An attractive old fashioned village pub with friendly service, evidence of local regulars, a huge hearth and cosy atmosphere, plus a conservatory extension and a garden with a childrens' playground and budgies in an aviary. We didn't eat here but the menu looked good (the usual pub options plus some more adventurous ones) and the portions generous. They say the food is home cooked though I can't vouch for the quality of the kitchen.
