The walls are quite thin and road noise was easy to hear. Luckily since it was off season, it was quiet all night. We had the breakfast in the morning and had no problems, it was on par with other Hampton Inn buffets and was well staffed/kept. There was a very social breakfast worker making his rounds through the crowd. Always nice to see a friendly face. The location is right next to the convention center. It was an easy drive to the big beach lot down the street and easy to get to Delaware and other bars. There was a parking lot at the hotel, we were not charged for parking. Unsure if they charge during the peak season.

This property should be avoided at all cost-

Totally missed on design, there's no where to place anything while you shower. I had to jam my body soap behind the installed shower supplies. Even better-- the electricity was free! Everyone who works here is super friendly and efficient. I had no problems at check-in or check-out. They have a pretty decent array of snacks that you can buy in the lobby-- they also have a self-check-out option. As pets are welcomed here, you may see a lot of 4-legged friends leading their people around. I really enjoyed seeing all the cute dogs. My room was wonderful and the bed and pillows were among the most comfortable I have ever slept on. I had a modest balcony where I could see Assawoman Bay and enjoy some fresh air. I especially loved the quirky details here. The curtains appear to have a pattern on them-- when you get up close, you can see they are strings of numbers which I just love. Bonus points for the Marshall Amp-like music player and radio. The price was also easy on this state employee's wallet. Thank you, Aloft in Ocean City, for providing such cool accommodations.

Main desk, heated pool, indoor and outdoor lounge chairs, business area, gym, and Marriott sales and back-office are all on the third floor. First floor is parking, with small entrance with stairs and elevator to third floor. Rooms are on the second, fourth and fifth floors and require room keys scanned with separate sets of elevators. The location, Fifteenth Street, was perfect for us. We wanted to be near but not in the noisy, busy area from about Fifth Street to the inlet. This Marriott Courtyard was a new, high standard hotel near but not in the action. Our room, second floor, was spacious and well appointed, oceanfront, with a nice balcony - I think all rooms have a balcony whether oceanfront or not. Ocean breeze, beachfront, boardwalk, sunrise wow! Parking first floor is under the hotel; regular vehicles can fit, but monster SUVs and large pickup trucks will not and need to park across the street in a Marriott lot with ample parking. One strange design flaw. Our room, #227, the shower curtain was two feet shorter than the shower tub. The result every day was water all over the hard tile floor, creating a dangerous and wet situation when using the sink, toilet or shower.

It was after midnight when I noticed this and I called down to the front desk for housekeeping to help but nobody was at the front desk. I went down to the front desk, and needed and looked for somebody for 10 minutes and nobody was around so called the main number for Marriott and was finally able to get through to the hotel receptionist who came out but was unable to provide anything other than a clean towel. I told him the least I needed was disinfected so I could clean the bathroom myself and after 15 minutes he brought some up to the room . I'm an ambassador Elite with Marriott and use points for the hotel so I certainly wasn't looking for room credits or anything else other than a basic apology but the manager never bothered to call or Reach Out and wow there's no excuse for a bloody towel which is an obvious health hazard to be hanging from my bathroom door without even an apology. This experience makes me consider boycotting Marriotts as a whole

The hot cookies were amazing and made check in nice lol The balcony was big enough and great views for a partial view but close when your neighbor is out on there balcony and smoking makes it so you don't want to be out there any. Plus late one night they were out smoking and you could hear their conversation from your bed while trying to sleep. One issue we had was at 5:30am the one morning the Hilton next door may have been doing renovations and a truck came to empty/pick up the flatbed dumpsters and of course that was extremely loud and woke us up. And it didn't stop there. Tons of deliveries until atleast 7:30am with the trucks backing up and constantly beeping. Again it's not the hotels fault but that made the whole day for us just miserable to the point we left that evening so we knew we could get a good nights sleep. It would just be nice if deliveries could start at the earliest 7am and I get it's off season but they should be respecting people who are there vacationing and still spending good money. I just know in the future to book an ocean front room hoping that won't wake us up again.

We were upgraded to a 2-room suite at no additional charge the day before checking in which was nice. I liked how the living room was its own separate but connected part of the room - a nice sectional couch near the sliding glass door and sunset views. Both the living room and bedroom had WiFi TV with access to streaming services which I'm hoping will be a Hilton-wide requirement for properties soon. The bedroom was also very spacious and the bathroom was large with room for activities. Overall - I really liked this property and it will be one I look up when staying in and around OC.

We had a warm, peaceful night's sleep in the comfy beds and, who do we see when we went to the lobby restaurant for breakfast? Ken! Still there working his butt off. We planned on using the gym, but had a great time meeting and talking with other Fenwick neighbors instead. Even though it had just snowed, we had to go to the roof bar to scope it out for the summertime. The pool looks inviting too! Fenwick Shores made what could have been a tough situation (no electricity) into something very enjoyable, and we are deeply appreciative.

I think you get a lot of value here. Parking is $10/day which is far cheaper than other options nearby. You are right on the boardwalk and there are oceanview balconies available (for a price). The hotel is composed of two buildings - the "main" building which is directly on the boardwalk and the secondary building which is immediately across the street. Each building has a pool on an outdoor deck on their respective 2nd floors. Neither one is noteworthy, but they are a nice way to cool off without going down to the beach. The included breakfast was below Hyatt standards. I felt like service was also a little below Hyatt standards - it seems like they try to very strictly enforce the Hyatt breakfast rules which creates friction for the 99% of people who are eligible anyway. I guess it would be exhausting to greet everyone that comes and goes through the front door that your management has put you 10 feet from...awkward, but they made that choice somewhere in the floorplan. The "thousand yard" traumatized stare of the young foreign bookends working the breakfast nook was a bit odd, but they were effecient and hard working. The breakfast is standard, there were hot items (meat, scrambled eggs, potato), oatmeal, cereals, fruit, also different breads and pastries. You would have to be pretty finicky to not find something to start the day. Coffee and tea are available 24/7, and they have a little pricey mini-market. Overall the place definitely has a dorm vibe to it. I haven't lived in a dorm in 45 years, so it had no particular appeal to me, but I wasn't bothered by it. There always seemed to be music playing, it wasn't too loud or anything, it felt a bit liked forced festivity. I could do without that. The room was large and clean, very spartan in setup which I kind of like. Minimal works. I don't need drawers but for some reasone because there weren't any I felt a bit deprived. I saw a review that mentioned storage, that must be a different kind of room. The shower was very good, hand wand and traditional shower head, good water pressure and hot. The wand has "thrust" sensation. The bed was comfortable enough, but not as good as other places I have stayed (I am a bit spoiled by my Marriott properties preference). I didn't book this, it was selected by travel team at my employer. We got a govt. rate for a conference I was attending, but still $325 a night [no way its worth that], location, in-season and conference in town. Yes corporate greed and price gouging is a thing. On third floor so no particular view, I had a sense of the ocean from my room window and understood the concept of the bay on the other side of the condos I could see from the elevator lobby window. The stench sunk into the hallways so it hit you the moment the elevator doors opened. We alerted staff, but the smoking continued. If they're not going to do anything about smoking inside a non-smoking property this otherwise well-appointed and well-situated property with gorgeous views and welcome balconies, this location will decline quickly. Hotels don't tolerate cigarette and cigar smoking in rooms. I don't get the lack of enforcement around weed.
