The Easington in a good modern pub located in the suburbs of Banbury, Oxfordshire. The pub is reletivly new in comparison to the village pubs and town centre pubs in the area. Therefore the pub has unfortuently immdiately little character. Like the Wetherspoons chain, they try they're best to recreate a traditional feel, but half succeed. However the beer and food the pub serves is of high standard generally, and what you'd expect from a suburban town pub. We have visited the pub on fairly frequent occasion, including last time, a quiz night. This was great, a really friendly atmosphere, cheap entry, and a good time had by all. The outside seating is really good too, with a heated patio area with modern tables and chairs. There is also a play area for kids. On the plus side too, the pub is big, and rarely packed, and its easy to get a drink at the bar.
Unfortuently the location lets the place down a little further, being located on a main road out of Banbury towards Chipping Norton. It is often noisy. The value on the other hand is great, much better than you'd find elsewhere in the area.
So in all, a good value pub just outside Banbury, cheap food and beer, but needs more atmosphere. Recommended all the same read more
