It's got a nice ambience to it; the decor is sweet and the music is nice and even the chairs are ultra comfy and vary from table to table. The menu is as you'd expect for Thai, and the service was good. We ordered the Samosas, which really are just curry puffs. These were nice, but just needed a meat option like Chicken, for my liking. There was only vegetable, and I felt like meat was missing for sure. Having said that, the flavour was there and they were nice and hot (temp wise). The other entree my friend ordered was the chicken spring rolls which were lovely. Now the only issue with these two items, is that they come in two's. Most other restaurants have them in fours. We switched one out with each other, so we got one of each, but it left us kind of longing for more ... The main came out in good time and it was really nice. Nowhere near the best I've ever had, but they tried to put some effort into the presentation and it looked pretty. It was Chicken Fried Rice and if you have a Thai craving, it definitely scratched an itch. We didn't order dessert as the options were way too limiting, and also, we had to ask for menus as they weren't forthcoming (and restaurant wasn't busy), and so by the time that happened, it was almost too late to be eating that. Having said that, I'd come here again if in the area. It's not one of my favourites by any stretch, but they provide reasonable service in a cute and quaint setting and parking is easy enough and the prices are good. If you're in Port Melbourne wanting a good Thai meal, give this a go.

We love the Tom Yum fried rice and the Pad Se Ew, as well the good selection of beer and wine. Four Thai beers! As well as BYO wine. Caters for vegetarian, vegan and kindly accomodated for our FODMAP requirements (no garlic or onion). Great service whether you take away or eat in.

Incidentally, it was also the restaurant that we decided to be the one to end our trip on an extra positive note (best vacation we've had yet)! My partner and I have very different food restrictions/preferences and everything on the menu was perfectly suited for us. I highly recommend the red curry with tofu & vegetables along with any of their white wines! Overall, lovely service and charming atmosphere in one of my favorite cities!

Each dish is bursting with flavour made with real fresh ingredients. The colours, textures and tastes make you feel like you could be in Thailand. One of the best pad Thais I have ever had and I was in Thailand earlier this year. Portion size is huge. Come hungry come with friends. It is truly astounding. Best of all it is extremely well prices. It's almost a little hard to believe that something this good could be so cheap and so plentiful. Great little spot for a quick weekday dinner. The staff are friendly and more than happy to accommodate requests. I've eaten here a few times now and everything has been delicious. The snapper can easily feed 3 people with rice and the Tom khan soup is also exceptional. They also deliver and you can byo. There is really nothing not to love. I will definitely be back again soon.

We sampled the Chiang Mai larp - the spiciest dish on the menu and the clear highlight of the night; and the chicken wings to start. We were really surprised by the the size of the dishes, even for sharing dishes they were big. We then battled our way through four mains, the highlight of which was the pork curry although that is a little unfair to the perfectly prepared and presented half duck. A reasonable number of wine and drink choices at affordable prices. The restaurant itself was really busy with a great buzzin atmosphere, and I got the feeling this was the feel they go for, even on nights that aren't NYE. The only let down was the service, we had 6 people serve our table throughout the evening, ranging from fantastic to robotic and rude. Overall, we enjoyed our experience, both being impressed with the quality of the cuisine on offer. If you like Asian food you will like Long Chim. As an aside, the English couple next to us thought their dishes were too hot (hottest they had ever eaten), while that wasn't our experience, might be worth asking about heat levels if you are chilli averse.

Best dishes: veggie curry (really great taste and goes so well with rice), barramundi curry, and pad Thai (a bit on the sour side but was very flavorful). The glass noodles were a bit bland.
