I had my engagement party at the Eleanor and worked with Frank. My engagement party was a huge success and everything I could have hoped it would be! The Eleanor is such a pretty space and Frank was very easy to work with, positive and accommodating! I was able to have charcuterie like I wanted and a welcome cocktail for my guests! We were able to hand a DJ and bring some of our own florals and decor. Totally recommend having an event or party here! We had the entire down stairs to ourselves! We held our law firm's summer clerk party at the Eleanor and cannot be more pleased with our decision. I've been to the Roosevelt Room numerous times since it opened, so I know full well the type of world-class establishment that Justin and Dennis run. With that in mind, I recommended to our event planning committee that we host our law clerk event at Eleanor - the newly-opened event space next door to the Roosevelt Room. The space itself is beautiful and has a very similar feel to the Roosevelt Room, just on a smaller scale. It is elegant, but inviting. Refined, and yet very comfortable. The spacious front room holds the bar and numerous spots to sit and enjoy a cocktail. In back is a wide-open dance floor with projector screen, leading upstairs to a mezzanine area with bar no. 2 and plenty of seating. We had approximately 40 attendees, but could've easily fit double that with all the room provided. The space itself was only bested by the staff who worked with us leading up to the party and during. Frank Botello, the Event Manager for the Eleanor and the Roosevelt Room, worked with me from day one of my inquiry to design a proposal that fit perfectly with our firm's vision (and budget) for the party. Frank was consistently courteous, responsive, professional, and flexible, answering our numerous questions thoroughly and posing creative and helpful ideas and options during the planning process. Juggling many events between the Eleanor and the Roosevelt Room, Frank was still able to always make me feel like our event was a major priority. The day of the event, Frank and staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. The bartenders whipped up incredible cocktails with friendliness and a smile, fully accommodating all our guests' needs throughout the evening. Everyone who attended had nothing but positive comments about the event. I cannot thank Frank, Justin, Dennis, and the whole Eleanor/Roosevelt Room team enough helping us have one of our most successful firm events to date, and we will certainly continue to host firm events with them going forward into the future. read more

We chose to use the Eleanor Room for a Family Meet and Great two days before our Wedding. We love Roosevelt room and this seemed like a good option. It is close to everything in DT, Had plenty of space, and we could shape the rooms how we wanted for the best use of space for our guests (mix of older family, adult friends, and even some kids). Working with Frank was an amazing experience - he was easy to communicate with, wanted to make us happy, and worked with us closely on best way to have food set up, a great bar ready for guests, and the flow of the night as we wanted music, a video to play, and some Mic time for people to talk. The plan was great, he worked with us to do a run through the day prior, and was there every step of the way on the day of. Overall the night was spectacular. Food we got was amazing and drinks were great (we went open bar for guests). We are still hearing how much fun it was months later and how the food and drinks as well as the space was so nice. I chose The Eleanor as the venue for SoFin @ SXSW 2017 and we will be returning for every SXSW in the future for as long as they'll have us. The event manager Frank Botello made sure our event ran smooth as silk. We were in fantastic hands. Frank and the rest of the team anticipated our every need. It was a huge step up from. Our previous venue. The venue itself is the perfect setup for a corporate event that your attendees will remember. I really loved that the stage area for talks and demos was separated from the bar area where people could mingle without interrupting the presentations. Frank took care of everything and did it with unbelievable enthusiasm and charm. "Above and beyond" is hardly enough to describe the way Frank took care of us. I was pleasantly surprised to find myself feeling like I had walked I to all of my favorite Christmas movies with delicious drinks to boot! Impressed I asked who decorated the bar and came to find out @atbelow a bartender behind the bar did. She also has a background in Set Design which explains so much. When searching for a venue to hold my organization's year end celebration, The Eleanor popped up and I immediately fell in love with space. Once I actually saw it in person, I was impressed. We hosted a party here during SXSW. First of all, Frank and his team are great to work with. Frank handled all the arrangements for us and was always quick to respond via text or phone. Frank himself is incredibly nice and really wanted to make sure that everything we wanted was done well. Really excellent customer service. The bartenders and staff during the event were also great. For example, I was standing near the bar with a soda water and the bartender kept refilling it for me without me having to ask. Mixed drinks were well made and the food was good. The venue itself is set-up really nicely with comfortable couches throughout and a large downstairs and smaller upstairs area. The atmosphere was great - just what we wanted for a crowd that wanted to have in-depth discussions with one another in a nice space. Everyone had a blast and we are still hearing comments about what a great time everyone had. If you are looking for an event space I would highly recommend having it at the Eleanor! read more

I recently used this venue to throw a Surprise BDay party for my wife and am glad that I picked this venue. No doubt about it. When I started scouting for an event in downtown, I came across this venue and contacted the manger Frank and I met him when he took me and gave me a quick tour of the club and explained all the features really well. Frank has been absolutely amazing in his service, arrangements, explanations, clarifications, etc. His explanations and clarifications have always been very clear to the point and had most of the times responded to my calls and texts. There were times that he didn't respond when he was very busy during Holiday time (Nov/Dec) but I am fine with those. All the food spread outs, drink servings by the bartenders were very good. They were very quick and fast in responding to requests or any questions during the event. All the guests at the event had good things to say about them. I liked the way Frank had written all food item names on the chalkboards on food tables as requested. And decorations were very good and well placed. On the negative side, I felt the dinner plates could have been a little bigger maybe 12in plates rather than 9in plates. And post event before discarding out any stuff that the customer had come dropped off at the venue (for example, I had dropped off a bunch of decorations related items a week earlier and I am sure that not all the decoration stuff weren't used eventually but all the remaining stuff were discarded/recycled/thrown away). I wish Frank could have check with me as a customer before throwing away any unused stuff. Another guest had brought and left a gift card in an envelope on a table and that envelope (addressed to the Guest of Honor) looks like was thrown away/discarded. During an event and post event when leaving the place the guests/hosts most of the times leave in a hurry/haste, so there are always going to be things left behind or forgotten, so I suggest the management saves the items and contacts the hosts before discarding them away. Other than the above complaint, I was extremely impressed with the way the venue and the event were managed. If it was not for the above complaint, I would have given this a 5 star!!! My wife really had a blast and did get surprised big time as planned and expected. I would always recommend this place to others. Comments from other folks at the event: "frank was very friendly and made sure he attended to everything (to what I can remember). Our company hosted our 2019 Holiday Party at the Eleanor during their Miracle on 5th bar makeover and I highly recommend working with this venue for corporate gatherings of any type, especially your holiday party. The decorating was magical, from the Christmas Story lamp in the window to the ski lodge you felt immersed in a holiday wonderland. The holiday-themed drinks were delicious and made with care by their amazing bar staff, we had trouble closing our bar tab! Our employees loved the on-site catering, my favorite being the Texas Mac n' Cheese.
