He was super upfront about what he could do and gave us recommendations even if we didn't move forward with him. He answered ALL of our questions and made us feel very at ease (especially after working with a contractor that was the complete opposite). Aston emailed me a very detailed and reasonable quote that evening and we hired him that next day. He is seriously one of the best contractors I've worked with (I work with contractors for a living so I've seen the full spectrum of good, bad, and ugly). He is super friendly and VERY communicative. I would rather have someone that over-communicates than under, because it removes assumptions from both sides. The work he does looks really great. Looking at my pictures, it's hard to believe that they are "after" photos and not "before" photos .

The longest wall in the house, the one you see from any vantage point, was covered in wood paneling that we had tried to disguise, rather unsucessfully, under a coat of bright blue paint after moving in. The wall opposite that had been covered in a mystifying checkerboard pattern of mirror and cork, which my husband had removed previously, leaving the wall surface pockmarked. We also had a crack in the ceiling that resisted patching. When we reached out to Brian, he was reponsive and personable. He started working as soon as we were ready, first diagnosing the issue with the ceiling crack and then doing a more permanent fix to keep it from returning. He was able to remove the wood paneling while preserving the wall behind so that it just needed a skim coat, and he smoothed out the wall that had been damaged by the mirrors. He followed this up with a light spray so that the texure matched that of the surrounding walls that we didn't touch. Throughout the process, Brian made sure we were all on the same page and that we were happy with his approach as well as the end result. We're so happy with the clean, updated look of our living space and will give Brian's number to anyone who needs drywall work done.
