It tasted like they had opened a can of diced tomatoes and poured it over spaghetti. My friend tasted it as well and said she couldn't eat it. - i sent it back and they said i had to pay for the dish even though when i ordered the dish at first it had been completely misrepresented on the menu and then the replacement was disgusting - the chef told me that if i didn't pay for that dish (while i was still more than happy to pay for the 3 other dishes we ordered and ate) that he would CALL THE POLICE LOL, I'VE NEVER IN MY LIFE BEEN TREATED THIS WAY. It's as if they don't want return customers. STAY AWAY--I spoke to lots of other people around town about it the following day and they had lots of similar stories to share. Most of these people just aren't posting about it on yelp so it goes unnoticed. I hope this restaurant completely tanks so that people won't be treated so disgustingly when they're trying to enjoy a nice meal. Cheers!

Drinks were expensive food was well priced. I had the veal and although my food was nice I have just spent the whole day and half of the previous Night in bed with gastro (today is also my husbands birthday, not very impressed). We won't be returning.

Had a bit of a mixed experience here. The starters tended towards the uninspiring side; the duck…read morespring rolls, in particular, contained an overpowering amount of onion. The stuffed mushrooms were better, but still not really anything to write home about. This place really redeemed itself when the mains were served, however. The 'signature' porterhouse steak, rubbed in spices and cooked up medium-rare, was among the best steaks I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly, and the spice-rub paired deliciously with the meat. The sauce it came with was tasty as well, but also superfluous. The spice-rub on its own was an excellent accompaniment. The calamari was also superb, with this being one of a small handful of places I've been to that's actually capable of delivering tender calamari. It wasn't even the slightest bit chewy or rubbery, being just lightly cooked through. It was also well seasoned, artfully presented, and quite tasty. Between the two options, the steak is the better dish, but it's a close contest and really both were excellent. The cost of that excellence appears to be slow service, however, as we were left waiting for quite a long time between our starters and our mains. We watched as other tables, including those that arrived after us, received their mains and desserts while we sat and watched. We ended up being the last table in the restaurant. I imagine that there might have been some dramas in the kitchen as they tried to serve up both dishes, perfectly cooked, at the same time. But I'm willing to forgive quite a bit in exchange for some outstanding food, and in the end that's what this place delivered. Dessert was also very good. Not as outstanding as the mains, but certainly far more impressive than the starters. And delivered without the lengthy wait, to boot. Prices are a bit towards the high end, but probably typical for this part of town.

Duck spring rolls for entrée; pork belly with pan fried scallops & soft shell crab as our mains; finished off with a dessert taster plate - absolutely to die for. Wonderful service from the lovely staff, we didn't have to wait for long for our meals & they kept our glasses filled the whole night. And even though the restaurant was fully booked, the atmosphere still felt romantic & cozy. Not over crowded or noisy at all. Will definitely be going back.

Decided to try this place out today as there didn't seem to be too many options around. Let me…read morestart out by saying - the food definitely surprised me. First of all, it is definitely NOT Mexican food. As someone who has been to Mexico many times and eaten Mexican food for most of my life, it is almost sad to see what they consider Mexican food to be here. A better alternative would be to say it is Mexican-inspired. However, the food did not disappoint. I ordered a quesadilla and it was nothing similar to a regular quesadilla. It came with very hard and crunchy nacho/crackers-type layers with the fillings in between each layer (I have attached my picture for reference). The meal tasted a lot better than it looked but it definitely should not be called a quesadilla. The food quality and taste is why they got 3 stars, however considering this to be Mexican food is why they lost some. This restaurant has potential to improve in the future.

Coincidentally, it was the birthday of another of our work colleagues that night, and we were able to quickly organise the same birthday surprise with an inhouse dessert as we didn't have time to grab a cake before dinner. The lovely staff were super helpful to quickly help us arrange the birthday surprise before the rest of our group arrived. After dinner I gave the nod to one of the wait staff and she brought out the birthday dessert - with the sparklers and sombrero for the birthday boy. In his words, he was pretty chuffed that we'd managed to pull off the surprise without him even knowing. Food is super tasty and amazing - great range of options on offer. Great range of drinks also available on the bar menu. Friendly and helpful staff. Location is relatively easy to get to and sits at a major intersection. Lots of parking available. Interior is quite quirky, but suits the vibe of the restaurant.
