented as a physical therapist. She is also markedly creative, upbeat, and empathetic, and has impressive interdisciplinary experience in movement (e.g., yoga and jiu jitsu) and wellness. Every time I approached Brooke with a new problem or hurdle, she always responded with composure, a genuine understanding, and a new idea/solution that was thoughtful and useful -- one that I could actually implement. One of the most daunting, challenging aspects of chronic pain (at least in my experience) is how isolating it can be. Working with Brooke allowed me to internalize the fact that I am not alone. Brooke's support motivated me to keep going and believe in myself. Having someone like Brooke in my life with whom I could verbalize the ups and downs of my chronic pain journey, set goals, and take stock of my progress resulted in my chronic pain improving more in a single year than it had, cumulatively, in the 4 years prior. What's more, during the time we worked together, Brooke was able to help me ameliorate repetitive stress injuries in my wrist and elbow, as they emerged, in real-time. Suffice it to say, Brooke changed my life and I recommend her completely to anyone seeking mental or physical coaching or training. Brooke cares for her patients deeply and she is up for any challenge you might present to her.

She was, in fact, really great with her, having been a nanny for many years before she became a personal trainer. The very best thing about Marci is that she wants what YOU want. I've had other personal trainers who have wanted something different than I did, and were obviously not happy with my progress even though I was thrilled with it. Marci was right on the same page with me. Also, she comes very well-prepared with a workout all laid out specifically designed for you, but at the same time can change it all on the fly if she walks in and sees that you are a little under the weather, or have had a super hard couple of days or whatever. I always appreciated that about her. As you can see, I can hardly recommend her enough. Aside from all of these kudos, Marci is just a really lovely person. I have now moved away, and will really miss her smiling face and fabulous red lipstick!

Unfortunately, with kids and a career, I fell off the wagon and stopped exercising regularly for a number of years. I developed chronic back pain that got so bad that even a small simple movement could trigger sudden pain. I also had a permanent crick in my neck and reduced mobility when I would try to turn my neck to the left side. I reconnected with Marci last year who tailored workouts that would increase strength and flexibility in my back. The thing I really like about Marci's workouts are that they are short and doable - I don't have to try and motivate myself to do a grinding one hour workout. But if I do Marci's workouts 4 times a week, I really see results in how I look and in my strength. Marci offers live group workouts, recorded sessions and one on one Zoom training. I do one personal session a week and then live or recorded sessions several other times, depending on my schedule. My back was so bad last summer; today,I have no pain. I don't event think my back any more and can do all the things I used to. I would highly recommend Marci to anyone with back pain (I am in my fifties) or who is looking for a doable, short routine that will get you toned.

I have a revitalized passion for life and I owe much of it to the work I did with Jessica., who always kept my long term goals in mind and took every effort to provide a warm space to work in. I am so thankful for Jessica's approach, the space and support provided, and her holistic sense of what I needed in a given session. The knowledge and habits I have developed as a result of Jessica's care and support have made a huge difference in my life. Coming to the Connective was a wonderful development for me and I am forever appreciative of my time with Jessica. I feel ready to continue my journey and excited to continue my progress with the insights I have gleaned about myself, my relationships with others, and my outlook on life. As insurance did not cover our sessions, I paid totally out of pocket. That is the only reason why I am withdrawing from therapy; the sessions were worth the price, but my financial realities mean I need to take a break from The Connective. The fact that I stayed with the Connective for so long evidences that I found the experience truly helpful and rewarding. I would not hesitate to recommend this organization in general and Jessica in particular. Thank you!
