Given the other options in town-I think this is THE place to be for Sunday football games. So many TVs upstairs and downstairs, and they have access to every game you could need. I think I liked sitting at the upstairs bar the most, but there was also some couch seating upstairs that seemed cozy. I was here for the Bills-Dolphins game and had the best time. It was my first time coming in, and I was a little intimidated walking in alone. Everyone was kind, and I enjoyed the selection of beers (and they have jello shots!) They do NOT have food here. The vibe is friendly, relaxing, and old school with decor that's elegant and tidy. As we sat at the bar, we chatted with the bartender and other customers. The drinks were excellent: a naked and famous and an absinthe service. Turns out the bartender was actually one of the owners! We thoroughly enjoyed talking with owners Jacob and Meg that night and two nights later when we visited again and had a whiskey sour and absinthe service, both perfectly executed. We also had a couple of great beers from their thoughtful draft selection. The owners obviously put a great deal of love, thought, and work into this bar and it truly shows. I felt like I'd been transported to New Orleans. If you're in Portland, don't miss this place. It way exceeded our expectations in every aspect. We will be back.

The bartender was also really nice and welcoming, which always makes a quick stop even better. We didn't try any food this time, so I can't speak to the menu, but I would definitely come back to experience more of the space. I could see this being such a great spot for a date night, girls' night, or even just a nice nightcap after dinner.

Super cool dude and his counterpart serving tables was equally friendly and down to earth. The place was welcoming on the inside with sort of an open concept kitchen kind of vibe, with lots of outdoor seating as well. Ever on the prowl for a fun cocktail bar, we were excited to check out a place that was a James Beard nominee (though the last one was in 2017 and the accolades seem to all be 4+ years old at this point). My wife opted for the Pimm's Cup. We don't really have Pimm's by us so it seemed like a fun thing to try. It was a really refreshing and flavorful drink with some fruitiness and acidity. Really tasty and well-balanced. After speaking with Matt, I shared with him my love of rum, to which he responded by sharing with me a creation he's been tinkering with that is currently off menu. It was a really fun rum drink with some Jamaican (actually Fijian) funk, a little fruitiness, a little acidity, and just a touch of bitterness. It was a really enjoyable drink with lots of layers and really refreshing after a hot summer day. All in all, a really cool place to check out and have a beverage or two. Definitely going to get that rum-infused espresso martini next time too!
