This clinic is great if you need something quick and short term. The front desk staff is kind,…read morehelpful, and usually gets you in fast. But when it comes to long term care, especially with Dr. Brooks, I've had major concerns. I've seen him twice, and both times were frustrating. The biggest issue? He only prescribes medications for 30 days at a time whether it's a controlled substance or a basic antidepressant. If your refill date falls on a weekend or you miss a follow up due to a valid emergency, you're just out of luck. That's unacceptable. As a psychiatrist, he should know the impact of missing even a day of an antidepressant. Brain zaps, confusion, impaired coordination, these are real and debilitating side effects. And to leave patients hanging like that, especially when they're dealing with mental health challenges, is not only unprofessional, it's extremely dangerous. Recently, I had to be rushed to Seattle's Harborview Medical Center after losing feeling from the waist down due to a spinal injury. I missed my appointment with Dr. Brooks, but I offered to provide hospital records and doctor's notes to explain. Still, I was marked as a no show, left without medication, and warned that I now have two strikes against me. There was little compassion. No flexibility. Just empty bottles and extreme added stress piled on top of an already serious health crisis. This kind of cold, rigid approach is not what I need in a long term care provider. Especially one in control of mental health medication. I've filed a formal complaint with the Washington Medical Board because no patient should be put through this kind of mental and emotional strain, especially when they've been on a stable prescription for years. If you choose this clinic, be prepared. Dr. Brooks will only give you 30 day prescriptions, and if life throws you a curveball, you might be left in a very bad place with no support.

Serious Ethical Concerns - Patients Beware I am writing this…read morereview to warn others about a deeply troubling and potentially unlawful practice at this detox center. While the facility claims to operate on a voluntary basis -- as is required by law -- they use a coercive tactic that effectively strips patients of that right. After driving two hours to attend treatment and completing nearly an hour of intake paperwork, I was presented with a separate document that, in my view, amounts to forced detainment. This contract stated that if I chose to leave Against Medical Advice (AMA), I would be required to forfeit access to my phone, car keys, and all forms of money for 48 hours. This was not disclosed upfront. This policy, whether legal or not, is ethically indefensible. It places patients in a position where they cannot leave safely or communicate with others -- in essence, holding them against their will under the guise of a "voluntary" program. What is someone supposed to do without a phone, transportation, or funds? Having previously had to leave a facility AMA due to dangerous underprescribing of critical medication (see my other reviews), I wasn't willing to risk my safety again -- especially without the ability to exit freely. I immediately left and drove the two hours back home. I urge others to read every document carefully and ask detailed questions before committing to care at this facility. In my opinion, this policy is a gross violation of patient rights, and I believe it should be reviewed by relevant legal and medical oversight boards.

BEWARE!!!! Most of the staff is not qualified in terms of healthcare nor counseling. They sell you…read moreon the program and its features/amenities, which they do not have. Finally, they charged me and then accepted payment from my insurance - and they didn't refund me, even though they owe me almost $2k. They also do not return calls nor respond to BBB inquiries. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
